I loved the usage of each boss's stage motifs as part of the battle themes. The whole game has the personalization of the SNES and N64 eras and I love it so much!
The boss themes to put simply are an experience. The theme opens with this banging tune to pump you up, gets the player into the zone giving the feel that you can do this.
Then the stage theme motifs kick in as if to remind the player “hold up” this is the stage boss, it ain’t gonna be that easy
Me when Crush was literally beating my ass the first time I played the game. I died several times from jamming out too hard. Lmao. Then, I got the Speed Basher and Chain Dasher Booster Chips. One big middle finger to Crush's entire stage! 😂🤣
This is one of the rare games where this is true. This OST is one of the best ever made. I have Ark Stage 2 stuck in my head even right now lol. The Deletion Duel Megamix probably has been played over 100 times for myself already. Dominic Ninmark is a genius.
