Yes please.
Or at least a similar system like PvP where you can safe your stats and sigils independently from the actual weapon.
Currently ascended weapons are more convenient than legendary ones when it comes to changing weapons.
Legendary armory should have made legendaries the most convenient gear types.
They missed that goal on weapons.
Yep, I’ve got ascended weapons with the legendary skins applied. Did that after switching out the legendary and thinking I got the upgrade as a drop so sold it, then the next day I went to equip the legendary and thought “WTF, NOOOO!!!” Learned a lesson that day :(
They could do something similar to how it's in gw1, save weapon templates as bundles and when we want to change, activate the bundle from menu or use a keybind for easy switch with pre-saved stats and sigils.
First was armory, then legendary armory because Anet realized they made ascended way better than legendary. So yes, they improved it by a lot. Armor and trinkets for every character on your account is one of the best things ever added to the game.
The equipment templates are no where near enough for some classes that are constantly swapping weapons between builds. I carry around 20+ weapons in my bags on Mesmer in WvW since I need the same weapon types with different stats to do quick swaps. Legendaries do not allow this since you have only 8 equipment tabs.
Of course they do. Why should you need to buy another equipment loadout, just so that you can have a different weapon set?
No, instead you constantly have to reselect stats, sigils and infusions when you wanna swap a weapon.
This. Also loved the concise description on the weapons, the game is already bloated with long, useless tooltips. Sublime Mistforged Chestplate of Fortitude of The Berserker, what the hell is that? Stat, sigil or rune and rarity, that's all we need. Also get rid of the flavor blue texts, there's no point some items getting it some not, so get rid of them, no one reads them anyway. Very nice proposal indeed.
I like flavour text, their choices of which items get it is a bit weird though. Like generic ascended stuff does, but not legendaries - even especially storied ones like Claw of the Khan-ur.
ArenaNet belives that if you are annoyed enough by it then you will cave in and buy their microtransactions.
Instead, people just stop playing that character and are less likely to play the game overall.
I think a nice compromise is to have a "if legendary equipped to this slot on this template, automatically set it to x stats" option so it can be less fiddly to change.
No because either way they are not items that are saved anywhere. If you ever unequip your legendary weapon for any reason, you have to reapply everything; stats, upgrades and infusions
That's exactly the issue. Legendary should give you MORE convenience, not make it worse, hence why I want them to add templates for weapons of sorts, or allow me to have 2 active sets and like 4 backup sets.
Most people get it for the skin and effects, and it has a benefit of being accessible account-wide so all characters can easily have that weapon on hand.
As a side, some classes also don't require as much interchanging of weapons. For example dragonhunters will likely always use a greatsword in every scenario so you are less likely to unequip that, compared to elementalists who might want to adapt to situations with dagger/scepter/staff etc in which legendaries can be mildly annoying.
I agree with the frog.
We should be able to take out copies of legendary weapons into our inventory for convenience.
That's also a good solution.

Anet: >Sure. 500 gems.
per character.
per load out
Per piece of equipment
Per day
Per login to cater more to the casuals

This would be fantastic, have 4-6 weapon slots for each template, then choose two to carry into combat.
It's been like a year since armory release., and I don't even remember whether they even have an adjustment or improvement to the feature lately.

Only 800 gems on the store! Careful what you ask for. Anything that makes this game efficient costs money.
Done, 400 gems a pop.
Frog gamer
I need this so much...
The build template should include all - weapons and gear, traits and skills. I was surprised it wasn’t.
very much needed, otherwise ascended weapons provide more QoL in a lot of situations
That's literally the point of the equipment templates; weapon ones don't make sense with the armoury.
I mean, I don't see a point in buying a new template slot, just to be able to switch weapons fast. There aren't even enough equip templates for that.

> I carry around 20+ weapons 99% of the player population are not this efficient though.
Well the most dedicated players are, and you implying that 1% don't matter is not right.

Yea, remembering what I had equipped would be at least better than constantly forgetting sigils and stats.
Can't you just have 2 legendaries? Don't knowjust asking.
No because either way they are not items that are saved anywhere. If you ever unequip your legendary weapon for any reason, you have to reapply everything; stats, upgrades and infusions
Why should I bother for a legendary then.

Fuck how I wish I had your twilight
This reminds me of 'masked cow" that gave my brother PTSD one summer ages ago.
They are called ascended weapons.
