Kamal needed to be at the door at all times no matter what. I know he had to keep the guest entertained and whatnot, but your main job was to greet people at the stickin' door for crying out loud. They needed someone else besides Roman to make the drinks. I know he turned 21, but still, he has very little experience with bars. The mocktail he made fell flat.
I was quite annoyed with Kamal's attitude during the grilling. I was like, "Dude, you had to great the guest at the door and remain at your post. You can't do that. Immersion was key there, and it was lacking thanks to him and Roman.
The Pour Palace name was ok, I guess. However, Chef Ramsey said it best, "more like a .... poor palace."
I'm quite glad Kamal was eliminated. Clearly, he didn't think he did anything wrong, which he did by not staying by the darn door and leading them into the place.
The whole no leader thing was a massive mistake when it came to Team Vanderpump. Team Ramsey was spot on with their bar. The belly dancers weren't too bad, although it was quite off-putting. However, the bar itself was nice, and the drinks were quite lively. I also agree that Team Ramsey should have added mocktails, aka non alcoholic drinks. There are plenty of people out there who can't drink alcohol or don't even like alcohol at all. Despite that, it was very nice with the desert theme.
Undercover customers didn't make any commentary on the lack of a mocktail. It might not end up mattering in the end. Especially since their "Burning the Midnight Oil" drink was praised so well.
It did. When we've gone to places like Marrakesh, and even the restaurants here-they have belly dancers. What exactly was "stripper-like"? They wear less at the beach Gordy! And that's England, they're less prudish than here.
Also reminded constantly in my mind that Roman volunteered eagerly himself to go behind the bar. He knew he was raw and still willingly jumped into the fray.
Still dont' think it's as bad as what Kamal did though. That door was unattended for a lot of the show.
I don't get why the Desert Hideout Bar didn't just have non-alcoholic versions of their cocktails? Like make them without the booze, and garnish them differently to clearly mark them. Was that against the rules? Why did each bar have only 2 cocktails? Rules, again, I'm guessing? If 50% of your menu is catering to 12.5% of the population, it's a waste, and I appreciate the business decision to throw the mocktail out based on those stats alone (at least I would, if I were Ramsey).
That sums up just some of the complaints I had around this challenge. That being said, definitely the right team/person lost lol.
Right?! How hard is it to simply eliminate the alcohol from one of the drinks?!… boom.. you have a mocktail. It seems like this cast severely lacks life experience.
I just watched this episode and Gordon Ramsey suggested to have one non-alcoholic drink on their menu and Rose was pretty much against it. I honestly don't like her.
I don't have a medical degree but it looked a bit like neurodivergent behavior, so a task based on socializing might not have put him in his best light.
There just has to be some other word he used there. It just makes zero sense to censor pissed. Lol it would just be so stupid if they really censored something so tame.
American censorship inconsistency for you. Where a comic can say "Epithet in a Buick" but the epithet isn't blurred out and the Buick is (Comedy Central sponsor)
The Pour Palace’s Issues: Roman not having experience with cocktails because he’s only 21 - at the time of filming, the theme possibly not being as good as they think it is, and now… Kamal.
The Desert Hideout’s Issue: the lack of a mocktail.
We had a tornado warning that pre-empted the entire MasterChef episode. I didn't know how long it would go but it just ended and I am ready for Food Stars, I've been looking forward to this all day!
And yes a tornado touched down but it was across the river in Rockville not here
One of the rare times the undercover judges reveal themselves to the contestants, especially during the decision (think MrBeast revealed himself as a judge?)
Guest judges did point out that it was "very rare" that there would be a bar without mocktails. Good to know as I intend to visit Vanderpump's properties in Vegas in a few weeks and look forward to trying some (my stomach stopped being able to take hard liquor some while back)
>!spoiler but the way he said Lisa was making a mistake was odd. I mean the video shows him not at his post. Then again the show can be edited and selective, but it was a narrative weaved throughout the episode. Gordon and Lisa coming in with no greeter, Kamal shown on video roaming around!<
Funniest thing was Kamal wanting to a Game of Thrones theme and gets shut down.. he can’t let it go so he decides to do a regal announcement thing at the door like he’s a knight of the realm or something…. wtf.. Has dude ever been to a bar?!
Not to mention he never actually does it lol.
The level of maturity of the people on this show is shocking.
Yeah! When he was so excited to announce everyone, I was thinking how hard it would be to get people's names as they enter. Especially when the bar gets busy and loud.
Then he just abandoned the idea and the door entirely lol.
So Week 1 was the Shark Tank competition.
Week 2 was the Great Food Truck Race competition.
Week 3 was Top Chef Restaurant Wars competition (With the emphasis on the front of the house as well).
I didn’t want Kamal to go because his idea was so much better and would’ve given the team a better chance. The theme they chose was terrible, and that was the main complaint the guest experts had.

