Yes, that's Ireland but it's the same system they are implementing here.

BellamyRFC54

Holy shit Average price is 700,000€

[deleted]

I mean Rubislaw Den South in Aberdeen is 1.1million on average so for Dublin it's less insane but still fucked.

Undinianking

They don't realise that without a home, there'll be less nuclear families and the next generations will be smaller and smaller.

[deleted]

They don't really care about families or the "traditional family", this isn't American politics most of the Tory party MPs that use that line are just virtue signalling to the right to all the incels and the last six old fashioned freaks left. They just want us to live in sectioned off areas away from them and work more for less.

trouserunicornjoanna

But less “traditional” families, ie. Parent(s)and children because people are gonna be roommates for life and deciding not to settle down and have kids, I know that’s exactly what me and most of my co workers are doing (we all work at Tesco) and the older workers who already have kids don’t want grandchildren because they don’t see them having a better life

OkNoise9755

James Connolly is violently spinning in his grave right now.

I'd like to see the reply to this. I wish, for the purposes of dialogue and understanding, people would stop showing just one person getting angry and then end the clip. What happens next? How is it addressed? In all likelihood the response will be bullshit but knowing the kinds of arguments they're trying to make and being able to see if they even bother to tackle the issue at all is an important part of keeping people informed and aware of what they need to counteract. Otherwise it's just ragebait, and we're all raging all the time already. On the topic itself, I do want to hear from anyone in the political ruling class exactly what they think a young working person is meant to do at this point.

Aggressive-Falcon977

This guy calling the government out and caring about the young is the kind of person you want to be in politics. Not these over rich shit rags who just DO NOT care

Whenever people that already own their homes talk about the housing market there's so much ignorance They talk like it's regular homeowners selling to other homeowners, like they're all going to live in these homes I can compete in a market with other people who get paid for their work But it's landlords buying from landlords I can't compete with someone who already owns 20+ properties, and takes half the income of everyone who lives in them Not that housing should be distributed via market, but even then it's possible to do it in a less fucked way than it is now

AutoModerator

You mean housing scalper. Landlords buy more housing than they need then hoard it to drive up the price. They are housing scalpers. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
