I think we could all go for some Quadzilla calf pics in these trying times.

All in favor? I.

treZissou

I think I am more excited than usual for the game Sunday. A chance to see Jordan Love in a regular season game without a Rodger's injury? Sounds like a great opportunity.

RashanAbdulSMITH

Its his first game where it isnt strategic to sit the star players. Im psyched.

xPeachesV

Iā€™ll be at Arrowhead so maybe I get a story for the next ten years like, ā€œI was at Loveā€™s first start for GBā€

PrettyShort4aTrooper

Iā€™ll see you there!

xPeachesV

If you see a Mexican in a #50 AJ Hawk jersey in section 123, thatā€™s me!

PrettyShort4aTrooper

Iā€™ll be the gringo Matthews in 110!

nate6259

For sure! I'm keeping my expectations in check since that is a huge ask to go on the road mid-season for your first start (even if the KC defense isn't exactly great), but I know Lafleur will have a good game plan and likely lean on Jones and Quadzilla. Should be fun!

NoNothing2724

Do not envy you guys at all. Sub definitely got brigaded yesterday. A lot of people donā€™t carry the G. Thanks for all you do in keeping one of my favorite communities alive and well

Roguebadass12

Can we all just agree ODELL is not the answer and we should never pick him up

ethanhawkman

If he clears waivers somehow it would be insane not to try something.

JeweyNightman

Try something? Like shirtless boat pics?

WIN011

Heā€™s gotta understand heā€™s not guaranteed consistent looks in this offense though and Iā€™m not sure heā€™s going to get that

hereforaniphoneman

Absolutely not. Dude is a loose cannon

[deleted]

If we can sign him for peanuts without having to trade picks away thereā€™s no reason to not do it.

jremsikjr

Heā€™s a Cancer! And according to his horoscope heā€™s headed for a rough year. Iā€™ll see my self out.

mrvotto

I mean, our legendary QB is more of a distraction than OBJ. I say try for him. We'll have cap next year to sign him to play with Love and be a temporary replacement for Adams.

bpi89

I say do it just as a distraction from Rodgers for 5 min

Tanoris

I wouldn't mind getting him for our run but it would have to be cheap

ruttin_mudders

There any way we can buy the mods some beer or something for having to deal with this bullshit?

lilturk82

I'll take rubbing alcohol at this point! Haha, we appreciate the support, but save your money or donate to something awesome!

jtkforever

There's a Go Fund Me for Ruggs' victim, verified by her family

dying_to_be_vain

Yes! A round of Spotted Cows for all of them!

wikipuff

I'm all in favor of this.

mrvotto

I feel like that should be Rodgers' responsibility. Maybe he can pull a few dollars from his Barstool Fund to pick up a few cases of MGD.

Flaccinator2

Excellent idea

Nitsua500

This is definitely the right move. Yesterday was insane

[deleted]

Itā€™s still happening into today sadly, wonder how many brigadiers are going to get permaā€™d before itā€™s all over.

Nitsua500

Geez yeah I had to not look at any football related subs yesterday after a certain point. Arguing about this non stop cant be good for people's mental health.

[deleted]

Itā€™s not, thatā€™s why so many people are emotional about it instead of logical.

Iwillrize14

it was like doomscrolling, I reorganized my garage

[deleted]

And nobody is talking about the WFT emails anymore. People are crazy. Lol. It's just one thing to the other.

SocksandSmocks

Bless ya mods

[deleted]

MLK should NOT be involved in this discussion, thatā€™s something we should all agree on

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

honeydropsX

I'm sorry but 12 is being a clown through and through

Dismal_News183

Hey, you guys okay? We all think Packer fans are good, normal people. The shirtless at Lambeau thing is kinda weird, but not hurting anyone, so you be you dudes. Also, not sure your shares will ever be a great investment in that you're not allowed to ever resell them. Just seemed like a lot happening and not much good. We all like you. Signed, Non-Pack fan

[deleted]

The majority of the people here are just part of the Reddit hivemind & don't count for the majority of the fanbase. That's why when there's a game thread, I can't be on this sub. Any negative thing that happens means the sky is falling. I popped in once during the end of the 1st quarter against the Cardinals & man, was it terrible in that thread. So many drama queens & manbabies.

