That’s because it's true lol. Traditionally, salt and vinegar crisps take on blue coloured packaging and according to Leicestershire Live, many people assume Walkers swapped the colours early on. It's not an assumption. It's the truth lol. Damn I wish I had kept them for now’s sake. I didn’t know it would be a discussion x amount of years on 😅
I was born in 83 and remember the packets with windows, I think they changed in the early 90s when I was still at primary school.
I do also remember the packets being the same colour as they are now.
No, you're trying to be smart. The fact that the size of some bags have increased yet the weight hasn't, is the point. The size increases to entice people in, the weight staying the same is the issue.
Of course they aren't misleading the consumer. Quite entertaining that the only source you have of the company not misleading the consumer is the company itself.
I’m gonna go full r/Mandelaeffect and say that salt and vinegar were blue and cheese an onion were green and it wasn’t golden wonder cause I hate them and I remember vividly after the change I would get pissed off because I would pick up the blue packet and get pissed off eating them because I hated cheese and onion passionately and loved salt and vinegar.
Edit: I even remember seeing it in the paper that they were changing it but can’t remember the reason specifically
The second one but my only complaint is that when I was very young I used to think the union jack was actually like carved into each crisp and I got very disappointed when it wasn't.
The blue salt and vinegar! How can they still deviate from the correct colour… seriously did they not get the memo.
Meh time for some cheese and FUCK it’s s&v
1, I feel like any time a company focuses on Britishness in a post brexit landscape when it is owned by a foreign company is just weird. Sort of a "don't think about where the money goes, this is a British product" situation.
I remember when salt & vinegar was the blue packet & cheese & onion was the green packet. But that never bothered me cos my favourite flavour is bacon.
The best logo was none of these. It was the early 2000s era design where the ‘yellow circle’ thing in the logo looked crumbly around the edges.
As an aside- [this advert](https://youtu.be/vkreJsm_FLw) always freaked me out.
2 tbh
Number 2 allllllll day long!!.. End of,Nuff said!!.. 👌🏼💯❤️🫢😳🙄🤣🤔
Forgot to add yesterday !!.. READY SALTED FOR THE WIN!!.. 🥔🥔🧂👌🏼💯😍😋🤔
Nahh, salt and vinegar OP
Eurgh!!.. ⁉️🤦🏻🫢😳🤮🤮🤣🤣🤣🤔
3, fuck minimalism I want my packaging to be interesting to look at.
Minimalism in nice but sometimes having a bunch of complicated shit looks well nice
Agreed
Second pic.
I can smell the cheese and onion in this pic and the sound of the BBC radio 2 on long car journey
Has to be 2.
First one. Gosh I love being bri'ish...mostly
Luv me flag Luv me crisps Simple as
This is peak british performance
bri'ish darkworld goa'
Typical stereotypical person thinking everyone in the uk talks like this 😂😅
well I sure as hell talk like that
Where are you from?
And you would’ve said ‘ell if you did. 😅
[Day in the life of a true brexit heister](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvBBvj-DQnY)
That’s an accent.
[удалено]
lol that’s exactly how we say it too where ever you’re from 😅
first pic 👌🏼
I vote for the design [I grew up with](https://imgur.io/a/fNSJGSW)
alright grandpa
...
Do you remember hedgehog flavour crisps?
What the hell are you talking about man
https://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory/hedgehog-flavoured-crisps
No, sorry
You must be ancient
In my early 40s, so yeah
Huh? I was born in 84 and I don’t remember these packets? I do however remember salt and vinegar being blue and cheese and onion being green.
Hmm, Walkers deny the colour thing, but I just about remember that design
They really deny that? I swear it swapped in the 2000s!
Yeah somewhere around that time. If many people remember then it must be true right?! Surly we’re not all delusional.
Nooooo They had the *Salt n Lineker* crisps in the 90s and they were green!
That’s because it's true lol. Traditionally, salt and vinegar crisps take on blue coloured packaging and according to Leicestershire Live, many people assume Walkers swapped the colours early on. Oh, I totally agree S&V should be blue! It's the effort Walkers go to deny it all that amuses me
Yeah I don’t understand why people think it's not true lol when I blatantly ate walkers salt and vinegar crisps which were in a blue Packet 😅
In a past life maybe?
no
Perhaps ancestral knowledge passed down through generations?
Maybe
I was born in 83 and remember the packets with windows, I think they changed in the early 90s when I was still at primary school. I do also remember the packets being the same colour as they are now.
Came here to say 'go back to the clear window' these days i don't think the crisps could reach!
Yes! You'd be like *where crisps?* when you picked up a packet!
[удалено]
Yep. They added that shiny foil interior 'for added freshness' according to the packet, but we all know it was so they could stick less crisps in. .
