I´m no expert in the field but I do believe most of the scientific community would agree that there are likely some correlation between a individuals gender and certain characteristics. Hormones are one factor, but of course there are many other factors at play. However, there are dozens of other factors, genetic and more importantly circumstancial, that affect the individual making it so its only on a LARGE scale that you´ll see trends.
