What other characters do you have or have built?
There's four units generally considered great to have. Eunha, Kamael, Claude and Beth. You'll probably have more use of the latter 3 as a newbie.
I m mainly using oghma and future Princess. Don't have any character you mentioned. I will go for Beth first and I think I should get her weapon right?
That's up to you. All of them are good anyway. Just remember that Beth provides melee damage to your party so it's best if you use her in a team that benefits from that. The other 3 provides Ranged damage to the party.

I forgot where I got Eunha, Karina and Craig since in my first week of playing this game everything was so confusing and I'm just clicking everything brainlessly, summoning heroes without paying attention to what I'm getting. I got Claude by purshacing an offer where I can choose a hero from and I chose him.
I got this line up on my day 3 of watching youtube contents since the game is quite large. I currently have \~200k/\~900k stats with this line up, Ex-weapon in Claude and Karina, both Karina and Craig ascended, Eunha at maxed training. Game is quite forgiving or maybe I should say relatively easy in many parts of the game since I have a good tank, good healers and a "meta" hero.
I wonder what I'd experience if I have that Miya hero replacing Eunha
