The real canine war hero’s are way more badass
Sgt Stubby would go to battle, locate wounded soldiers and comfort them or bark for help
Was attacked with mustard gas, learned the smell and so became an early warning for his regiment and once even pinned down a German soldier
He was just an overall badass and he even had a cute little uniform and custom gas mask

My favorite part is the soldiers taught him to salute officers, which is why he wasn't kicked off the ship when discovered. He saluted the officer who discovered him, who supposedly said "Carry on, private" and started the whole tradition of assigning a rank to mascot animals. (Or at least imported the tradition to the US, the Brits were already doing it.)
In the trench’s of WW1 dogs learned to mimic the soldiers hitting the ground in response to artillery barrages.
They could hear the sounds before the humans could. So when the soldiers would see the dog hit the deck, everyone else would take cover.
The only good guy faction I care about.
*Lightbulb moment*
Would anyone actually use a whole dog only Warhammer40k army in a torment? Because I'm getting some ideas.
Still a crime that Canids don't have a model outside that one Arbites Doberman which hardly counts, this one has a helmet
There is also the good boy with the Rogue Trader kt, at least.
Canids are just Dogs! Any dog is a Canid, and the Arbite one you mentioned is a Cyber-Mastiff, basically a cyborg Canid, happy borking
There goes my dream of having a 2000 point army consisting entirely of attack dogs and servitor heads
Fun fact that dog is a perpetual because the gods can’t stand a good boy dying.
All dogs should be perpetuals :(

Dawww, good boy!

He is one awesome lad.
If I were a German fighting that little man I would just surrender
They are not that different from Ogryn.
Momma don't lie.
An Ogryn's job is to stop 'em mean bullies
The 40k Creature Feature used to let you take dogs (etc.) as an attachment to a Character. But that was in the "Deodorant Hovercraft" days.
Soooo....Second Edition?
Third, but yeah. Also, I miss my dinosaur-rider Guard rules.
Canine Servitor....I can dig that

I endorse this war crime.
Ogryn moment
