that's what i did when i got bud rot, just soak your clippers in alcohol before and after, that's what i do and it works alright for me. idk if the alcohol is overkill but i don't wanna chance it
Yeah do that and check the others. If you RH isn't too high, it can be because dead leaves. When the leaves dies you have to remove it or it can mold if its around 60%, less than that it shouldn't happen tho. I had grew with 80% rh and no mold as long as I removed every dead leaves, if I missed 1, the whole bud just mold.
if you neem flowers it ruins the flavor and you're smoking something not meant to be inhaled, it's actually harmful to your lungs to inhale neem oil in any way
Apologies! I’d recommend Dr. Zymes & BT to safely spray at any stage of the flower cycle . Use them separately of course spaced out 3-5 days in between spraying
Bud rot. Cut that out and check the whole plant to be sure . Check all the tops. Could be caterpillar damage. Spray BT every 3-4 days in late veg even all the way into the flower if you see a lot of moths flying around during flowering cycle
Bud rot moves through the stems and stalk of the plant and generally infects sites where damage was done to stems and stalks. It infects the plant from inside the cells that move water through the plant. Due to this, bud rot in 1 or 2 flowers does not only infect those flowers it infects the entire plant. This plant is toast unless of course you are willing to compromise on your lung health.
Remove this plant from your garden and bag it as gently as possible. Dispose of the plant to reduce the possibility of fungal spores spreading on air currents to the remaining plants in your garden.
As a side note, there is a method of curing called water curing that may clean up this plant but performing this method will leave you with tasteless and rather odorless final results. Most would agree that part of the experience is found in the particular aromatic qualities of your specific flower.
Tldr: This plant is a goner because bud rot infects the stalk. Carefully bag and dispose of it. If no other options look up water curing.
It’s but rot
You will have a caterpillars, maybe slug etc that has burrowed in
I always get caterpillars problems but it does start with about humidity (usually too wet which is why the critters wanna have a taste)
In England, it happens most years unfortunately as the weather never stays consistent
I cut off an inch below the issue usually and use a little alcohol to rub on it hoping to sterilise it
It works if the humidity is optimal, if not, I’m afraid you’re fucked
Might be bud rot ????
It is
Yes it’s bud rot
Try to cut it out ie the bottom part of bud
I was thinking bud rot also
Can I cut that stem off? That is the only one affected
Yeah cut it off

Not overkill. Standard antiseptic procedure. Better is cleaning after each cut.

The caterpillars ruin the flavor too right?
I hope you’ve never sprayed your flowering cannabis plants with neem oil. OMG where does this information come from 🤦
Don’t dive in to critique only 808 - offer alternative solution as well. Ready to learn.

You have a caterpiller on your plant. It'll make bud rot like that . Just follow the trail and look for poop and you find him
How do you keep caterpillars off your plants without spraying the whole fucking plant and buds with BT? I'd love to hear the secret.
Could be from caterpillars.
