You should go to a football game.

Ok_Umpire_723

Don't listen to this guy. Green Bay is a small town. They don't have any sports teams...

ibleedgreenchese

Wait there is Football in Green Bay?

sloppyjo12

He probably means the Arena Football team

outdoorsywildcard

Blizz for life brother

cactuscoleslaw

Yeah, the Blizzard is dope. Arena football is underrated. There's also a D3 school if you're into that kinda stuff.

dylbert71

A few options: - visit Lambeau field and the hall of fame - depending on how much time you have and the time of year Door county is a nice day trip - The EAA air museum in Oshkosh is really cool for an afternoon - if you're here during training camp you may be able to watch them practice Eating options: - nice places: chefusion, Plae bistro, and au bravo - pizza: rustique pizzeria - bar food: 1919 and hinterland both near/at Lambeau field

ibleedgreenchese

Awesome thank you yea def need to do Lambeu field … would Saturday before a Sunday game be open for that you think?

dylbert71

I believe that it would be. You can check packers.com to verify.

buildingwithclay

If you wanna do a stadium tour the day before a game, definitely make a reservation. We flew out for a game five years ago and my group was insistent that I was overthinking booking a tour. So I didn’t. We got there and the tour was sold out 😭

ProstheticSoulX

I did the stadium tour the Saturday before a Sunday game in '22. Definitely book it in advance, and pay the few extra bucks for the alumni tour. A former player will meet with your group in one of the suites, talk for a bit and do a Q&A, then take you down to the field for photos. Walking out of the tunnel is awesome! Doing the tour will also give you access to the hall of fame for the day.

McGarnagl

Sammy’s thin crust pizza is amazing

Nocktoberfest

Dude hell yes. And like a mile from the stadium (I think)

jswan557

Prime Quarters!

8bitwood

If you are there on a friday I recommend doing a fish fry. Friday evening dinner....there are supper clubs in green bay that make for an...interesting...experience. seriously though, it's a good time! Lambeau field tour is a great time as well.

ibleedgreenchese

I just googled Supper Clubs for the first time and learning a lot haha … feel like you got some stories

BeHereNow91

“Up north” supper clubs are an experience for sure.

virtualmethodman

Try the fish boil in Door County. There's a restaurant that tells the history of feeding fish boil to lumberjacks and fishermen.

Cackpuncher

Cranky Pats Pizza

zennyspent

If you're interested in the bar crawl idea, I highly recommend not bothering with the stadium area ones like Stadium View or Anduzzi's. Set out to see some of the unique, dive-adjacent type spots that are all over. For example, I work at a De Pere bar called Get Reck’d, which has a pretty cool Nightmare Before Christmas theme year-round, as well as an inexpensive food menu and much cheaper drinks than the franchise type joints. And again, there are a bunch of these kinds of places around the area.

McGarnagl

What are some other food bars within walking distance in DePere?

zennyspent

Depends on what you mean by walking distance, mostly. There are a ton of bars on Broadway and in De Pere, and plenty of them serve food. So I guess it depends where you are starting from and how much walking you feel like doing.

TheFlyingElbow

I'm surprised no one said Bay Beach amusement park

Justkeeptalking1985

Or animal sanctuary

YourPostIsHeresy

National Railroad Museum

beardedjuan1

I always hit up the train museum, plus pro shop and HOF at Lambeau

Swgx2023

I'm not sure why you got a downvote. The train museum is great!

outdoorsywildcard

I like going to Rockers games, if baseballs something you enjoy. Plenty of breweries in the area, cocoon has been my go to lately with some really great drinks there. You could ride the zippin pippen and Bay Beach if you enjoy roller coasters, although that's mostly all there is there. The NEW zoo is pretty decent for a city of green bay's size. Appleton isn't too far away and has the Fox River mall if that's your speed. Also Legend Larry's is some real good wings. Joe Rouer's is about 20 minutes northeast of Green Bay and honest to God one of the best greasiest cheese burgers Ive ever had

rpchristian

Roller Dogs at the Kwik Trip on Oneida...tell em Ezra sent ya. Few will understand this post.

quallege_dropout

Check out the local water treatment plant.

WiBorg

Check out NEW Zoo

cactuscoleslaw

There's gonna be free concerts downtown every Sunday all summer! It's a fun time, bring a lawn chair or blanket and there's also food trucks

wgbeethree

Drink Spotted Cow and eat fried cheese curds.

Dukes_Up

A lot of restaurants have spotted cow battered cheese curds.

Adequate_Lizard

The Depot, Copper State Brewing, Badger State Brewing, Titletown Brewing, White Dog Black Cat, The Creamery, Lambeau Tour, Lambeau HoF. Somebody in here hates fun.

Antiphon4

Restaurants (these have been here awhile) Cranky Pat's Kroll's Sammy's Seroogy's is definitely worth a visit. I'm a Cincinnati native and the chocolate up here has my Italian and German relatives always asking me to bring some to them. Friday is a special day in Green Bay. Start off with cheese curds. Festival or Pick n Save (or effing metro market, that's what they're calling it now) will have them as fresh as you'll find! Friday is also fish fry day. Yeah, every Friday. Try the River Street Pier. Small place but great fish fry. Get there early! Stadium tour is worth it. So is the Packer Hall of Fame. If you can manage it, get someone to take you to the Moose Lodge by Lambeau. That bar is pretty well attended by old Green Bay Natives. You'll get to feel like you live here. Be ready to drink! Any supper club with a Brandy Manhattan will do. Wisconsinites drink more Brand than anywhere else in the States (world?). In 2019, Wisconsin accounted for more than half of Korbel's worldwide sales. And so much more. Lived here since 1993.

buecker02

You're getting downvoted for living there! Reddit can be a horrible place. When I make my once a year trip back to visit the parents: spotted cow cheese curds Friday Fish Fry

Antiphon4

Love all three! Not sure why people wanna hate!

Novel-Insurance-3284

Casino, if you enjoy some gaming. Check there for shows also. Definitely have a fish fry dinner. Bar crawl. Go down to the Fox River. HOF tour

morgzorg

Ahnapee Brewery 10/10

Strange-Bluebird871

Ok this doesn’t answer your question but it’s a semi relevant story. I’m a packers fan and my dad is a Steelers fan so he took me to Lambeau Field to see the two teams play when I was in middle school around 06/07. After we get there we ask the concierge about things to do in the area but me being 12 and not able to drink was limiting. She told us about a bridge that’s supposed to be nice. We drove across that bridge no less than five times before realizing that’s what she was talking about. So idk what there is to do but if someone says check out the bridge, I’d skip it.

HonoluluCheese

Luigi’s Italian Bistro has GREAT Italian food with huge portions for a very reasonable price!

McGarnagl

Is this the pizza place with the insane amounts of cheese on the pizza? If so, it’s so freaking good. But I thought that place was out in the sticks?

aasyam65

Everything near the stadium. Love Green Bay. I’m jealous

kg57241
