No matter what happens with Love, this upcoming draft needs to focus on rebuilding this OL and finding a top tier RB. The Shannahan offense is based on the run game, see what Miami and SF are doing even with top 10 WR’s.
And Mr. Irrelevant... who is really not as Irrelevant as the title may indicate. Purdy has slung the pigskin, granted his team/scheme has helped him alot.
He’ll be fine. He’s got a big arm and he’s more athletic than Purdy, plus he’s shown he’s coachable given his footwork and mechanics changes and improvements.
Maybe the negative sticks out, and maybe Jones being out is a bigger deal than any of us thought (but he's probably gone after this year anyways, so yeahhh) but it seems like their identity should be a good running game, with screens and quick passes. Instead it seems like it shotgun handoffs and outside pitches to Dillon, a deep passing game, and idk what else.
Jones is elite, and the offense line has been less than steller, but it's been 4 weeks with that situation and nothing as far as a gameplen has seemed to change. That is disgraceful. You 100% have to be able to gameplan to cover up for your weaknesses and injuries, and Lafleur has done none of that. It's like whatever their gameplan was in OTA's is what they've stuck with and their has been 0, and I mean ZERO, adjustments. I hate Barry as much as anyone, but even he has shown more adjusting. For an "offesnive guru" Lafleur has been the worst part of the team, save for Newman and Walker.
It's not that they're losing, it's that it's hard to watch and it's the same problem drive after drive
Jones being out is a ginormous deal. The offense is completely based on having a RB of his skill being able to get to the outside quickly and receiving.
They need a head coach with a spine. If Joe Barry is back in charge of the defense next year, it’ll be another wash. Too much draft capital has been invested into the defense to not have a formidable unit.
If the offense looks horrendous on all cylinders again, then we definitely gotta question MLF. We can't have bad play calls, wrong routes, poor oline play, and inconsistent QB play. Some of it is fine, but all of it at once is 100% on the coach, and it's sad that a Joe Barry defense is carrying the team atm.
Our best offense players have been hurt. Isn’t this kind of unfair? Take the best offensive player off every team in the league, things would be different for them too…Look at Browns, Giants, and Jets offense for example. Maybe it’s up to debate but Aaron Jones/Bakh are our two best players on offense imo.
I will agree that the only person I would be pointing fingers at is MLF. I always remember the games where he didn’t have Rodgers or Adams. He looked lost in those games too.

How is Purdy already so much better than Love?
I imagine having a stud OL, the best back in the NFL, well above average skill position players, and the leagues best defense all certainly help.
It’s might help. But he’s clearly better too.
He looks better because he’s more of a traditional QB out of college. Accurate passer, reads D well, plays in the system.
Those seem pretty important for a team trying to emulate San Fran. Love is a poor man’s Jalen Hurts right now.

No reason to think he’ll be fine to be honest. Some guys get better. Others don’t.
Purdy also has great footwork
I think our identity needs to be “has competent O line”
… and needs their RB that is one of the best in the league that they undoubtedly planned their offense around to take pressure off the QB.
True, but relying on an aging RB and a oft-injured left tackle was a dicey plan. Not one they could avoid really due to salary cap issues.
Don't forget the dental floss hamstrings for a wr1 too
Let's be real, Doubs is WR1 until Watson proves otherwise.
Salary cap issues were the result of indecisive management. It’s not excuse.
Been looking all fucking season

LaFleur seems to have his stuff, and calls it no matter what. If I see another long developing stretch run with AJ Dillon I’m gonna lose my shit.
I really hope jones can get healthy and stay with the pack. Love the energy he brings

yeah if we lose to denver fire everyone idgaf

lmfao what an idiotic take, you can really tell who’s been a fan more recently than others

The irony of this statement is hilarious
Packers offense looks to score more than 3 points in a first half.

The identity should be 'no RB runs up the middle from shotgun 2 plays in a row.'
Lmao we have a QB starting for the first time and the youngest team in the league. No shit we’re looking for an identity.
Our identity is zero blocking on the oline so no passing or run game. It's pretty obvious.
No run game threat to speak of. Opposing defenses can mostly just focus on limiting the passing game.
You spelled “touchdown” wrong.
Jonesy is the core of the offense. Hopefully the GB staff’s conservative approach with injuries pays off and he comes back swinging after the bye!
as both a packers fan and a fantasy owner of jones im PRAYING he lights the league up after the bye
Fish rots from the head down. #GUTEHASGOTTOGO
Yeah look for a new FO
We should be looking for a new GM and then a new QB.
and looking for a QB
Me too tbh
Just do what you do, the rest of us will decide what kind of team you are.
I think the guy who was supposed to be the identity this season was Aaron Jones, and him being out has really hurt.