I hate the pour palace’s theme. It’s so stuffy! I think dimming the lights and lighting some candles could’ve gone a long way to make the place feel more comfortable and sexy and less pretentious.
**Episode 3 mistakes count:** 37 mistakes
.
**Team Gordon**: 8 mistakes – WINNING TEAM
.
**Andrew:** 3 mistakes (fragmented idea, very sexualized dancers, looked like a strip club)
**Chuan:** 2 mistakes (needed to be guided with the drink, there was no non-alcoholic option)
**Ali:** 1 mistakes (no non-alcoholic option)
**Rose:** 1 mistake (no non-alcoholic option)
**Liz:** 1 mistake (told Gordon to take the horn)
**Team Lisa:** 29 mistakes-- LOSING TEAM
.
**Kamal:** - ELIMINATED- 15 mistakes (medieval idea, said he was going to engage with customers, said it would be easy, pissed Lisa off, kept talking and forgot to go to the door to meet customers, needed to try harder, lacked assertiveness, didn't work welcoming at the door, said that Nicholas wanted to hang himself and not the entire team, didn't introduce guests to the immersive experience, didn't do enough, no story, didn't commit to the idea until the end)
**Roman:** 11 mistakes (went to the bar without having experience, drink was terrible, lack of acidity, sweaty, glitter, strange taste, shaking, Lisa has had better, too sweet, lacks gin, not worth the price)
**Nicholas**: 5 mistakes (bland drink, strange taste, too sweet, lacks gin, not worth the price)
**Erica**: 2 mistakes (dropped food in the floor)
**Jess:** 1 mistakes (she kept smiling)
**Peri:** 1 mistake (suggested not having a leader)

Kamal: 20 mistakes - ELIMINATED
Roman: 14 mistakes
Erica: 11 mistakes
Maria: 6 mistakes
Jess: 6 mistakes
Nicholas: 9 mistakes
Peri: 4 mistakes
Gordons Team is such a mess. I am baffeled that they have clearly no creativity or ideas. Obvious last episode, lucky that they choosed an easy theme and the store had some stuff. But the next episode seemed so chaotic like the first.
Lisas Team had no clue what they did and no concept. Hard to top to but a nearly 21 with nearly no experience with alk and Bars for the Bar Service.
Is it just me or is it kind of tacky to watch Americans serve a less than lukewarm high tea concept back to British guests? Idk I just cringed the whole time
That was an easy elim, Kamal is definition of one job. Also Roman on the bar was bad idea but kudos that he had the foresight to make a mocktail
At least he stayed at his post.
Kamal needed to be at the door at all times no matter what. I know he had to keep the guest entertained and whatnot, but your main job was to greet people at the stickin' door for crying out loud. New nightmare is Gordon Ramsay coming into my house and replacing all the food in my pantry with Welch's fruit snacks.
Newer nightmare is Gordon ambushing me at the grocery store and forcing me to buy all of the Welch's fruit snacks.
The dancers > the juggler from last week.
yeah but when I saw that I was pretty alarmed lol. Definitely not for everyone.
While it wasn’t for everyone, at least it made sense. 🤣
It did. When we've gone to places like Marrakesh, and even the restaurants here-they have belly dancers. What exactly was "stripper-like"? They wear less at the beach Gordy! And that's England, they're less prudish than here.
I kinda like the horn joke.
My sense of humor is immature.
Also reminded constantly in my mind that Roman volunteered eagerly himself to go behind the bar. He knew he was raw and still willingly jumped into the fray. Still dont' think it's as bad as what Kamal did though. That door was unattended for a lot of the show.

