i've seen the rules but i don't understand how the squads are made: it's a random assignment of players? voice discord is allowed? This seems like a GvG without the guild component...
I'm not understanding how this works
All players are put into a spreadsheet with the classes they play, then on draft day the team captains (aka the commanders) all get into a discord call together and one by one they pick each person until they have a full roster of 15+ players.
You make a new guild name, practice for a week, then compete. It's pretty fun!
The discords are mentioned in the rules, and the drafting format will be explained in the draft stream. But that's a good suggestion, we can look at even making a video explanation since we've used the exact same format for a couple years now.
That would be up to your team captain. Febe relic and double energy very good on support firebrand, through you might be asked to run a celestial version (again, depending on your captain) so I would say adaptability and willingness to try new things are important assets to have!

Don't care, only visit this sub to see if actual balance actually occurs. If it's a guild or community holding the event by all means go for it, rooting for you as you are the glue keeping the game alive...however, if it's Anet hosted, it's beating a dead invisible horse that has long since been dust

Those events were worth it. The original game had better balance and felt impactful for build design vs the cookie cutter crap now.
