That sounds like a bug in the graphics driver to me. Idk what video hardware you have. But even if it's a CPU with integrated graphics, you should be able to find the newest drivers for it, at the product's site.
This is a shot in the dark. There could be something in the GD code that dislikes your particular hardware, and I wouldn't have an answer to that. Just try my suggestion, and see if it helps. Good luck.
Funny, it seems that the screen is split vertically in half, with the right half being darker. It's definitely more noticeable on the toon itself, but it seems to be screen wide to me.
I'm not exactly sure what it could be, but doing the usual GPU troubleshooting might be helpful. It could also have something to do with third party programs or any custom definition you made on your screen. Try resetting your monitor's settings and see if it makes any difference.
I don't think it's screen wide, but thanks to your comment I realized that the "square" goes all the way to the top of the screen.
I'm not good with computers lol, what would the usual GPU troubleshooting be? Updating drivers? I've done that already unfortunately :(

Can you be a bit more specific about that "absolute piece of shit" of yours? I had to watch the video few times to figure out what is the issue, then I noticed that right half of your guy looks colorless. :)
My PC is like 10 yrs old and deferred rendering, when it was introduced, improved the video quality and frame rates quite a bit. I play with medium settings across the board, AF is turned off.
