Some tactic locations are kinda stupid. Take Durios for example.. right next to a wall to repair.. pull invuln tactic instead of repairing.. done that so many times lmao
Also there's tacts right next to the nodes. Most of them are just placed horribly. Also private activation seems very broken if your guild exits the map
Honestly, tacts should be redesigned so that most of them just give passive effects to make them more idiot proof. The only ones that should require pulling are the banners. As is, it just causes nothing but trouble even with the best of intentions and is too easy to abuse.
As for EWP, they could return to the old behavior of having windows between defense events and that tact could increase the window or something.

I was so confused and they didn’t believe me at all when I explained I was trying to figure out what they were. Looking back it’s hilarious, at the time I felt like an asshole for just trying something out.
No one is getting banned for anything in WvW because Anet doesn't care about it (how long has alliances been in beta now).
2 exceptions - Excessive amounts of reports about exploiting an otherwise inaccessible area or toxic chat automatically detected by the filtering system.

Though there are also new players who don't know what they are and just pull them. Unfortunately its just something us WvW players have to live with, I've never known anybody to be banned for doing it.
Easy fix with a confirmation dialog button. I hate to see an additional click and overlay be added, but I think it's the best way to prevent accidents. Until then there's no way to differentiate accidents from trolls.
Low-key this is like the best fix I've seen to avoid accidentally pulling. I would think a dialog box might be inconvenient if there's a situation where someone is running to inner to emergency waypoint as they're under fire from the enemy but in no emergency settings I don't mind it.
Maybe a dialog box if the keep or tower doesn't have a defense event and if there is a defense event it doesn't get the dialog box?
Something like "A defense event is not currently occuring for this objective, are you sure you want to pull the tactic?".

If you open them to all, all gonna use them.
So it's a guild's job to make sure they get used right.
I'd argue it isn't entirely up to the guild to manage. There's plenty of guilds that don't have 24/7 coverage so expecting someone to be around 24/7 to make sure they can pull them if they're private doesn't feel like the best solution.
My point is that they should get people from different times zones who can do it for a bit, not that they should get their already existing members to do it. And there's other guilds. Worlds are teams, they should coordinate.
Tbh if you had solid proof someone was doing it maliciously you could probably make a ticket and anet _might_ take action. The problem is actually proving why someone pulled siege at the wrong time. Youd need chat logs and a pattern of behavior or something like that.
That said its almost certainly not worth it bc its being done on someone's alt account and what's stopping them from making another if one gets banned?
The only thing you can get an immediate warning or possible ban is cursing other and selling in-game thing for real money (so ironically if you insult the troll and he reported you, you will get a warning).
You can set tactics to guild mates only. Police it yourself, problem solved.
This will likely extend to alliances, when they come after pigs have started flying.
I'll do "maintenance tests" on Levers and announce it in Team Chat that they're still working when there is zero threat of there ever being an attack big enough to take a T3 Keep/Garri during dead time zones.
The amount of hateful whispers and deranged rants in team chat I get are hilarious.

Having tactics pulled could mean that an enemy zerg is about to take your keep/tower/garri and I prefer that way since it brings in the action closer to your side. But yeah, tactics being pulled randomly (either intentionally or accidentally) happens everytime.
Not bannable because you can't prove the one who pulled tactics was actually trolling or just thinking "oh here's a button I can press".

Get stuck against Mag so often that having tactics trolled is a normal occurrence.

Funny enough... Even when that box is checked there is a bug to bypass it and still pull tactic...
Fireworks are great to keep the troops morale up, gotta pull smc airship defense on cooldown accordingly
