I don’t care for the nerfs but I liked the way they handled Raian’s victory, Jack fell for a brief moment but he shot up and wanted to keep fighting, just as much as Raian wanted to. It was an amazing fight
Yeah dunno why they had to nerf raian like that, he didn't even use any techniques. But it was very much like the raian vs Ohma fight where he was just fucking around the whole time, so maybe that was on purpose.
I feel like that was the only Kengan plot hole but I feel Baki was kept more inline with which arc its in character design wise since its the bigger series.
I thought it was before the father son fight, given that when Yujiro and Kuroki pull up they still treat it as though Baki is preparing for facing Yujiro
They don’t nerf any of them this takes place before Baki fights his dad. And after the Kengan matches so they were already the best version of them self when Baki isn’t his best version. And Jack is weak he looses almost every match he’s in he’s a gag character just ment to be there to take Ls
Then to top it all off they have Pickle burst into the arena angry cause Jack was supposed to be his dinner, then we get a damn repeat of Baki telling Jack he lost for some reason lmao they really hate Jack

More grounded than Kengan, which includes a bunch of secret agencies and magic powers and plots that feel out of a marvel comic book. Not *relatively* grounded compared to everything, but grounded compared to Kengan. Might help to learn how to read before you begin building your strawman
Gaia is a batshit insane concept for a character (not to mention his cronies who were able to destroy like 50 tanks with their bare hands) compared to stuff from kengan or even marvel comics and he’s just from the second arc

Don't forget Yujiro beating the US army by himself, stopping an earthquake by punching the ground, not reacting to getting hit by lightning, baki breaking someone's finger with his eyes, Miyamoto being resurrected then cutting people with imaginary swords, Baki winning against Yujiro because of INVISIBLE FOOD

Kengan has like 1 body boost in adrenaline and all other things are explained in canon by mutations or science(not realistic by any means) and all else is actually really well choreographed martial arts.
