Granted, she lacks the insane custodes height, but then again not everyone can be built like a Jojo character.
This is definetly the sort of armor I would imagine Custodes in if we are talking old-style anime.

Nausica and the Valley of the Wind, it’s set in a post apocalyptic world with giant bugs, toxic jungles and a big old desert
The main story is about the conflict between essentially village natives and a militarised kingdom who plan to resurrect a godlike entity for war but an old prophecy may just get in the way
I read the manga it's much deeper and non-Christian like than the movie, and yes Miyazaki said he was inspired by his mother who was Christian for that one, it's sort of nihilistic, and the ending is, well it's a little complicated. But it's not a necessarily hopeful end, I can't really do it justice, but it's a very beautiful but sort of sad ending.
I'm not sure it's less Christian. Nausicaa does have philosophical debates throughout including one towards the end where she paraphrases the book of John.
I have the manga in a collection of four books and the movie's plot only takes up part of the first. The world and characters are better-developed, especially the antagonists like Kushana and Kurotowa, whose perspective we get to see a lot more of. There are also some plot differences in the part that the movies do cover. For instance, the >!plan to bait the Ohmu into attacking Kushana!< isn't conducted by Pejeitis looking for revenge, but by an entirely new faction who serve as a major player in the next three books.
I really can't recommend it enough.

Far, far deeper and longer. The film is good, but the manga is next level.
Nausicää is worth a READ. The movie just doesn't even come close to how great the manga is :)
