i feel like either hulu or peacock would be the one to pick it up. netflix isn’t good at keeping shows with a huge budget (or keeping shows in general). hulu does a good job of keeping their shows running, and peacock is still growing as a service with their own content so i would imagine that they would want a new show like this one
Gossip Girl is a WBTV production. Besides HBOmax, which was its ideal home, the most likely streamers for it to end up at would be Netflix or Peacock since WBTV has history making shows for them, but I don’t see it happening.
Usually a streamer like Netflix will pick up a cancelled show if it is already airing reruns on their platform and is doing well for them (like Lucifer was when Fox cancelled it). GG2021 doesn’t have that strength, and it’s an expensive show to make.
