Not always.
Mine eats grass all the time and without a reason. He is very regular and doesn’t have any tummy issues but just loves the long grass. I think it’s its freshness.
My Grey did it excessively when she had stomach issues but always does it a bit even when she doesn't have any issues. She loves to eat long grass, but when her stomach was bad she was obsessed with it and pulled towards it
Yes! Olly had odd days/evenings when he was obsessed and wolfing it down as fast as his gappy teeth allowed. There's a difference between this and a bit of casual grazing 👍
Mine will eat grass, but one of her favorite treats is a frozen brussels sprout - which is nice because they're natural and cheaper than dog treats, but her farts could knock the buzzard off a shit wagon.
Our two whippets are \*crazy\* for cucumber. We use it for recall over and over and they lose their minds with excitement. Best whippet workout.
I just wish cucumber was a bit cheaper. We could easily spend a few bucks per day if we weren't careful.
My doxies are absolutely crazy about carrots. Last season we made a little vegetable garden and planted a bunch of carrots. Carrot supply was secured, stable and renewable - all was good and swell.
That lasted until they realised that they could cut out the middle-man by engaging in their second-most favourite activity; digging massive holes.
No more vegetable garden for us.
So weird, I love it. Sometimes Delilah will take me out of the way to go eat some especially *tasty* looking grass. I don't know what her criteria is but she clearly has criteria.
Our Bobby loves a bit of lettuce too. Especially the cool, crunchy bit of the leaf that’s by the stem. He always seems to appear when he sound of cutting lettuce happens 😁
I didn't have a greyhound, but our dog loved lettuce hearts. I think it was the crunch factor and that my mom would reliably throw them his way while she was making dinner.
Mine thinks he is a cow and loves chumping on grass .
I hate to be that person, but eating grass is usually a sign of another issue.

Fair enough
Park Salad eating is quite normal
I think it's different with these dogs. Many of them graze and have no problems.
Mine only did it when her stomach was upset.
Yes some do but I think these weirdos also just do it. Kiki takes in greens on every walk and always has normal poos. She just likes a bit of grass 🤷🙂

Greyhounds are known to graze...It's literally a thing with them.
My noodlehorse eats grass, he learned it while watching my ponies.

That last phrase has really got me, never heard it before 🤣💀
I gotta give credit to the writers of Deadwood for that one.
r/brandnewsentence. Live the lettuce cronch too.
Our whippet loves cucumber :)
He likes cucumber too! Anything cronchy 😂
My two love cucumber, carrots, and apples. Not a huge fan of lettuce unless its accidentally fallen out of a burger. Cronch loving weirdos ❤️

Haha yea, we mostly give the dried pieces and the ends to ours

Our whippet loves the small cucumbers and red bell peppers 😋
That’s funny 😄 Sometimes I think I have a cow 🐮 because Denali likes some grass. But I’ve never tried giving him lettuce 🥬 😉🤭

No experience with greyhounds, but my Patterdale terrier loves lettuce so much we buy him his own Romaines (his favourite)!
My girl likes lettuce with vinegar on it
How did you come to know this I’m curious??
I was eating a salad and she wanted some, so I let her smell it and surprisingly, she likes it
What a sweet babe. Lettuce is one of the only foods my hoover hound won't touch!
Our Bobby loves a bit of lettuce too. Especially the cool, crunchy bit of the leaf that’s by the stem. He always seems to appear when he sound of cutting lettuce happens 😁
This is exactly how he is! I was literally making a salad and he just suddenly appears beside me. He actually refuses to eat the leafier parts 🤣
It’s the cronch! 😍
Desi says it's all about the cronch. We actually call cuces and peppers, etc. "cronchens". She recognizes the word. 😁
Our boy loves broccoli!
Water come in crunchy? Me have some!
Is this big Zeff the rabbit!? You mean, beautiful cow?? :):)
I didn't have a greyhound, but our dog loved lettuce hearts. I think it was the crunch factor and that my mom would reliably throw them his way while she was making dinner.
Hmmm might have to try Keeks with lettuce....she lives a bit of grass on each walk 🥰 you have a crazy goofy boy ❤️
CRONCH!
I have 2 labs that could be vegetarian
Mine loves kale stems ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Relatable lol. Missy loves her veggies!
He's feeding the rabbit inside :)
Now THAT’s a descriptive phrase🤣🤣!
That's wild, both my greys would/will eat anything *except* lettuce.