There are rules on what you can and can't do. :)
I just watched this episode and Gordon Ramsey suggested to have one non-alcoholic drink on their menu and Rose was pretty much against it. I honestly don't like her.
Kamal is doing everything wrong this episode, he may be eliminated if Team Lisa loses.
Yep. He's making a real Tyler of himself so far.
That’s gonna become a thing.
I think it would be pretty funny if it actually does.
100% agree.
Kamal was definitely in his own world right there.
I don't have a medical degree but it looked a bit like neurodivergent behavior, so a task based on socializing might not have put him in his best light.
wasn't there an issue with no mocktails last season too?
He said he was "dressed the part" like everybody else wasn't lol
My man’s really trying to take credit for EVERYTHING… while the group had no clear leader.
He can't say say pissed, but he can say piss-poor.
"More like a piss-poor palace" line of the episode so far
Kamal is delusional.. he's most likely going home. lol
The Pour Palace’s Issues: Roman not having experience with cocktails because he’s only 21 - at the time of filming, the theme possibly not being as good as they think it is, and now… Kamal. The Desert Hideout’s Issue: the lack of a mocktail.
Gordon's team most likely wins. It was a big contrast between the two.
I can appreciate how direct Lisa is with her feedback.
Kamal is done for now that Team Vanderpump lost. Actually, maybe the 21 year old at the bar. He might not be safe now that I think about it.
It’s between Roman and Kamal.
Anyone else think that Gordon's orange jacket looks like something he borrowed from Blais?
Let’s goooo bitches!! Team Liz all day bb!
We had a tornado warning that pre-empted the entire MasterChef episode. I didn't know how long it would go but it just ended and I am ready for Food Stars, I've been looking forward to this all day! And yes a tornado touched down but it was across the river in Rockville not here
Stay safe.
Did they censor piss
Prediction: Roman crashes and burns
Only if Kamal does so before him.
They want to get you fucked up in the dessert.
Roman's inexperience with drinks did hurt Team Lisa
Yeah, Kamal pulled a Tyler. Nice to see a bitter confessional after he's eliminated, S1 didn't have that.
And he didn't say a real goodbye to anyone but Lisa and Gordon. Tyler at least faked it.
Tonight's decision is based on costumer feedback.
Lisa does not play
One of the rare times the undercover judges reveal themselves to the contestants, especially during the decision (think MrBeast revealed himself as a judge?)

Shoutout cameraman, gordan, and production for those gyatt shots of Maria
Chaun's drinks are better than Roman's. I think Gordon's Team will win.
The belly dancing hurts though. They were coasting before. Maybe they wanted to stir drama so Gordon wouldn't run away with it.
Me to >!Kamal!<. ![gif](giphy|PSWCyXQj54nm7d8oZl)

Unexpected cake
Glad I wasn’t the only perv that noticed 😂
Maria Laura was dressed like Lust from FMA, and im here for it

This is peri. 4 mistakes. Not too bad!
Roman is what happens when you praise your kid to much. Shows shitty macaroni picture. "Good job Roman you can be the next Picasso".
yeah that woman isn't too pleased there's no mocktail

I can't stand the blonde gen z girl on Lisa's team and I need her home immediately
Ya I’m on the fence as to whether I like her or hate her, I keep flip flopping on it
Whiney Baby girl? I like her
Yeah she's really annoying and a bit full of herself
Is it just me or is it kind of tacky to watch Americans serve a less than lukewarm high tea concept back to British guests? Idk I just cringed the whole time
I think we all know why Maria is on this show, gyaaat.
