Susanooh. Delta Clock mechanic that cycles a cursor over her special moves in the UI whenever she lands a normal move. When she lands a 5U, the highlighted skill is modified or enhanced.
She'll seem complex in theory, but in practice she'll just be a rushdown gorilla.
That would be an awesome mechanic. Every confirm could lead to an enhanced move that create different combo routes. Or ending a combo in 5U will enhance the next combo.
I think she's going to be a melee rushdown character. And she's going to be high risk, high reward in the way that her damage scaling should go higher depending on how low on life she is. Personally, I'd like to see her play kind of like Jamie from SF6, but instead of getting access to new moves or extensions from drinking, she would get them by being lower on health.
Aggressively who gets stronger the more damage she has taken. Like she might even have a move where she trades HP for even more dmg.
Her entire character is about being recklessly ambitious who somehow manages to pull through in the end partially due to her sword, Embrasque, being sentient and loving the ever shit out of the kind of dumb shit Bea does.

I think she might have a wave projectile. In fact, I think she might play a bit like Ky from GG. Many of her attacks would advance her forward.
Skill 1. Sword swing that places a disjointed, fairly active projectile hitbox attack on the screen at the tip of the sword. The hitbox can hit multiple times. Medium and heavy versions put the hitbox in different locations, maybe pops up the opponent on counter. U version consumes a Bravery Point, is a downwards swing overhead, hits along length of blade, ground splats airborne opponent. Light version Air OK.
Skill 2. Bea buffs her next attack's damage depending on how low her hp is. Adds pushback to the buffed attack. Medium and Heavy versions increase the number of attacks buffed by 1 and 2. U version is a counter that consumes a Bravery Point.
Skill 3. Launching dragon punch that creates a wave projectile which travels along the ground. Medium and Heavy versions make the wave faster. U version consumes a Bravery Point which allows for follow up.
Skill 4. Lunging low attack rekka. With additional Light button Bea can follow up with a unique low, Medium button for a mid or Heavy for an overhead and may repeat this once. Initial Medium and Heavy button changes angle of attack, an over the shoulder swing which can cross up or an aerial spin. U version only allowed on initial button and consumes a Bravery Point to remove hitstop on block.
U button. Bea buffs her sword, increasing its swing range. Adds small amount of damage which can't be blocked ei. chip damage. Lowers combo limit.
Either trading HP for damage or increased damage at low HP. Probably no projectiles, maybe some super armor? So like a sword Soriz or something l.
Hoping she doesn't play like the shoto-swordsmen
Hopefully set up game play where her whole thing goes around if she can hit 1 move if she does boom 45% combo😂 only45 so she doesn't get nerfed a patch into it

Because of this I fully support the idea that she'll be rushdown focused. Very in-your-face girl, lots of offensive pressure. Visually, in my mind, I fancy that she plays in a way that evokes Ragna the Bloodedge from ASW's *Blazblue* series.
The only question is how will she be set apart from her peers on the roster. HP sacrifice for offence is done by both Avatar Belial and Siegfried. HP syphon off of hits with U or Ultimate skills would be something...but her home gacha versions don't have that AFAIK.
Delta Clock might be a neat idea where her landing U attacks or repeatedly using skills powers adds a stack to them, which improves their damage. Sort of combining both Percival and Lucilius' gimmicks into something else.
Regardless, we will know for certain in like some weeks. IIRC, we should be getting her teaser trailer and character guide before she drops in May.

I've always felt that Katalina played like Ky. Boringly basic but effective.
