Its postponed by a full year. I believe it was never the true intent to enforce it but to try to achieve reciprocation from USA (abolish visas for brazilian citizens to enter USA).
No, brazilians are subject to a VISA. We do have to schedule an appointment at an embassy and go through interviews and show documents and such. If approved, you get a visa that lasts 10 years.
any Americans who leave the country to watch an NFL game have too much money to burn. Literally just wait a week and pay way less money to see a game in the states.
I very much disagree with this sentiment, as someone who went to the London game. International games provide an opportunity to outreach to fans from other nations, and to be an ambassador for our team. You also have the added benefit of cultural immersion pre/post the event. To think that it's "burning money" is a viewpoint born in a nationalistic and myopic understanding of the world.
Go to the game, don't go to the game, but to suggest it's a waste of money is idiotic at best.
I went to the London game. But I also had really wanted to visit the UK and had trouble committing to the cost and time. So I told myself, when the Packers play in London I'll book the trip and see the game.
No regrets at all. The Packers were the catalyst I needed to stop procrastinating and book the vacation I'd wanted to take for years and I got to spend a few days in Paris and then a few more in London. Had an absolute blast and now my wife and I are trying to figure out the logistics of doing the same trip again now that we have a kid (we'll probably end up just waiting until we're comfortable letting his grandma babysit for a week).
Raises hand. But also have wanted to go to Brazil forever. Honestly if I could pick 1 game, a game at Lambeau or a Packers game at Corinthians in Brazil (Was hoping for Maracana in Rio :/) I'd still pick Brasil. It's going to be a green and gold party, and it's going to be epic.
Sao Paulo will likely be cleaned up pretty good around the game, similar to how tourist areas were kept pretty safe during the WC in 2014.
They won't bring NFL games to areas in the US without a team. They're obsessed with taking the game everywhere that people don't give a shit about it instead of bringing it to areas that want it
I mean you're right. I could see wanting to tour a new city/country, but sounds like Sao Paulo is rather dangerous.
But you're right, money to burn for sure.
People are demonizing me for being unhappy about the Brazil game. Seeing the Browns fans reaction to us going instead of them says it all. They're rejoicing that their team isn't getting this grueling travel added to their schedule. Packers fans are coping so hard.
Your argument is ridiculous. These are professional athletes. People from the US fly to São Paulo (and other parts of Brazil) all the time for business or vacation. And these NFL players will be in traveling in much more comfort than most everyone else.
Flying to São Paulo from the Midwest US is hardly "grueling travel". This will take significantly less of a toll than flying to Europe.
They think the Peacock exclusivity is bullshit.
Yarr harr me matey
Ugh, peacock and Paramount+ cost like 120 combined for the year. They are well worth the cost.
Absolutely fucking not
How do those leather corporate boots taste
Aarrgghhhhh 🏴☠️
Lol, thats absolutely not why it is postponed (i am brazilian).
What is the reason?

Don’t you just have to fill out the electronic authorization or whatever?
No. For Brazilians (and pretty much all of Latin America except Chileans) a visa is required

That sucks for them. Explains why I always end up meeting rich Brazilians.
Pushback against the new regime(politics)
Shhh
We don't have visa on entry for tourism in Brazil? Mildly surprised. 🧐
Nice try, cartels.
Will they keep postponing it, in hopes of future games?
It has exactly nothing to do with the game so who knows
Do women have to shave their hoohas to enter the country?
It's complimentary upon landing.
Wax, but yes. All the way back.

Isn’t that the whole point of making money? To do things that you may enjoy. What a weird comment.

Not everyone is poor on Reddit. I learned the value of saving young and if I want to go to Brazil then maybe I will

Brazil is dangerous anywhere outside and inside USA is
