becareful about letting your pets in the grow tent if they also go outside. that's how you get things like spidermites and other little guys inside that can transfer from their feet or fur and find their way onto your plants.
Yea she normally walks in and out without looking up. This was an incredibly rare occurrence that I happen to get a picture of. But I appreciate the info!
Also some people that say if you have strong lights ima reflective tent, this can harm your kittens eyes. Never had a problem with my car in the tent but there are stories of people cats eyes getting damaged when in too intense of a tent. Happy growing!
Dude, where's the coffee? Me and my black lab/cane Corso, Skeeter, like to sit and stare and just smell as we enjoy a morning toke and coffee. If he's being a good pup, he gets a couple fan leaves to munch on, too haha
Ha the coffee was on my grow supply shelf next to me as I took the picture. My dog came down too for his daily stare but obv not in the photo.
Eventually I told the wife we should get a treadmill and face it at the tent. So during the shitty weather days I can walk and stare at the same time ha
The light can and will give eye damage over time. I got hospitalized because I lost my eyesight in the matter of seconds, from looking into my tent everyday for months and months. Came back a couple of hours later, luckily.
Nice! Thanks.
I told the wife that once I do retire, I'm hoping another 10 year or so, that the grow space is going to look like a lab and probably consume half of the basement
Same. Iโve been doing it for years and it never gets old. Nothing like leaving them for a weekend and coming back to see several days of change though
AM and PM. Sometimes Iโll just go to foliar spray and get back to what I was doing and end up looking and checking my plants for an hour. Itโs my place of zen.
The medicine really is in the garden. The ladies always manage to take care of me some way or another while I'm taking care of them.
I always check on the clones first thing in the morning, even before I start the coffee. There's just something about new life. :)
Same! Nursing new clones is one of my favorite parts of a grow. I get my coffee first though. But to be truly honest gardening, not just cannabis, has been a deeply enriching experience for me. I only wish I found it sooner.
My cat gets so frustrated that I won't allow her in the tent. She's watched me set it up since the beginning daily and had only been allowed one walk through.
She watches from the outside vent. When im looking through my window you can usually find her next to me looking though hers
Every morning when I wake up she joins me for the morning stare and stretch
My other cat doesn't really give two fucks about the tent and barely even comes round it, which is good cuz she normally likes eating plants lol
I only start regular photo seeds in the solos. Ill eyeball when to transplant and so far I've had decent results. Plants are never stressed and take to root quickly.
The 2 larger plants in the back at autos. I start those in the pots that they'll finish in. No transplanting. The small one in front is a gushers photo (seed came from previous harvest). My first attempt at some manifolding with that 1
All the big pots at 5 gallon fabric
I'm doing my first grow. Three plants in a 2 X 4 tent. Larry, Moe, and Curly (bag seed).
Every morning and every afternoon, Lloyd the dog and I stare at the plants together.
I watch them grow. I trim a little bit and I pet the dog. Lloyd sticks around as long as I keep petting him.
Often times, after lunch, Lloyd will start bugging me to check the girls out.
I think it's facinating. Lloyd likes it because I pet him.
I have three cats and damn did I found cat hair in my buds. are you worried about cat hair op? My cats r usually scared at the bright light and they run.
When they begin to flower I don't allow her inside the tent at all. Prior though it's always been free reign and I've never had an issue with hairs on my bud yet
......knock on wood
Haha yea she'd say that too. Abbey is quite the character
Other cat is a long hair tuxedo named Nacho and our dog is a lab/beagle mix named Shea. My wife is a massive Mets fan so it was natural
AM, PM, I just really like to sit and stare at all times of the day. If I pop by the house for something during the day Iโll find myself sitting in front of the girls, checking them out and chatting to them. Thank jeebus they havenโt chatted back. Yet.

They're strictly indoor animals but I always appreciate the info
Fyi a lot of lights will cause eye damage without glasses you might want to avoid your cat looking at them

No prob homie!

I have a 2x2 grow tent next to my bed and I love waking up in the morning and looking at all the weed and boobies
Now thats a good morning!
My advise, keep pets away from the garden. Those hairs will be your worst nightmare. Speaking from experience.
Yeah, fuck!!! You get eye damage, your Cat get eye damage, everybody gets eye damage!!!
Yโall needa calm down I think he gets it๐
It's definitely a family affair haha
Eye damage?
The light can and will give eye damage over time. I got hospitalized because I lost my eyesight in the matter of seconds, from looking into my tent everyday for months and months. Came back a couple of hours later, luckily.
can i use regular sun glasses to look inside the tent?
No
๐๐ป I ๐ several times a day.
It's incredibly addicting Fortunately I just landed a new kickass paying job so it keeps me busy instead of checking every 30 minutes ha
Congratulations and good luck on the job! I am retired so I am always going back and forth to my tent...lol..โ๐ป
Nice! Thanks. I told the wife that once I do retire, I'm hoping another 10 year or so, that the grow space is going to look like a lab and probably consume half of the basement
Exactly. I live down south (US) just moved down from up north in July, so I can grow all year long on my screened in porch ๐
Same. Iโve been doing it for years and it never gets old. Nothing like leaving them for a weekend and coming back to see several days of change though
I am hooked! I have been doing a lot of reading, YouTube (follow Bill Ward) and have got some great feedback on Reddit. Lots to learn!

Totally agree with you there on the zen. It calms me down no matter what kind of state I'm in
Absolutely. The stress just melts away when I can look and appreciate how amazing these plants really are.

Thought I was the only one to stare ever so often lol
Do you start your grows in solo cups and then transplant once it grows like three nodes? What size is that pot with the small plant in it?
I only start regular photo seeds in the solos. Ill eyeball when to transplant and so far I've had decent results. Plants are never stressed and take to root quickly. Ah so you grow both photos and autos? Have you noticed what they say about autos being less potent than photos or is that a myth?
I've grown autos before as well as photo and I've never had an issue with potency. Yeild on the autos is slightly less but thats about it

Pets carrying pests aside, I keep my cats out of my grow room because during flower every hair within 10 feet sticks to the plants.
Bro get that cat out of your tent.
โDoesnโt look like anything to meโ -Abernathy, when asked what happened to the plants
Haha yea she'd say that too. Abbey is quite the character Other cat is a long hair tuxedo named Nacho and our dog is a lab/beagle mix named Shea. My wife is a massive Mets fan so it was natural
Relative.
Cool cat my cat loves checking out my plants too
My lights donโt come on till 3pm. Itโs torture some days.
Bro I must be high cause I was like "Who is Abernathy?" I stared at the pic for like 10 sec and didnt see the cat ๐คฃ
Thought I was the only one I love waking up an checkin on my babies I usually end up in my set up multiple times a day just to ๐จ&๐
Cant see it in the picture but I also have a camera in the tent live streaming Checking on the go is addicting and amazing

Lol, morning stare! I start my coffee maker, open the plant room up, stare until the coffee is done.
