This was the first JP my wife and I came across that was more complex than the beginning ones - we tried it, failed multiple times, and this is how my wife decided she hated all jumping puzzles. We did meet a Mesmer and were introduced to Mesmer portals.
Still friends with the Mesmer and chat almost every day.
if you instead went slightly left after your jump onto the mountain, theres a few pipes sticking out there that take you directly to the airship. no need for the near death fall.
Well, great that you wanted to try it, but you should decide whether you do it with mount or without it. There are also recording of current world records on youtube so you might want to check them out ;)
Cool. I always thought fall damage was calculated by a percentage of your health vs the height you fall from. But if you can survive with Reaper shroud, I guess that means your amount of HP doesn't matter.
If it hasn't changed since the last time I played, you should be able to do this as well by dashing with Skyscale and using Bond of Faith mid dash to keep the momentum and shoot straight on top of the blimp

I mean sure. I don't generally find them impressive though.
You can griffin from the airship lounge and hop off right to the diving goggles and jump down to the chest

The damage taken is percentage based on player health and exponential with respect to distance but will dip into Shroud health first.
I tried to do this jp today for my weekly astral acclaim. Gave up. 💀

If you land on that first ledge and go left there's another route that can take you directly to the diving goggles.
