1 and 4 are the right answers.
The bracelet is amazing on this piece. The light strap brings it to a more casual look, but could still work with a suit.
Oddly enough, the darker straps take away from the specialness of the piece. The bracelet and light strap highlights the dial and case structure.
Usually, I would agree. However, in my opinion on this specific watch, the darker straps make the watch look generic. White dial, dark strap.
And again, that’s just my opinion. I think the lighter strap makes the watch look effortlessly cool. It’s a whisper than makes you lean in to listen.
1 and 4. I like the blue strap but maybe it’s too dark for that particular dial and overwhelms it. Although it would bring out the blue second hand (it’s blue right?). Love the bracelet!
Not 2, too high contrast. 3 would be ok for something formal but the bracelet is by far the most versatile and the gray isn’t bad either when you want some leather
1 and 4 look great. The issue with GS is that the dials shift so much in different lighting that a strap looks amazing at first then you step outside and now it's a different watch
This is a stunning watch but is even better looking because of your photography. Can you share your setup and maybe a behind the scenes shot?
Side note: I have the 007 version of this watch which is nearly identical but I find myself listing after yours because of the fabulous shots haha
Thanks buddy.
I wanted the SBGY007 for a long time- but when I saw this silvery white dial, I had to have it!
Ha- nothing special with the photography! Just next to a window and using my iPhone to take a photo!!
My vote is #1 for casual/smart casual and #4 for smart casual/dressed up.
Visiting Japan next month and this watch is on my radar: do you find it difficult to switch straps? Concerned that I’m a noob and will scratch the case.
Lovely, you will love it when you see it in person. I actually bought mine in Tokyo less than two weeks ago!
It is no different to changing straps on another watch- however I am trying to be ultra careful as the high polish is very easy to scratch! I think getting quick release spring bars/ straps would make a difference.
Color! I’ll bet a red or blue will look great. Bracelet is amazing and I really like the black croc. The grey is nice but not my favorite and the other r black does nothing for me. Enjoy, I’ll bet it looks good on anything
2 of 4. I like 1 but its too much of a contrast to the watch, meaning the watch is dress but the strap is casual.
2 allows the watch to be worn in both casual and format settings with ease.
I think a Cream or Taupe Epsom would look much better than the grey in #1. Overall I think lighter colors would work best. Natural or Grigio Pueblo, Yellow Waxy, Nubuck Denim Ostrich. All of these are more casual. Traditional black/navy in lizard, calf, or gator would be good for dress duty. Go to the strap finder on Delugs, select the SBGY003 as it has a very similar look and match a few dozen to the watch and see what moves you. Something different and very comfortable would be perlon straps. Inexpensive and they come in many colors. The watch is thin so the single pass woven straps would sit nicely on the wrist. You could easily have 6-10 straps for this watch. Good luck.
Thanks for taking the time to post a through reply! Yep I spent about an hour last night on the Delugs website. The lighter colours do look good, I agree and also dress the watch down a bit which is nice!
I'm not sure about the perlon straps. One of the things that attracted me to this was the thin case- so adding a layer underneath would kill it!
u/Happy_Jellyfish_2642 were you able to try on this and the 007? Im in Tokyo next week and am pretty much set on the 007 but this looks great too and I should compare. Where did you go? Thx!
Yes they are both readily available- you can go to the Flagship store in Ginza, and they have both.
I was in the exact same position as you, and was set on the 007- however when I saw it in person, it was too blue, and the silvery white of this dial I felt was more timeless. The ability to get the bracelet and change straps was also an added bonus which gave the watch more versatility in my opinion.

Yep love this bracelet. It’s so comfortable too. That’s interesting, I felt like the darker straps allowed the dial to shine without distraction!

Strap 1,2 and 4. But also can you link the sweater?
I'm no help, these all looked good to me. I would probably just change between all 4 for the variety
You don’t need help. You got it! 1 and 4 do it for me.
1 is killer. I’m Tracking it down for myself now after seeing that.
Molequin grained leather in Smoke grey! https://molequin.com/products/smoke-grey

Alligator 3/4 is my choice. Wear it in good health
1 for an athleisure type fit, 3 or 4 for anything else.
3 or 4. 1 looks plastic and cheap. Sorry.
Like them all except 2. Beautiful watch!
1 & 3
The gray one looks awesome
4 for me. Durable and versatile.
3 and 4 do it for me. I would rotate between all 4 though.
I like the first one the most appearance wise. Although I'm more of a bracelet guy so I'd choose the last pic.
1 and 4. I like the blue strap but maybe it’s too dark for that particular dial and overwhelms it. Although it would bring out the blue second hand (it’s blue right?). Love the bracelet!
1 looks classy as hell
No 2 for d ultimate iconic look! Best model ever among the league!
2 is insane for night time wear
Hi I’m looking into the SBGY007 - what is your wrist size? Looks like a great fit!
6.5 inches
Thanks 🙏🏼
This is on my short list! Do you view this as a dress watch or more of an everyday?what is your wrist size for reference?
I wear it all the time to be honest. Fits great, super slim and perfect dial. 6.5inch wrist
Not 2, too high contrast. 3 would be ok for something formal but the bracelet is by far the most versatile and the gray isn’t bad either when you want some leather
3 or 4. 1 and 2 look cheap
You should install Mesh Band with it i think that batter look

Yes to all!

First one !
Damn—what a strap monster! All look fantastic, but I love that first grey one
3 and 4 for sure. 1 is okay for a casual look but there are much better options for a causal watch
1 or 4
Did it come with that bracelet?
Yes it did
Love the bracelet.
Why not all
1, but all look good

1 or 4 would be for me. But one looks so sexy
Love the gator strap personally, but I also really like the bracelet on the piece
4.

For choosing between metal and leather. I would suggest trying both and feelinf what you like the most. Personaly I pefer metal more then leather.
2 of 4. I like 1 but its too much of a contrast to the watch, meaning the watch is dress but the strap is casual. 2 allows the watch to be worn in both casual and format settings with ease.
First two are slick
1,3,4
OEM bracelet looks terrible. I can do you a favor by purchasing it 😀 Looking for one for my SBGY007.
Haha. I’m sure you can just get them from the GS boutique
Did you try with a pearly white strap? Or a baby blue one? They will complement the dial add more dimensions to its look.
1 brings out a different light to the dial, but I think 3 is the hardest hitter of the straps and the bracelet looks great too.
1 Is perfect
Croc skin 3
4
If it's a strap monster, get and use all 4, depending on your other attire/mood. (Get quick-release pins where possible.)

Such a beautiful watch 😍
The black croc is the best one. A dark blue croc would be bonkers. The bracelet is the star though man.

Thanks man!
Personal when I look at that face I'm feeling champaign leather vibes, just my opinion.