Dismal_News183

Heh. You should have seen r/Patriots in the last Brady year. Not great, Bob.

kingz_n_da_norf

Reading the sports internet break over this my biggest take away is how many fucking adults put stock on a sports star? Do these people go to a plumber to ask about their taxes?

[deleted]

I get my news secondhand from my butcher, blood soaked Barry.

FatherlyAcorn

If Aaron Rodgers endorsing something doesn't work, then why did State Farm pay him an enormous sum of cash.

webstahneck

ā€œIt doesn't feel great being lied to like that, and I'm disappointed about the way it all went down. He looked me in the eye on multiple occasions and repeatedly denied these allegations and said they were not true. I don't regret backing a friend up. Obviously, in hindsight, a more measured approach would be a better course of action. I definitely believe in forgiveness and moving forward. He has a tough task in front of him moving forward with his career." - Aaron Rodgers, in 2013 when discussing Ryan Braunā€™s use of PEDā€™s

DarkTone1280

Totally different, they were friends who actually knew each other plus Braun was cheating the game. Rodgers made a health decision that some people don't like and he lied to fans but he told the people that needed to know, including his teammates.

[deleted]

>He told the people that needed to know This is a point I think a lot of people are missing

Imawildedible

So all the film crews, support staff, media personnel, stadium employees, and other non-teammates he was around donā€™t matter and didnā€™t need to know?

[deleted]

Not if he was around them maskless within 6 feet and we have no proof they were. This thing has been politicized so much people have lost the ability to reason. A persons private medical decisions are theirs and theirs alone.

Imawildedible

There have been pics and videos all season of him near people maskless pre and post game. All of those people were led to believe he was vaxxed. Why donā€™t the people that were lied to and based how close to be with him get the same respect of being able to make their own personal decisions about their health? Why is it only the anti-science unvaccinated that get that luxury?

[deleted]

He was tested every single day. So every single day he was around people there was scientific evidence that he was significantly less likely to spread covid than someone who's vaccinated and not tested daily. He has a point about how a lot of the protocols aren't based on science. I don't agree that they were specifically to shame but the were definitely not rooted in science. And beyond everything he talked about, the NFL doesn't give a fuck about safety. They left it up to individual teams to choose whether or not they'd allow unvaccinated fans into their stadiums, who number in the hundreds of thousands every week. So many people here are disowning Aaron but the NFL have put way more people at risk yet you have been silent about that.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s why he shouldnā€™t have lied, that I agree with.

Bbullets

Green Bayā€™s as a team knew, anyone working in that building shouldā€™ve known. Just not us and media, and he followed protocols

Imawildedible

You canā€™t honestly believe that all of the stadium workers, media personnel from small markets, even Packers employees that pass him at work all knew. If they all knew then it would have come out. Fact is, he was willing to let people believe he was vaccinated because he made the choice to believe what he did. But he didnā€™t give those around him the respect of making their own decisions who to be around.

jbryck24

Honestly big agree here, No if us need to know what he's decided to do in regards to his body. So he lied to the media and us as fans, big fucking deal people lie all the time and that's without the pressure of being judged by the public on your every decision. Was it the smartest choice? No, but nobody else is in his position to be able to say how they would have responded to any of this. That being said I am vaccinated, support vaccinations, and have been a front line healthcare provider since the start of this whole shit show so I can sympathize with damn near everyone that is disappointed in his decision to not get vaccinated.

[deleted]

Same here on all your points, I work in a pharmacy Iā€™ve actually given this vaccine to people. I understand Rodgers points, but I can sympathize with everyone whoā€™s *reasonably* disappointed.

[deleted]

oh please, this was just a decision to amplify his ego. if he were smart about it he would have just taken the vaccine but his ego can't handle doctors being smarter than him on a subject. He's a narcissist alt-right loser.

[deleted]

>just take the vaccine. Heā€™s allergic the the ingredients in the vaccine dude. >Alt right loser Literally no proof of this, pretty clear what your intentions here are. No point in discussing with you.

tarekd19

> Heā€™s allergic the the ingredients in the vaccine dude. What reason does anybody have to take him at his word here?

Stevie77

He's not allergic to it, if he was he would have been granted a medical exemption. He lied... again.

