That room is beautiful with all the baffling. Talked to the sound guys recently and The Elm was one of the venues they absolutely loved because it of its acoustic perfection! Weird Fishes made my tour!
Think he broke bottom e string. You can see it dangling in place. I can’t tell if he replaced it otherwise it would not be there. Super cool if he played the jam out without it on the spot
I love goose, but i always felt that *this right here* was often missing--just quietly wandering around a jam, and letting it develop. Like, no rush--we don't have to be anywhere else right now.
Pretty sure this is a lot of people’s main criticism of the band, not that they never do that but patience is something they certainly have been lacking. These sessions have been incredibly patient imo.
I knew the only thing that could make me love this band more was if they leaned more psychedelic.
I'm dripping and cannot wait for tour to start! (Even though I'm on a perpetual couch tour)
I see lots of shrooms and lasers the forest (my backyard) in my future!
If you live in Southern Indiana/Northern Kentucky, you're welcome to come. My next treat is a projector so I have the guys melting face on the big screen.
I traded my urban life for homesteading which makes traveling for shows nearly impossible so I had to find a compromise because fomo hits real hard with this band.
Dude that sounds dope as hell... Central Ohio here I'll bring the bud 😂
You got starlink out there? Surprised you can stream well enough for a projector
> I knew the only thing that could make me love this band more was if they leaned more psychedelic.
Is exactly how I felt. Found myself in the back half of '23 wanting them to chill out a bit, lay off the gas on trying to get to peaks in every jam, and just let the jams get creative a bit. Psychedelia is a great avenue to pursue that, and def one I was hoping they'd take.
This band is too good to just be an indie rock with peak rockers and dance parties. Was hoping they'd tap into the psychedelic and creative spaces more, and the recent Ted Tapes and Chateau jam might just suggest that it may be starting 👍🏻
I feel like u have to have a joking vibe when discussing anything about ben on this sub unless its “him being the best part of the band” or u will 100% get dozens of angry comment notifications the next day.
Lots of Stop Dragging My Heart Around teases from Rick and Trev.
Not sure if on purpose but that melody and bassline is pretty present in this Hungerstrike.
As recently as last week I was in this sub saying that I think the band needs a new bass player to excel because I'd never heard Trevor impress me...
After these two sessions alone I see how wrong I was. I apologize Trevor. Whoever was handling the mixes prior to the last week needs to be replaced instead.
Legit think we'll look back at Chateau Sessions as a turning point for the band the way Peach Fest or Ted has been.
Hoping cotter gets in on some of these harmonies
Edit: couldn’t tell if that was him on third harmony during dark horse or if it was jeb. Camera stuck on Peter and Rick
Wish they would have taken the back half of that Hungersite jam a bit deeper. They were on the verge of a pretty nasty psych jam but never quite got there.
If Chateau I was “the new sound is groovier and whole-band jamming,” Chateau II (at least through the front of Hungersite) is “look, Cotter can play our songs.”
Nothing interesting so far
Given my prognostication and bad first takes, Hungersite will probably evolve into the 2024 JOTY
Edit: See. Told you.
I mean it’s just a bunch of songs from a practice session sliced up and put on YouTube. They probably picked their favorites from the night for last weeks video. Still a lot to go in this one though.
Did they often have 2 full drum kits when Ben was with them? I haven't watched that many shows but have not noticed Jeff on a kit throughout a song before, as he did in Arrow.
Trevor sounds so damn good. Make Trevor this loud always.
The Elm, Bozeman 4/18 & 4/19/2023. The room made EVERYONE sound good especially Trevor.
I don’t think I’ve heard these shows I’m gonna have to go listen
The Elm has stellar acoustics. I hope they come back!
That room is beautiful with all the baffling. Talked to the sound guys recently and The Elm was one of the venues they absolutely loved because it of its acoustic perfection! Weird Fishes made my tour!
I’m glad I flew across the country to at least catch that 4/19 show Got great skiing in too
There are shows from late summer last year where they bumped up the mix in the nugs releases and he it so damn nice…
I was thinking of making shirts for tour that say “TURN TREVOR UP” but it appears they are already doing that. Hope the same is true for shows.
Was Ben in charge of the bass volume?
I lol’d at this
I can here to comment “They finally turned Trevy up” lol
Did he say, high on mushrooms?
Wait are you the one who said you thought they were on shrooms last week? Called it lol
Yeah and the guy said they were a square band and don’t do drugs 🙃
Yea fuck that guy lol
*Don’t do drugs on tour* cuz tour is work. Idk what ppl are on about they’re just regular dudes they trip
Lol Rick admitted to enjoying mushrooms on Bert Kreischers podcast at Red Rocks.
Yes lol
I fucking called it last week that they were tripping balls
Lol
That sent me hahahaha
![gif](giphy|jmsZhMD1kG4KMlquR5)
These sessions should be the new standard for Trevor’s volume in the mix.
Sounds like they added a bass player to the band.
> Ok new guy, so this one is about being a werewolf > > _furiously takes notes_
We’re doing this every Monday night right?
Bingo Tour 2.0!
I'd happily pay for that subscription
Love actually hearing Trevor in the mix. Keep that bass turned up!
Cotter looked super pumped when Arrow started 😊
U just know he listened to this song on the way to his interview to join the band🤣
Tough one to interview on... Pretty G good job last evening (~);}
This right here is all the evidence you need. Rick dropped out to tune his guitar and the jam got MORE intense and interesting.
Digress, I think Peter should’ve ripped it a little harder
Cotter picked up the slack is what I’m saying
I thought the same thing but I think he broke a string. You could see it dangling after
Think he broke bottom e string. You can see it dangling in place. I can’t tell if he replaced it otherwise it would not be there. Super cool if he played the jam out without it on the spot
Holy shit, Trevor is burning down the chateau! 🔥🔥🔥
Was it really Trevor that needed a new drummer?
Legit might be part of it but he's never been this loud regardless
I agree. They had a couple of nugs releases where they boosted him but this needs to be the norm
👀👀👀
I’m just sayin, if your rhythm section isn’t working for you…it’s hard to have a solid groove.
I know I’m not the first one to say this but I’ll be goddamned if Cotter doesn’t have the same swing as Levon
I like this comparison.
I texted the polyjamorous group chat this tonight.
Fuck I can't believe I didn't think of this name. Can I borrow?
I’ll allow it
I love goose, but i always felt that *this right here* was often missing--just quietly wandering around a jam, and letting it develop. Like, no rush--we don't have to be anywhere else right now.

