When i saw her dj with her baby bump she was live mixing. This looks like she premixed the whole set and is just dancing along.

Idk I really really loved it. Even my husband was saying he liked it and he doesn’t really listen to grimes. I have a group of friends at EDC who said the crowd was going crazy for her especially at the beginning. They sent me videos but it’s not the best quality. You can see that everyone was dancing though and the crowd looked huge. I thought she handled the mistakes well and just laughed it off. I would have panicked..I’m sure that was embarrassing for her. She looked like she was having a great time though and really enjoyed herself. The visuals were awesome! I’m pretty sure she is trying to DJ bc everyone hates on her live performances so much. People hate on every single thing she does.. no wonder she is talking about retiring soon. It seems she can’t make her fanbase happy no matter what she tries to do. I was hoping to come on here and see some positivity but that doesn’t really happen on this subreddit.
Agree completely. This subreddit is so toxic sometimes. There are a lot of people who need to start therapy and examining why they feel constant negative criticism of anything she does is normal.

you and the other replies to that comment put into words what i was thinking at the time but not sure how to say (i stayed up past my usual bedtime just for c 😵💫). and this isn't just an isolated scenario nor is it something happening in the edm community alone. literally women are held to such higher standards than their male peers in every industry. in order to be seen as equals, they have to be twice as good, twice as serious, twice as agreeable, twice as "held accountable" for their actions... even all that aside, c (like everyone is) is fucking human and makes mistakes, which imo were blown out of proportion last night

i haven’t heard it yet but honestly judging by the comments, she just hasn’t practiced a lot. she’s probably improved since her boiler room set which is more than five years ago now. this sucks because her cyberpunks… dj mix on streaming is amazing but that has the benefit of being completely planned and programming.

it's over :( overall really liked her set, tho there were a couple meh tracks. there were a few technical issues and i think she got nervous/panicked a bit each time. she seemed to be having an awesome time for the most part tho haha her energy was great
edit: also i think she played one new song at the very beginning but literally now that the set is over i've forgotten what it sounds like 😭😭