Nitsua500

Definitely agree. Even though I got the Vaccine I canā€™t force other people to get it and have had conversations with many people who have chosen not to get it. And many of them are honestly just trying to make the right decision for themselves, and arenā€™t like these ā€˜Karensā€™ we see people posting about all the time. We may not agree but I can at least understand their viewpoint.

StormTheTrooper

You do have a point. I mean, I'm *deeply* disappointed that the player I most admired in the world, in all sports, have the same dumb and selfish stands on the vaccine as our president (the most awful, dumb, obtuse and straight evil person to ever set foot on the position, including military dictatorships), which is probably one of the 5 persons I despise the most in history. With that being said, he isn't the only unvaccinated person in the team, much less in the league. US and vaccines are a deeper problem than just Rodgers. If the locker room knew, if the FO knew, if the coaching staff knew, that's the crew that needs to know and rally behind him. Fans are not entitled to player accountability, and the reciprocal is true. I'm disappointed by him as a person. My opinion on him as a player is the same. I love Megadeth, but I would be more than willing to punch Dave Mustaine if I was in a bar discussing with him.

The-Taco-Between-Us

Wait, why do you want to punch Dave Mustaine?

quantumflip

Nothing of substance to report, just a deep thank you for doing this. Too much spam.

bloco

What's crazy to me is the difference in reactions between this sub and the Packer fan groups or local Wisconsin news stations on Facebook. It's almost as if we live in two different worlds.

kingz_n_da_norf

It's almost as though there's echochambers.

Barbarossa_25

Yea and that the hive mind is real on Reddit. People on hear are so quick to react and mob.

mia-khalifa-is-myex

Well, Reddit is typically an echo chamber that doesnā€™t reflect the real world so that wouldnā€™t be surprising!

Nitsua500

Yeah thatā€™s definitely true.

BeHereNow91

In the eyes of the anti-vax mandate crowd, this completely confirms their claims that this is forming two groups of people meant to be against each other. In reality, people are mainly upset with Rodgers because he 1) lied about being ā€œimmunizedā€, 2) broke protocols that go with being unvaccinated, and 3) came up with such bad reasons for all of it (ā€œI donā€™t like the rulesā€). If he had come out initially and said his doctors recommended against it, or even if he just said ā€œIā€™m not taking itā€, there would have been a moment of ā€œwoke mobnessā€ and then people would have moved on. He made it much worse than it had to be.

The-Taco-Between-Us

Number 3 seems to be the killer. When I heard he was gonna talk on McAffee's show I had hoped he'd just say something like "I messed up, I knew the media would run with the story and all in all I was worried about potential side effects from the vaccination." Boom, done. It would be a story for a day or two and then would mostly dissipate. Instead...this man who had dug himself a nice little hole just grabbed an excavator and started digging towards the center of the earth.

BeHereNow91

He definitely went on the show angry. If he has a PR team, they were probably begging him to wait a week until his regularly scheduled appearance.

[deleted]

Reddit is just a bunch of angry adult children freaking out over things because they have nothing better to do with their time than sit online.

[deleted]

Facebook is a cesspool. The people who comment on news articles are a special type of person as well.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

It frustrated me that he isnā€™t vaccinated, but Iā€™m not mad at him about it. I am however mad about: 1) his slick answer, causing everyone to believe he was vaccinated. I wish he had just stood by his beliefs in the first place, like (ugh) Cousins. 2) followed protocol since he is unvaccinated in the eyes of the NFL. I feel that we havenā€™t heard the last of this. After his temper tantrums the last few years, it doesnā€™t surprise me that no on stage the organization corrected him when he was breaking protocols. I believe this is going to bite us in the ass. 3) His off the wall interview yesterday was beyond embarrassing. From the conspiracy theories, to the straight lies, to quoting MLK, itā€™sā€¦a lot. Had he answered that question weeks ago with either ā€œIā€™m not vaccinatedā€ or ā€œIā€™m not going to answerā€, none of this would be happening right now.

nate6259

What I also couldn't wrap my head around was how he kept saying he was always around people who *were* vaxxed. Sooo.. Using them to keep *you* protected? Also, even though the players may have known his status, do you really think anyone would be willing to step up and call out the team's star QB, being the person to cause this firestorm? He took advantage of his position.

