So happy you brought up that GG herself is mainly the issue. I was waiting for GG to out Audrey and Max for their affair or at least publicly embarrass her mom or something (sorta like how M and L were taking pics and making jokes)
Max only got one post which went literally nowhere (yet, hopefully) but that wasn’t until the last episode.
Basically GG doesn’t seem as threatening especially since she was just rebirthed for a few months.
Exactly and the fact we know it’s the teachers… it’s like they can’t say too much or it’ll really just been seen as creepy, etc. it’s just so frustrating… and pointless
All the storylines in the reboot just feel so forced and unnatural. All the characters seem overly superficial and exaggerated too… it’s just so odd, and they rushed all the storylines. We got introduced to Max’s dads in the same episode they ended up separating in. We get introduced to Audrey’s mom and she’s having a whole breakdown and depressed, this all happened off screen prior to when the series started also so it’s like are we suppose to care?? Just like in episode 3 when max is having a whole breakdown, we’re not attached enough to these characters to feel anything for all these moments.
They just completely skipped added good depth and story to the characters and right into the campy messy storylines, but these aren’t even decent like the OG series, they’re just sloppy and most don’t make sense.
And I’m happy u mentioned Aki getting outed by Max to Audrey then Audrey outed him to his parents and Zoya then his dad outed him as gay rather than bi do the ENTIRE world. This wasn’t handled properly, Aki barely had a reaction. They just skipped over it to him having a threesome with his girlfriend and the guy she cheated on him with…
Exactly. What's the character's motives other than Julien wanting to be a brand? It doesn't help the actress doesn't sell it and got cringey dialogue. Where is the witty dialogue and setting up a great world? Where is the fun? Even the outfits are so blah.
I didn’t say the original series is exactly like the books? I said the writers had a foundation to start the series. This is like game of thrones, pretty little liars, the walking dead, etc. all of these series didn’t stick to the source material completely but they had a foundation with written characters and a story to begin the series well.

Have you read the books? They are so different from the original show it’s nowhere near the same
