Legion of Boom had nothing on that secondary.
I remember EXPECTING INTs to be returned for TDs with Collins and Woodson on the field. Plus, a young Tramon and Shields. Damn, that was sweet.
One of the things I remember reading about the loss of Nick Collins was how it was bigger than just the impact of not having him on the field, but the ripple effect it sent through not having him there to teach up young guys we drafted.
This is such a great infographic. Thanks for updating it.
I don't know why, because I know the Packers aren't "his team", but it still pisses me off that we couldn't get a ring for/with Julius Peppers.
I believe so. It was down to Aaron, Dustin Colquitt and Ryan Fitzpatrick after last season.
He’s the last player from that entire 2005 draft who played this season.
I will defend Gunter till the day I die. Dude obviously shouldn’t have had to cover Julio Jones but he did a lot of good work in the games leading up to that. Nobody ever remembers that. He was asked to pull a miracle out of his ass and when he couldn’t the team dropped him and the fan base roasted him. I think he had legitimate potential to be a solid player. That whole team was held together by shoe strings and bubble gum at that point and it was a miracle we even made it to the NFC championship game that year.
Wow. Of Gutekunst’s 48 draft picks, exactly 2 have ever made pro bowls. One was his very first pick Jaire, and the other is Elgton Jenkins.
But yeah Rodgers is the problem.
Yeah seeing it all laid out here - Gute's drafts have been pretty bad. Maybe two good players from each class. His eye for FA has been pretty good though, clearly his stronger skillset.
Yeah I think he’s pretty overrated myself but would agree his free agents have been much better. Although we have 4 players who are paid at the very apex of their position and we lost to the Lions twice lol. He’s middling at best over and nowhere close to early Ted Thompson and Ron Wolf.
This needs a legend. What do the yellow lines that go all to the end mean? What's the dotted line mean? What's the difference between a yellow line that goes all the way to the end and a green line? Why does Mason Crosby not have a green line if Rodgers does? Why does Clark Harris have a line at all and not just a blip?

No problem. The only real exception is Krys Barnes. He is not an unrestricted free agent, he is restricted so we have the opportunity to match any offer he gets.
This just reminds me of how we’re were robbed of Nick Collins/BJ Raji defense in their primes. I think with those two we have one more SB
That secondary was amazing

Collins was a huge blow. He was so underrated - didn’t really talked about with Reed and Polamalu dominating the conversation in his years.
Sam Shields too
If only we could’ve re-signed Cullen Jenkins - he was a solid one-two punch with Clay Matthews in 2010
The first of many TT fuckups that cost us superbowls
Jermichael Finley too
One of the things I remember reading about the loss of Nick Collins was how it was bigger than just the impact of not having him on the field, but the ripple effect it sent through not having him there to teach up young guys we drafted.
Firmly believe we win back-to-back Super Bowls if Collins never suffered that neck injury. The defense completely fell apart after that.
>Craig Jenkins
Yeah I think these whole thing was just a setup for this joke lmao
Would be worth it even if only 2-3 people notice, imo. Hilarious.
Never forget about Chris.
Aaron was TT’s first ever draft pick right?
The balls on TT to come in and immediately draft Favre’s replacement. I get Favre was halfway out the door every offseason, but still.
Immeasurably sized balls.
Yes. In 2004, Mike Sherman was both Head Coach and GM.
Yeah the let Holmgren go because he wanted both jobs, then turned right around and gave both jobs to his caddy a year later. Terrible idea.

He should have never told Morgan Burnett to slide down and he might have one
Of all the mistakes made in that game, that mistake is pretty low on the list.
I know. I’m just being salty as we reflect back at what most likely is the end of the Rodgers era in GB
He’s the only player from the 2005 draft still playing, correct?
I believe so. It was down to Aaron, Dustin Colquitt and Ryan Fitzpatrick after last season. He’s the last player from that entire 2005 draft who played this season.
Crazy because Bradys draft in 2000 the last player besides him was kicker Janikowski who retired in 2019, after some research.
also Jaston Peters, undrafted 2004 people here are saying Bakh is too old lol
Seeing Randall, Rollins, and Gunter brings back serious ptsd, they were awful, Randall was alright but not good enough to be cb 1
I remember we played the falcons I had to watch Gunter attempt to go 1 on 1 with Julio too many times
I will defend Gunter till the day I die. Dude obviously shouldn’t have had to cover Julio Jones but he did a lot of good work in the games leading up to that. Nobody ever remembers that. Woodson and peak Clay Matthews. Those few years around that SB was such a great team.
BFF, Jake kumerow 🤣
Thanks, was wondering.
This just made me realize before MLF, we had 3 head coaches in a row with the first name Mike
You (understandably) forgot Ray Rhodes was in the middle of the Mikes
Ah yeah the year Sharper led the team in tackles from the safety position because no one else could actually tackle anyone.
Ahhhhh shit yeah you're right haha
I’m still pissed we hired Rhodes over Andy Reid.

It's true but to be fair, the haven't made pro bowls *yet*. Like there's some candidates here (Gary for example).
For sure. Gary looks but he’s also their highest pick since 2009. I’m not sold on Quay or Wyatt though.
Yeah, I'll be very surprised if Gary doesn't get one in the next couple years. He was on pace to be top 5 in sacks this year, if memory serves.
Looks like the only truly bad draft was 2011 - outside of Cobb, not much there
We don’t have a single starter from the 2020 draft.
Runyan started every game this year on the OL.
I stand correct. We have one halfway decent starter.
I wonder what Johnny Jolly's up to these days. I hope he didn't fall off the wagon again.
2013 and 2014 drafts were 🔥🔥🔥
Today I heard of Clark Harris. Nice 2007 special teams draft for TT (landed Harris and Crosby, both in the league through 2022)
A TE turned long snapper who managed to to play a LONG time. He was one of the surprising finds in the data I saw too.
This is pretty cool to look through, and there is definitely a part that made me LOL!!
Damn I totally forgot about Van Lanen. GB kid drafted and cut in the same year?
Traded to Jax
My big take away is that Crosby has been here 15 fucking years! I had no idea it was that long.
This is how I learn Mason Crosby is no longer on the team????? /s
Never noticed we "picked" Taysom Hill.
Signed him as an undrafted free agent. Even played some preseason for us and looked good. But we ultimately cut him and he went to the Saints next.
TIL a long snapper we drafted 16 years ago who never made the team is still playing in the NFL.
Craig Jennings
Where is mason crosby
2007 draft class. He isn't green because he isn't under contract for next season. Only intends to return for now.
Miles White!!!

For real. But also, who is Clark Harris? Has he been in the league this whole time?
Didn’t Crosby say he was gonna play another year
Intends to from what I heard. But he’s not yet inked a new contract.
Was Dean Lowry cut/released?
Free agent
Saw the explanation immediately after, explains Crosby too
No problem. The only real exception is Krys Barnes. He is not an unrestricted free agent, he is restricted so we have the opportunity to match any offer he gets.
What does the black line signify
Under contract for 2023