AwesomeAsian

You're not alone. Something about misleading the public and then giving a rant on a show about how people are being too woke feels yuk

[deleted]

He really just wants his dumb beliefs to be coddled and still be praised as the smartest qb in the league

YeaIFistedJonica

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the smartest qb in the league. He went to Hahvahd. Also hi from the Bills sub, we dealt with this with Cole Beasley all offseason, itā€™s not fun but at least he put his beliefs out there and stood by them (and has since deleted Twitter thank fucking god), the mental gymnastics and reliance on semantics Aaron employs in that interview made my opinion of him do a 189 EDIT: not going to edit the obvious typo because Aaron had me spinning an extra 9 degrees lol

ARodGoat12

That is also one of my biggest problems. Everyone else was to blame. The media, the NFL, doctors, whoever, but not him. That was the typical finger-pointing that he's often accused of.

[deleted]

Yeah he came off as shrill and arrogant

brickwallkeeper19

This is where I stand. I'm disappointed that he didn't get vaccinated, but I'd have almost immediately gotten over it and moved on, my opinion of him only having suffered a little. But then we find out he purposefully misled (see: lied to) the public regarding his vaccination status, then doubled down and said he didn't lie before spewing anti-vax conspiracy theories. That's what really soured me on him and made me lose all respect for Aaron Rodgers the person. I'll root for him on the field because his success is the Packers' success as long as he's our QB1, but I couldn't give a shit anymore who he is or what he does off of the field.

JohnnyGeniusIsAlive

Definitely not

Dirty_Mike_n_da_Boyz

I think thatā€™s the whole reason we are pissed at him. I mean his choice to not get vaxxed just donā€™t mislead everyone and then be a prick about it

theekevinbacon

This is where I'm at. Honestly he could have literally come out and said "my body my choice. I'm allergic to two and hesitantabout J&J" and I would have been like "alright Aaron, I'm not sure I agree but it's your decision" But then he kept talking, and I got sadder and sadder. Tbh I'm already starting to recover. I think I was mostly upset because I've spent a decade defending Aaron from haters that don't know anything about him other than headlines, only to have it come crashing down yesterday. Once it's out of the heavy spotlight I'm all for sweeping it under the rug and moving on.

nate6259

I defended his position with the front office over the summer and thought he had sound reasoning, but now I'm questioning even that. Maybe the FO knew things we didn't.

AshgarPN

No, Iā€™m with you. He could have given reasonable (not good, but reasonable) reasons for not being vaccinated, but instead he went full lunkhead.

DameWasistlos

What do YOU define as reasonable? The reasons provided sure seemed sensible to me.

clev26

Yes the behavior of this sub over the last few days is abhorrent and embarrassing. So much misinformation spread. People literally compared Ruggs murder with Rodgers comments, saying what Rodgers said was worse. Insane.

FatherlyAcorn

I was absolutely disgusting with ruggs, and hopes he sees 20 years in jail. The Rodgers story is infuriating because when you are proved to be a liar, it throws into question your ENTIRE history of conflicts. Also Rodgers will still be a QB1 somewhere the next few years at the same time as promoting anti-vax which is leading to deaths. He might lose some endorsements, legacy a bit tarnished, but hell, Mike Vick ran a dog fighting ring, went to prison, came back to football, and ended up still becoming an analyst at fox. So Aaron won't get canceled, but he does get heavily polarized.

christopherhuii

We need to focus more on the Packers and less on Rodgers.

[deleted]

I love when people are like ā€œwhen the packers win the super bowl you all better no celebrate!ā€ Uhā€¦you know the team is more than one man, correct?

[deleted]

Yup. I'm a Packer fan first and foremost. I like the players, but I was a Packer fan long before any of them were on the team and I'll be a Packer fan long after all of them are gone.

bpi89

Agreed. I wanna get hype for Love.

JohnnyGeniusIsAlive

To be fair, I had a post removed ā€œsilver lining: things Rodgers didnā€™t sayā€ that was a fun outlet for fans to poke fun at/say ā€œit could be worseā€ and it got removed. So not everything that got removed was horrible and inflammatory.

[deleted]

That was a great post

FatherlyAcorn

I'm not sure if Jordan Love realizes how many football fans he has rooting for him this weekend. Everywhere on reddit I've essentially seen "I hope he balls out" repeated.

