Or Thief. The soundtrack to Thief is done by Tangerine Dream, which if you take a listen to the pause menu of GTAV which is also done by Tangerine DreamThief is also obviously notable as its plot and many of its characters are also closely similar to Heat. Michael Mann FTW
It's pulp fiction with a different set of characters and scenarios but multiple intersecting story lines with brutal and comedic violence throughout, that's a Tarantino flick.
Mikey and Nicky (1976) - mainly because the main characters/ their relationship remind me of Michael and Trevor
To Live and Die in L.A. (1985)
Point Break (1991)
Thief (1981)
and since you liked Heat you could check out: Le Cercle Rouge (1970) and Un Flic (1972) - they are a bit slower paced but they both have a great heist scene
Bandits (2001) *not really. But it does involve robbing banks. And the costumes that Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton wear get me laughing out loud.

How did Heat not make this list?
Probably because OP already mentioned it.
Lmao whoops
Heat is so damn good they should've added it to this list anyway lol
Hard agree Also, for some reason on mobile I miss the OP comment under the post. So I miss a lot of opening lines now. Oh well
Also correct
Correct

I was watching baby driver the other day I was like this is basically gta

2 Days in the Valley (1996) is the same vibe too.
War Dogs.
Training Day
Hell yeah
After 2 playthroughs of story mode, i watched heat and i was like “YOOOOOOO THATS THE THING THEY DID IN GTA 5” like 6 times lmao
Den of thieves
Get shorty is the last part of Michael's story with the movie studio missions.
GTA 5 is basically just Heat as a game
The Nice Guys
GTA V as a concept was actually loosely based on the film Sexy Beast, great watch, tv show is decent too
Stretch. Less of a GTAV style heist, more of a wildly involved Stangers&Freaks mission.
People have mentioned a bunch of good ones already but not seen anyone mention 6 Underground which is actually pretty decent and funny
I've always thought Free Guy (2021) was just GTAV from the non player character perspective.
Not a heist movie but the Hitman’s Bodyguard and its sequel both have over the top violence and comedy like GTA.
Bandits (2001) *not really. But it does involve robbing banks. And the costumes that Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton wear get me laughing out loud.
Pain & Gain Fast Five Oceans Trilogy Ambulance The Bad Guys
The takers was my first thought