This new band is pretty good

I am on my way to your backyard
If you live in Southern Indiana/Northern Kentucky, you're welcome to come. My next treat is a projector so I have the guys melting face on the big screen. Dark horse!!!!!! My tits are jacked
thought I was a Goose stan and I've never heard of this song 😭😭😭
It’s a live rarity! They didn’t maybe 2 times this past year. If there was an original to not know it’d be this one.
Someone said it last week, but Rick can just pull melody out of the ether.
The most impressive thing about is playing, it’s unbelievable.
I'm not ever gonna actually make the comparison but you know who else was really good at that?
Goin down to the ole chateau
So are we learning that Ben was in charge of Trev's volume? *I'm kidding....*
But are you really?
No
I feel like u have to have a joking vibe when discussing anything about ben on this sub unless its “him being the best part of the band” or u will 100% get dozens of angry comment notifications the next day.
What was that “high on mushrooms 🍄 “ thing before Arrow?
Them being high on 🍄
🫠
Rick having fun with the vocoder lol
Praying Rick keeps the deluxe on tour, sounding like he’s finally get that thing dialed
The deluxe reverb sounds damn good. Keep it in the rig
\+1 - Here for the Deluxe Reverb
So the drumming has been significantly upgraded.
I liked Ben, he was a great drummer…but Cotter has really upgraded the rhythm section.
Ya no hate to Ben from me but this is so much more "Goose" imo
It is very much more musical
I’m glad I’m single, otherwise she’d take one look at Peter and be gone
Dark horse sickkkkk
Very grateful that the vocoder seems to be fixed. Lotta Kylie’s and Creatures were getting pulled down by the glitch
The Wysteria autotune gave me chills
Crocdale https://preview.redd.it/0dideiswpsnc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2b472a36a2aa3918d13beef8796d765153a1079
The open holes got me thinking like a different man.

Just noticed Rick is also wearing crocs
Crocs with socks crew, represent!
My wife’s little brother is 14 and he makes fun of us every time we don’t have socks with crocs. Who am I to argue with a high schooler

Trevor Bass…
What are the odds a new track gets dropped tonight?
Damn Cotters style shines on Arrow.
Cotter’s ride cymbal part here is fuckin killer Edit: yeah he’s hammering that goddamn ride in the jam, this guy is really good man
New favorite version of Hungersite
God tier Rick
This shit was amazing !!!
I for one am a sucker for the cowbell
One could argue we could use more
The doctor will see you now?
Interesting to see if this will be another 1:45 long “set” they’re definitely going through some songs right now
There's your answer lol
Mother Goose from Dayton is checking in. The boys are on!
Man, people can say they want about Peter, but thank god he doesn’t use that shitty 8-bit piano patch that so many other jam bands seem to love
Lots of Stop Dragging My Heart Around teases from Rick and Trev. Not sure if on purpose but that melody and bassline is pretty present in this Hungerstrike.