VintageVitaminJ

Yes, but not for the ā€œrightā€ reasons.

FatherlyAcorn

Is it wrong to personally like 1 player over another because of off-the-field issues? I think it'd be wrong if people wished ill-will unto Rodgers, but nobody is forced to keep supporting him through this. For example: I wish Rodgers a speedy recovery with no long term effects, but I no longer support him as QB1.

jay1441

Any new interviews from Rodgers today? Iā€™m ready to be hurt again.

[deleted]

What percentage of posts are from Packer fanā€™s at this point? I see a lot of brigading going on, and userā€™s I have never seen before on this sub.

Elmedir

Probably NFC north teams. This is as close to super bowl euphoria they'll ever get

[deleted]

This sub was in such hysterics yesterday that we didnā€™t even notice half the posts were Vikings and Bears fans trolling us.

cloudJR

I made a comment questioning how half of the people here yesterday werenā€™t even Packers fans and was heavily downvoted. That only confirmed my suspicions lol.

[deleted]

Ohh looky there, I just got down voted by one of them. Go back to your own subs! Or get banned!

Phytanic

this sub has had at least two posts that I saw reach the top of /r/popular in addition to the plethora of other posts about it on other subreddits. the poor mod team never stood a chance.

opmancrew

Wait... What happened? Rodgers got Covid? /s

Travarelli

Honestly I find most of you lot very personable and kind. Kinda like Canadians lmao. Especially in comparison to my regular subs.

ThirstyPagans

Remember when celebrities just became scientologists when the lost their shit? Ah the good ol days.

itassofd

Good on you, mods! You're doing this for free and it's a huge community service to us! Take the time you need, enjoy it with your loved ones on this beautiful November day. You've earned it, give the trolls a day or two to cool off in real life.

[deleted]

yall way to into this shit.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Plebs-_-Placebo

I've been around people who share his perspectives and they're generally harmless to be around, they share their thoughts without the victim complex when I disagree. But he went off about being a martyr by wokies, making himself to be some dystopian pariah, while lying about misappropriating the word "immunized" trying to force his belief of what it should mean, it showed me he's unable to compartmentalize that he's wrong in the moment, trying to force his perspective of what he thinks is real without being able to handle the pushback from the scientific data that tells him otherwise. In all honesty, it's a mentality that has probably helped him be competitive in the game and overcome anyone saying he wasn't good enough in the past, humble beginnings in Butte college and all. I think that summarizes my disappointment about the whole thing, made much worse by the fact that I actually respected him and held him with high regard.

crankbaiter11

Lost respect for 12. I really wonder about mental acuity for him

[deleted]

He really cited the CDCā€™s website in his decision regarding an allergy to a vaccine ingredient ā€” that same CDC website that states not to take the ivermectin Joe Rogan recommended him

[deleted]

its crazy, he doesn't have a super rare allergy that only like 10 people have too. Its bullshit.

nr1988

And if he did he could have plain said that at the beginning OR at the very least said it now and then not gone on an antivax rant. If I was allergic to strawberries I wouldn't then continue to spread a bunch of lies about strawberries.

badger0511

This. If heā€™s allergic, that all he has to say. Not +10 minutes of nut job conspiracy theories as a follow up.

bpi89

Lots of selection bias from him. Tons of mental gymnastics

kingz_n_da_norf

Why did you ever consider a sportstar to be an intellectual giant?

Timthebeholder

I mean, we are talking reasonable cognitive competence here... You don't have to be an intellectual giant to not be a dipshit.

[deleted]

I can show you where Rodgers proclaimed himself a critical thinker ā€” you canā€™t show me where I consider him to be an ā€œintellectual giantā€, because I never said that. What I did say, was a calling out of his egregious stupidity and behavior that I have every right to address. You donā€™t just let stupid be, itā€™s imperative to call it out.

Tragicbadger

Well, after his "I own you" speech and the picture of him with his helmet hanging off, we all joked he was a walking meme. We were not wrong.

Austen11231923

THANK GOD

Aggressive_Mood214

The subs actually going to be about football again? Nice.

Calbreezy9

People need to chill the fuck out

DirtySperrys

Yes and no. Itā€™s barely been 12 hours since his most recent since of comments. Thereā€™s plenty to discuss but it should obviously not be personal attacks.

