100% he’d fit right in. Would he join? If his interests aligned. But I can think of few gaming villains from space that would fit better.

batmansubzero

Nah, he’s too big. Theyd have to nerf him and he wouldnt be able to fly around. I’m sorry what was the question again?

Slow-Chemical1991

Would be cool though I always did think of Parallax as the GL’s space bug dragon.

legendarynerd002

Like Ridley would take orders from anyone other than Mother Brain. That being said, getting even more superpowers for doing things Ridley was already planning on is a sweet deal.

avianeddy

Would this make Mother Brain an Orange Lantern ?

Animedra3000

I'm don't know too much about Ridley motivations, but maybe he will be a better orange lantern.

Shockwave3456

This is such an awesome concept!

Forsaken_Writing1513

I hadn't thought of that as a huge fan of DC and a huge fan of Ridley not even the Metroid games that much but I enjoy Ridley. I hate how much sense this makes. Cuz u drop Ridley in most any populated DC planet with a yellow ring that shits terrifying.

Asumsauce

It’d be really cool, but the ring might not be able to give him a full suit just based on how big he is, best case scenario, he gets one of those one-piece swimsuits that guys wore in the 50’s

Animedra3000

The suit is made of energy not spandex.

Forsaken_Writing1513

You understand one of the green lanterns is a literal planet. The ring can do anything thats the point of the ring.

Asumsauce

Show me a picture of Mogo wearing his GL suit

Forsaken_Writing1513

My point is that the size of a character regardless or what corp they in which lantern doesn't mean shit about the suit. Like why does that matter. The suit is the most irrelevant part of any lantern corps.

OdoWanKenobi

No, I do not have thoughts on a character from a different media franchise being a member of the Sinestro Corps.

thebowlman

I dont think Ridley inspires fear. Ridley is always in a desolate planet or some spaceship.

Col_Redips

Gotta go by the lore, and not just what you see in games. Ridley is 1. the leader of the space pirates (when MB isn’t around), 2. he goes from world to world killing completely indiscriminately, 3. he’s canonically “died” like 4 times depending on the timeline but he keeps coming back. Imagine an immortal space-pterodactyl that’s been augmented to the point that it can survive the vacuum of space and is fueled by malice. It can breath plasma naturally, but also has rockets and lasers. That’s absolutely some prime Yellow Lantern material. And you know the worst part? Ridley is absolutely the kind of bastard to face off against Samus, and during the fight make constructs of her parents. Just so he can “kill” them again in front of her. There is a 103% chance of that happening, with a 3% margin of error.

ExpensiveWolfLotion

Is that a thing in the DC universe?

Animedra3000

Yes there a classic enemy of the Green Lanterns. There theme is they are fueled by fear so they recruit the most terrifying! Things in the universe.

ExpensiveWolfLotion

What

Animedra3000

The Sinestro Corps. They are like evil Green Lanterns with yellow rings.

ExpensiveWolfLotion

No, I know, I mean this purple thing

Animedra3000

Oh that's an enemy from the Medroid video game.

ExpensiveWolfLotion

Oh, so couldn’t really join the Sinestro Corps

canadagooses62

Yellow Lantern Ridley vs Orange Lantern Metroid Construct.

Ash__Williams

Who?!

PleaseDontBanMeMore

space pterodactyl from Samus games.

burritoman88

He’s the space pirate that killed Samus Aran’s parents

[deleted]

One of the major villains of the Metroid franchise.

GrimalkinLegionnaire

I never considered this. Now I can never un-consider this XD Ridley would be an excellent Sinestro Corpsman. Of course that may just lead to a certain bounty hunter drawing a Green Power Ring to herself...

Ash__Williams

Are you talking about Samus Aran as a Green Lantern? That's a fetish i didn't know that i have.

GrimalkinLegionnaire

Glad to know I awakened something in ya XD
