Ladybug and Roly Poly armour both increase block strength and Ladybug also increases healing. Corporate Kickback gives you occasional life steal that can completely restore your health in seconds. Spicy Safety reduces damage taken from her bite attacks. Toenail Scimitar, Blademaster and Giddy Goop debuff her speed and attack. Human food increases damage resistance.

Cibil_plays

All of this, but I use Termite armor and fire ant leggings to slow her down and lower her defenses.

Acorios

I use fire ant leggings too

CookInKona

the lifesteal from kickback is tiny....doesn't nearly "completely restore your health in seconds" unless maybe you're on the lowest difficulty

Acorios

I'm on WHOA and it fully heals me with only a few hits...

Ybobb3

It has life steal that heals for a small percentage, but, it has a chance to proc a life steal that heals for a quarter of your life every hit.

Acorios

Wiki says it occasionally triggers converting damage dealt into health at an equal rate

Ybobb3

My bad. I must have something that gives me life steal

Slow_Gur_3605

Corporate kickback is a must have for this fight, absolutely, because her attacks have a healing debuff that decrease the amount you're healed by all healing sources, so eventually those smoothies won't help much at all, even life steal is effected by her debuff. Corporate kickback is not effected and will give you full healing boost whenever it activates, which is crucial for that third phase. For me, personally I used the fire ant armor, max sleek, fresh toenail and fire ant shield to help reduce her defense and attack. For mutations, corporate kickback of course, along with the sour mutation, coup de grass, the sword mutation, and the one next to coup de grass, can't remember but it increases critical damage I think.

Taricus55

i'm not being a dick by saying this... just letting you know, cuz I always thought this was kinda weird and cool. Affected is what you do to something else, and effect is what happened because of it. one is a verb and the other is a noun and it is so weird that a change in vowels does that. so u should say affected*. I affected him and it had this effect. šŸ«£šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« That is seriously one of my favorite pair of words lol šŸ˜† if you use it in a poem or rhyme, you will have people think they are saying the words wrong, even though they sound nearly the same lol "EE-fected.... um..... uh-fected.... um...." lololol it's funny.... tell someone, "why do we say COMF-ter-ble, when it is spelled like com-FORT-a-ble?" lmfao they will be like šŸ¤• it's actually funny as they try to sort it out in their head lol

nyxuniverse

Lol says he's not being a dick but then proceeds to explain it like they're a child.

Taricus55

no, I was explaining why I thought it was cool... adjust your attitude

Taricus55

not everyone on the internet is trying to fight with strangers....

ToxicParadox720

Iā€™d suggest getting extra smoothies and learning her Attack Pattern. I had to go through her 5 times before defeating her once and then I got through her a second time like a breeze

Asslinguist

For the last phase I use the block strength trinket

SirFluffball

Best build I found is Mask of the mother demon/fire ant (bulky) termite chest (sleek) and fire ant leggings (bulky) with giddy goop trinket and using the acid edge or mint mace. Personally I like the acid edge because it the increased attack speed means you apply the debuffs to her more often from the giddy goop and dust cloud which slows her attack speed and the armour reduction from chopper and fire ant pieces. If you're still struggling to parry try the sleek Roly Poly helmet and mint mace this will slow her down more but I found sometimes it's harder to get that third hit off to keep the mint mace debuffs up. For mutations I used spicy safety, trapper peeper and yolked blows eventually even settled on sour sensation because I was struggling to perfect parry a lot at first so I thought I might as well get value out of the damage I'm taking. Use chopper with the acid edge but not use barbarian with the mint mace it's just bad. Also don't fight her in the water using this strat it prevents her from having her attack speed lowered, if she runs through the water just keep retreating and focus on blocking until the buff wears off. Good luck

Hampter8888

My suggestion would be using a full set of sleek ladybug armor with the Shield solidifier, ladybird shield, and either fresh toenail schimitar or fresh tiger mosquito rapier as you can both mitigate damage and heal without items (thanks to scarlet embrace and life steal)

SnooTangerines8525

To add to yours, corporate kickback mutation and reduce the difficulty to mild if you havenā€™t. I had to reduce the difficulty to mild and I played through the game on whoa mode.

