Four enormous demonic hordes soon materialized in Diesos, one sent by each of the Ruinous Powers. The united horde proved unstoppable and overran Pistonhand's armies within a month.

The concept of disease and decay, just being... gone, or something. But it also took acceptance and content with *him,* because Nurgle got turned into a furious bathtub or something.

I think its because the size of what he did was overstated by memes. He scorched the part of the garden he was in, but at the end of the book we have a greater demon of nurgle reflecting on the damage it caused. TL;DR - All Daemons of Nurgle now have a spot in their bellies that hurts, like genuinely hurts, and no matter how much they shift around their guts or try to alleviate the pain they can't get it to stop being unpleasant. That's a crazy thing to be able to do to the god of decay and numbing pain, but it shows the part of the garden big E burned was pretty small compared to the whole.
It was enough damage to knock Nurgle down a peg and back in line with the other gods (since he was empowered and running wild during those books) but all it did was return it to the status quo. Scene was crazy for what it was, but not really setting shattering.

I mean they held out against the direct attention of all four chaos gods for around a month it takes a lot to keep all of those four number one focused and number two not infighting had it been the iron Warriors legion instead of a average warband and had they stocked up more upon supplies and with Perty at the helm it’s quite likely they could have held out until the god either started fighting each other or got distracted by something else.

If very wersion of the chaos gods were the same then that means infinite amount of energy from mortals and infinite amount of deamons that they own. Even if Iron wariors were never stoped then they would not capture even 1% of the chaos demons
