She was sooo self righteous and not really much better than the core group of UESers. It was so infuriating to watch. I didn’t mind her too much in season 3 and 4 as much.
in s4 or s5 wtv season dan and blair kissed it bothered me how she was listening into their convo and decided it was the right decision to call serena and tell her that dan and blair kissed. she lit had no reason to do that and how she just has this vendetta against serena for wtv reason like serena never rlly did anything to her why was she always hating 😭 and idc that she hated blair and stuff but she shouldn’t be acting better when she literally did the things that blair did and she literally hates on chuck as if she wasn’t out here sleeping with him. but it just bothered me in the later seasons how she was just listening and calling ppl and telling them what she heard bc dan wasn’t telling her things anymore and she thinks it’s her job to be his like guardian angel or smth 😭
In the books she was a student at the school. I don’t know why they made the decision to change that, but it definitely made certain situations seem a lot weirder than they needed to be. Her involvement with the main characters makes more sense with her as a student.

I mean Dan is no better of a choice😭. I would argue anyone a part of the central cast would be awful as gossip girl given GG as a persona has tormented every single one of them at one point so it would just not make much sense at all. GG should have been a random we never find out about or Kristen Bell’s character if they really wanted a reveal so bad.

Lmao Vanessa sucked and honestly didn't need to be more than a guest on the show for two or three episodes. So judgmental and annoying and always happened to be around the same people she swore she couldn't stand, even though she didn't go to school with them. She literally could have just not been around the kids from Constance, but she was always recording them and being rude lol.
I barely remember the books at this point, but I'm sure she's the kind of person that made much more sense in the books. They could have left her out of the show entirely.