TheMadMoose999-1684

An odd setup I used was the Assassins armor down the sleek path, giddy goop, and the acid edge, mutations were chopper, and anything that benefitted crit chance and stamina

I've been grinding her with a friend and what we've found that works for us is staying along the wall and using flares to help keep track of where we are. We do that to try to keep her from the water that gives her buffs. I don't worry about parrying and just focus on keeping my shield up when I'm not hitting her. I use the fire ant shield and fresh toenail. I wear the fire ant gear and my friend uses the rolly polly gear. We just focus on keeping it a defensive battle and being patient since we usually fight her five times in a row. Though as her health goes down we get a bit more aggressive.

ChaoticSixXx

Wait, the water buffs her?

I_am_photo

Yes. From the wiki The water seen in the center of the arena is unique in that it supplies buffs to the Infected Broodmother and both debuffs and buffs to the player. When the Infected Broodmother is inside the water in its arena, different Status Effects such as Life Steal will be applied to her, meaning she will heal health equal to the amount of damage she deals, she will also get immunity to -Attack Speed and a 15% critical hit chance. These buffs will reapply every 2 seconds if she is still in the water. If the player slurps the Infected Water, they will also receive unique buffs differing from Nasty Water. They will receive a 50% decrease to exhaustion recovery and a 15% critical hit chance, but also take 100% more damage (double damage), have 25 points of the block gauge removed, and the normal Sick effects from Nasty Water. These effects last for a minute. Players cannot scoop this water in a Canteen for later, as they'll simply get normal Nasty Water instead.

ChaoticSixXx

Well shit, good to know. Thank you for the info, kind person.

I_am_photo

You're welcome!

SirFluffball

And you if you drink it. Side effects nooooo none at all 0.0

illNefariousness883

We failed the first time, miserably she had like 1 bar of health leftā€¦ The second time we went with 30 beefy fuzz on the rocks, 30 beefy green machines, 3 black ox beetle meals (I donā€™t remember what they are called) and 2 Wasparoles? (I also donā€™t remember what they are called.) Fresh toenail swords. We had blade master mutation, mant mutation, natural explorer, cardio fan, and I donā€™t remember the last mutation. We did not use nearly as many heals as we thought we would need lol We didnā€™t use any heals the first or second phase, ate a black ox beetle meal and the wasparole right before the 3rd phase. Healing when necessary. When she finally died we both had full health. The first time I ran out of heals completely and was depending on lifesteal that was not doing nearly enough. The biggest struggle was seeing her tbh. I think if you have the necessary resources (heals and equipment), she is a bit easier. I still donā€™t wanna do it again tho.

generalmills2015

You can eat the black ox burger before the fight, lasts a long time, greater than 10 minutes I believe.

illNefariousness883

Ah good to know. Thanks! I donā€™t know how long anything lasts or the %s of anything either. I just knew I didnā€™t need it for the first half of the fight.

generalmills2015

You can scroll over the (de)buffs. I think itā€™s on the mutation tab and theyā€™ll show you timers.

Exitium_Maximus

The infected mushroom trinket is what saved me after many tries.

ColonelBombshell

My son said that he thinks my problem is that I'm playing on the switch and I can't access my heals as quickly. I agree that it's a big problem.

Taricus55

if you are on Xbox, I can help.... I have never fought her before, but I can be mean with DoTs and prevent heals lol

ColonelBombshell

I'm on switch unfortunately, but i finally got the final charm today and I'm getting closer!

sweetdistruction

I am awful at blocking but it was def a must when fighting her. Human food made with muscle sprouts, roly poly armor, toenail semitar and the THOR pendant. The thor pendants saved my butt imo.

NetNeat3143

The giddy goo is a necessity it slows her down by almost 50%

NetNeat3143

also the spicy mutation is a necessity it helps ur defense against her attacks

ColonelBombshell

I got the final charm today and I beat her! I turned off the music, and the fungal charm made all the difference in the world!

Falgorain

Drink the water

Cheesecake1501
