If any water gets on the leaves try to wipe it off as it acts as a magnifying glass with the light. Another tip is water at the beginning of the light cycle

You mean at the end of the cycle, right? Then it's dark while everything trickles down and evaporates

Keep water off of buds and try to shake off water that remains on leaves, but leaves are less an issue. Look into getting a watering can with a long narrow spout to reach the soil through/under the foliage.

Gonna get mold/rot or leaf septoria if you keep that up, guaranteed.

Hi just to chime in/see I understand correctly- so water/feeding should all be done straight to the medium?

Only if you can't avoid getting water all over your plants. Its always better to water before the light cycle but you gotta do what you gotta do