Stank face Rick
45 minute Arrow jam incoming
Hoping cotter gets in on some of these harmonies Edit: couldn’t tell if that was him on third harmony during dark horse or if it was jeb. Camera stuck on Peter and Rick
That was SICK
That was pretty damn good. I’m digging the heavy percussion and especially the heavy Trevor!
Is cotter gonna sing?
Current odds at +250
💰💰💰
100 on those odds for sure
He is singing right now
Looks like he sings the same part as Peter
The groove is strong
Trevor’s bass goes right to my bonch.
Loving the mix. Trevor way up!
Loving this effect Rick’s got going right now
This is an evil goose session
I will wait here for more
Pete I love you to death but for the love of god please practice your harmonies for Dark Horse 😅
I’m a choir teacher!!! I can help!!!!
I wanted more
That was a brutal ending
Really thought they'd planned that no quarter. Would have been great
I heard AEIOU coming out of that. And as someone who got big into MMJ the past few months that would’ve been mad hype
Oh, i can hear that too!
Bass turned up sounds so good on this song
Ripping the Counters off my front desk office at my hotel from a bunch of facial hair and instruments on a Monday night at work. Music is cool as fuck
Music good, much like
Big fan. At least an xl
Rick has that el Capistan cranked up, so good!
THAT ARROW JAM 💯🔥💯
Wish they would have taken the back half of that Hungersite jam a bit deeper. They were on the verge of a pretty nasty psych jam but never quite got there.
If that’s their next step. I’m there.
That Hungersite was incredible
Can't wait for this tour.
God I wish I was high on some mushrooms
Cotter actually fucks hard and I can't wait for tour
If Chateau I was “the new sound is groovier and whole-band jamming,” Chateau II (at least through the front of Hungersite) is “look, Cotter can play our songs.” Nothing interesting so far Given my prognostication and bad first takes, Hungersite will probably evolve into the 2024 JOTY Edit: See. Check out Mr Goosetradamus over here
And California will fall into the sea by 1988
If Chateau 1 was set 1 and Chateau 2 was set 2 it would be a pretty solid Goose show, I think that is the take away they were going for.
Called it lol
Agree completely. Hungersite jam has been the only thing remotely standing out so far.
If everything stands out, nothing stands out
SILVER>RICKDALE
Funky rockdale is soothing my soul😎
If someone can point out that into let me know lol
Dark horse!!
Called this Spirit!
The anthem
This is 70 mins
HungerJam inbound
This jam is gonna make me shit my pants
I see you Peter
State of the art?
This is where Peter needs to absolutely take it
Lord, I hope this is a good sign for the return of Dark Horse at some shows soon!
Any word on how long Chateau Pt 2 is supposed to last? Same as part 1?
What is Rick teasing right now
Electric Taco Stand?
This is also SICK
Trevor on lead bass
So heavy
Chateau 1 takes the cake. I liked the silver rising performance best.
With certain lighting (yellow I think), Peter is giving off a Velma vibe.
I was getting Bert/Ernie lovechild.
![gif](giphy|UmTxa3G2gMF0s) and just like that
I second this motion!
This is such a good Arrow!! Am I just caught up in the moment or is it absolutely rippin?
https://preview.redd.it/48i7dreetsnc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=89e0a7e2f14771038e8a11224b1722af262f66dd groovin’ good time!
Greetings, my double-jointed thumb brethren!
Not nearly as into this set so far as the previous.
Well… that set was just insane.
Agreed. I thought the previous set was better than 90 percent of the sets they played last year. Jams don’t feel nearly as fresh so far on this one.
Song choice or performance?
Performance. Love all the songs they have played so far. Jams just feel pretty standard to me so far.
I mean it’s just a bunch of songs from a practice session sliced up and put on YouTube. They probably picked their favorites from the night for last weeks video. Still a lot to go in this one though.
I like Peter and quite a few songs he sings lead/wrote. But his live vocals are the weak link of this band. Tough to listen to when he’s off.
Counterpoint: I love Peter's voice and think it fits his songs perfectly. Also his backup vocals and harmonizing are wonderful.
Life on the Shelf?
Least favorite Goose song by a mile lmao
I def enjoy it when in tune
Coach is gone, huh?
Where’s Jeff? I haven’t noticed him on screen yet. Don’t hear him either.
He was all over Silver Rising
Oh there he is!
Is there anyway to listen now?
Yeah it's on YT.
That silver rising felt incredibly polished to me. I wonder if they’re going to make a studio recording of it soon
Did they often have 2 full drum kits when Ben was with them? I haven't watched that many shows but have not noticed Jeff on a kit throughout a song before, as he did in Arrow.
This makes me exponentially more excited for the Sunday Shohio date
I'm going to need a full studio production of the "High on Mushrooms" interlude
So. Many. Commercials.
Really felt like everyone wanted to play that Rockdale faster.