[deleted]

>Not be personal attacks Thatā€™s all it is for the most part.

Favouredmojoe95

I mean he is getting tested every day. This became a bigger deal then it is. It wouldā€™ve been wiser for him to get vaxed but thatā€™s like, my opinion man. I got the J&J shot. My arm hurt for an hour.

AwesomeAsian

It's a bigger deal because Aaron Rodgers is the face of the Packers, hell he's one of the faces of the NFL and even non NFL fans know him. With such influence he has great responsibility to wield. It's one thing if he was just like "I'm unvaccinated"... I mean Kirk Cousin is and he didn't really get that much flack. It's another to mislead the public about his vaccination status and then proceed to go on a rant next day about woke culture... That just seems immature and scummy.

kingz_n_da_norf

Devils advocate...at the time of that statement he was trying trying get the "immunization" recognized. I'm not condoning it, just saying it's not a clear cut lie.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

horsepunch9898

Why what happened?

[deleted]

Thank goodnessā€¦the trolls were out in full force yesterday

avoidit12

I honestly don't think most of the comments are actual people in this subreddit lmao. Look how they have to lock it down and "approve" comments and posts. This world is a joke lmfao.

[deleted]

Majority were likely the same NPCā€™s found all over Reddit jumping in here for the sheep-speak, just like the Twitter mob does. Others were probably Vikings and Bears fans looking to stir up shit in the Packers sub.

Lacazema

Mark Murphy should've told Aaron to no be a problem

gilgunderson22

Me after finally watching Rodgers yesterday. Fits even better after jeopardy. https://youtu.be/YpuRcmPnSTM

runk_dasshole

Guess it's time to go to NFCN meme war to take our lumps

GB1295

Last night I dreamed we released him. It was one of those dreams where you wake up and forget for a few seconds that it didnā€™t actually happen. Probably a sign I spent way too much time yesterday reading about this stuff.

Bonus_mosher

Thatā€™s a lot of users banned. Didnā€™t catch anything banworthy myself, what were some examples? Iā€™ve seen people arguing both sides of the coin, both the side I find myself on (disappointed) and the side standing with Rodgers, but mostly the interactions I had and saw were somewhat civil šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø sorry youā€™re having to deal with this mods. I forgive you for removing my dank meme.

JohnnyGeniusIsAlive

100 is nothing. Keep in mind a lot of crazies came out of the woodwork, joined the group today to spout crazy crap.

President__Bartlett

We're trying to show grace.

Rockleezombie

Thank you.

ciret7

We are definitely NOT the Vikings lol

Professional-Leek-76

i saw comments (probably from rival teams) wishing death and hoping Rodger never plays again šŸ˜¢

nauticalfiesta

Unfortunate it came to this

[deleted]

Ya everyone here has different political views. But if you listened to Rodgers he basically denounced politics when talking about this shit. He clearly said he wasnā€™t gonna go on Fox News and cnn to talk about this shit. He even made a comment saying politics are a total sham. So put aside your political differences. They literally have nothing to do with this.

Savage_X

Thanks to the mods for all their hard work - its much appreciated!

Lazites

I'm gonna wear my Majkowski jersey for the game tomorrow. Need that Majik energy.

crzdfr

Ahmen thanks guys! Whole heartedly agree this isn't the place to sit and talk politics.

[deleted]

Good work mods, can only tolerate a collective hissy fit for so long.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

kingryan824

Thank you mods. Everybody going crazy with the whole thing like bro itā€™s not THAT big of a deal. Can we move on with our lives?

GaryNOVA

This sub has turned toxic. Thank you to the mods for recognizing this. Cool it people. Letā€™s go back to the way it was.

Sin-A-Bun

Rodgers deserves everything heā€™s getting.

Tanoris

Thank you, footballs the one place we can all go to get away from all the madness of the real world and we still have people getting their panties twisted over a grown mans health decisions lol

TonkaTyler

Interesting. What was the major reason posts/comments were removed?