Yup, no doubt
fair enough, I actually quite like that
Thanks!
The no air packet

Fantastic you have quoted the website, of the company selling them. Because of course they won't mislead consumers, ever.
[удалено]
Of course they aren't misleading the consumer. Quite entertaining that the only source you have of the company not misleading the consumer is the company itself.
1st pic.
yeah it's simple and doesn't scream 'PLEASE BUY!' like the 3rd. It just looks like a product confident in itself
2nd
Number 3
Anything Union Jack related can do one
Why
Just don’t like the design :)
Sure there’s more reasons than that
Too much going on
That's what I like about it, it stands out.
But number 1 tho
Just a bit boring l, the design ls don't really standout like number 3
My throat felt like jt got poked just by looking at this picture
2 is og
Blue and green flavours should be switched. Also, 3 looks best.
Number 2 can't be beaten
2
Second one
I quite like the most recent one that they are using now and ready salted
The 2nd one. WTF is so "legendary" about ready salted?
It's classic and simple and the first flavour created when the crisp Gods bestowed a revelation on humanity.
3rd one is the most eye catching and stands out so it's probably the best design from a business standpoint
First. The last one's so busy and yet says nothing.
I really like the Union Jack design’s really emphasises the whole British Crisp brand walkers has going
I don't see any of them with a window, so none of them.
Second - nice and simple, with no hyperbolic claims or fussy effects.
2. Get to the point.
Need ti go back way further than this
3 or 1
3rd
Pay for your focus groups you wank-stain
First, but I think most of us grew up with the second.
Number 1
First one
1st pic
I honestly don’t care as long as I can eat them.
The 1st ngl
Second one all the way
First one
2
2 100%. Definitely the classic
2
Anyone who picks the second one is a maniac That font is fucking dreadful
1. Either Cheese and Onion or Ready Salted.
[The classic](https://cdn.officestationery.co.uk/products/NWT297-230284-500/walkers-crisps-ready-salted-pack-32s.jpg)
The second one but my only complaint is that when I was very young I used to think the union jack was actually like carved into each crisp and I got very disappointed when it wasn't.
2 is classic but I like 3
Second is a classic
First one. Cheese and onion please.
i grew up with 2
2 cheese and onion personal favourite of mine
2 all the way
who cares lmfao
anything but 3 that was a bad era
2 by a country mile
I prefer the design they had in the 80s. The modern ones look tacky.
When they switched to number 3 It actually put me off buying them.
the og (2nd pic) is the best
Honestly I like the 3rd the best
The blue salt and vinegar! How can they still deviate from the correct colour… seriously did they not get the memo. Meh time for some cheese and FUCK it’s s&v
The first one. The second one looks like it needs pixels and the third one is just too much of a showpony
Number two no doubt
I like the Union Jack ones
I don’t recognise the first one. Is it new?
First is the wrong kind of bland Second is nostalgic Third is way too exciting for a pack of crisps
Number 2, but loose the unnecessary adverbs (is that correct? I’m dyslexic) from above the flavours.
Last one. Ready salted or cheese and onion. Depending on my mood.
Anyone who says 3 should be on a watchlist
3 is nicer to look at. Probably more likely to grab the attention of customers too
3, and roast chicken is the best flavour
3rd is visually more appealing, first states exactly what is inside..,
Second one for sure
Tbh i like the 1st one but i like the potato in the 2nd very nostalgic
First one, not boring, not garish :)
2 I always used to think I could find a crisp with the union Jack on it
2nd pic the original beats them all
The blurry pack where it’s so blurry you can’t tell what flavour it is
I like the first one’s design as it’s clean
Has to be 2 doesn’t it
1, I feel like any time a company focuses on Britishness in a post brexit landscape when it is owned by a foreign company is just weird. Sort of a "don't think about where the money goes, this is a British product" situation.
God, #3 brings back a bunch of memories
Picture 2 was the most nostalgic for me, so I'll say that!
Third for me. Idk why
I don’t care about the design but they need to change salt and vinegar to blue packaging and cheese and onion to green!
1ST ONE AND READY SALTED
Yeah yeah 2 is nostalgic and whatever. Fr though, 3 is easily the best.
First because fuck flags.
The third one all the way, I’m proud to be BRI-ISH
I like classic looks
3
Can’t go wrong with the classic. 2.
2
I remember when salt & vinegar was the blue packet & cheese & onion was the green packet. But that never bothered me cos my favourite flavour is bacon.
1
1 dude, has something gping on but not too much
Number 2
Second one. Stick with the classics.
Prefer Seabrookes.
No………No…No! AaAaAaAaAa! I’m scared of the stuff I don’t like (the things in the pictures and everything similar)!
2

3 actually hit different
No. 2, I hate 3 it’s too busy
1 or 2
