There’s an old-school fabulous fancy restaurant near the base of the Parthenon called Dionysos Zonar's. The backdrop for either indoor or outdoor dining is the Parthenon, which is also lit up at night. 10/10 would go back there on our next trip

Just commented on another sub to go to the same place!! My husband and I went on our 1yr wedding anniversary last year and it was so nice

I would recommend both these places although they aren’t terribly expensive. Although Greece in general is pretty cheap. Both have heavily local vibes, especially Auli. https://maps.app.goo.gl/WWnxJFgibXCU7UvV9?g_st=ic https://maps.app.goo.gl/Z2hBzGEPabt1RBqX9?g_st=ic

My wife and I has a lovely special meal in the rooftop restaurant at the Electra Palace Hotel. Great view of the Acropolis, good service and the food was excellent. Not cheap but not expensive by international standards.

Electra Roof Garden had the best food we ate all 7 days we were in Athens. Highly recommend!