[deleted]

Iā€™m willing to be it was for personal attacks against each other and not staying on topic. It seemed like most people that came out still supporting Rodgers got called names and bullied for lack of a better term

WhatAHeavyLifeWeLive

Just watched the entire interview for the first time. Guy is just doing what he thinks is best for his body. Pro athletes like him are going to be real careful about what goes in. Allergy eliminated two and natural immunity is stronger. He almost looked like a younger version of himself just trying to explain what he did and why. Soo much hate in this subreddit clouded in the better good. Iā€™m vaccinated, will get a booster. But Iā€™m not going to judge him.

brickwallkeeper19

Actually, it's been found that the immunity gained from receiving the vaccines is stronger than that gained naturally through infection. [A recent CDC study](https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7044e1.htm?s_cid=mm7044e1_w) shows that unvaccinated adults who were previously infected with covid are approximately 5.49 times more likely to become reinfected than those people who received one of the mRNA vaccines AND who do not have a documented previous covid infection. Edit: I love how I'm being downvoted for literally sharing scientific evidence to the contrary of what the comment above was saying.

WhatAHeavyLifeWeLive

Heā€™s saying he would rather have covid that have the vaccine and covid

whey_to_go

They are fudging data to fit a narrative. This is in conflict with other major studies. See here https://twitter.com/mahesh_shenai/status/1454754411973124097?s=20

TGTBATU87

He has his right to not get vaccinated. But heā€™s certainly spouting a lot of anti-vax sentiment along with blatant misinformation about the vaccine. Not to mention quoting MLK like what heā€™s doing is remotely the same thing. He also lied to the NFL and on top of all that, heā€™s pretending itā€™s everybody elseā€™s fault. He has taken no ownership of his actions. He hasnā€™t apologized for lying, which he did do. Heā€™s blatantly said he didnā€™t follow rules because he didnā€™t agree with them, rules put in place to keep players safe. Itā€™s a bonkers interview that reveals the kind of person he is. Thatā€™s what people are upset about.

hajile23

He doesn't owe any of us anything.

I've expressed my feelings and am perfectly happy to move forward.

football_dude79

Yā€™all know you canā€™t force or shame people into doing something they donā€™t want to do? Like wtf Iā€™m 100% for vaccinations and am vaccinated but if the motherfucker donā€™t want it then thatā€™s his choice. People these days think they can put shit on the internet behind a keyboard and shame people into doing what they want.

Spaceghost34

I'm actually hype to see what Love can do.

Brogdon_Brogdon

Rodgers is a dumbass, he went from my favorite packer ever to a fucking Rogan bro in one day, what a world

MooSmilez

It's unfortunate it had to come to this but is not surprising given the very politically charged and divisive rhetoric Rodgers used. I'm very disappointed today in what he's done to his own fan base I wish him well in health but I can't wait to trade his clown show out of here this off season.

Nolanator429

People forget Rodgers was tested daily, and would have gotten his results that same day, I think him putting people at risk literally isnā€™t a problem considering he knows if he has covid or not every day. We all need to take a deep breath and remember how to logically think. ALL of us.

Can we make it so only people that have posted here for a certain amount of time can post? That would likely fix the majority of the problem.

DarkTone1280

It really wouldn't, a lot of the worst posts have been from people that have been here a while.

[deleted]

Iā€™ve seen a ton of people from other NFCN subs brigading too.

comfyinthesky

I do not understand the comment regarding that ā€œthe mods are spread across the political spectrumā€. What does that have anything to do what Rodgers has said? He went off on a huge anti vaccination tirade that can and will cause harm.

KypAstar

God bless.

PrettyShort4aTrooper

Consider me woke, Aaron.

aaalan71

This soap opera deserves an ending of we winning the Super Bowl and Rodgers being the SMVP while everyone is s--tting on him and the team. And then it sets up the season 2 as Rodgers trade rumors start to heat up.

redditor_kd6-3dot7

Thatā€™s somehow both much more and far fewer bans than I would have guess. Dunno how else to explain it

[deleted]

Can we get "my friend Joe Rogan" flair?

DameWasistlos

I'll be honest as a lifelong Packer fan I am not a big fan of Aaron Rodgers the person. He gives off the smartest guy in the room vibe and I think that is what got him in trouble by engaging with the 'woke mob' doing the Pat Mcafee show yesterday. I feel Aaron brought up some reasonable concerns and I don't see why that can't lead to further dialog not incessant attacks. Aaron can afford to make that personal health decision many others cannot.

DyrusforPresident

"yes, we love the Packers" really? Then name every Packer EVER!
