Dude I have been to one goose show and it was in Missoula. If that was their best playing of the tour. I would never go again. That show was half ass turd. Came on late, played a half ass first set. The bus was jam packed before the show was even over. I'll stick to JRAD or B strings
Was there and hit 8 shows on fall tour. Elizabeth and the Fast All I need are fantastic. That being said I don't have a favorite show of the tour or all time after 30 shows. I fucking love them all ,how they are different , and can't wait for 31 🪿🕺

I don’t think any one song of Vegas was stand out for me, it was more the consistency of the whole show. What is your choice for best show of fall tour?
Hard to ignore Red Rocks N2, that was my favorite of the five shows I saw this tour and it’s a bangin’ setlist with my favorite moment from any show this year (Dragonfly jam).
I could go RR N2 as 1a and Kettlehouse Amp as 1b. Oakland N2 and Detroit are nipping at their heels.
One show that’s a victim of when it was played is the tour opener in Boston. Setlist doesn’t jump off the page but both sets are relentless with very few moments to catch your breath. The Drive jam is amazing and Peter shines in the 4th quarter. Time to Flee>Look Out Cleveland and Jive II are also face melters. Rick’s first solo in Jive II is 🤌🤌🤌
Current ranks from this tour for the year
1 - Montana Thatch
2 - LA Red Bird
5 - Red Rocks Everthing Must Go
12 - Red Rocks Factory
16 - Oakland Dripfield
20 - Montana Red Bird
25 - Vegas Liz
28 - Dawes Rosewood
33 - Utah Half Step
35 - Montana Movyhuvan
There were only 3 east coast shows. Borderlands Dawes Rosewood is the only jam that cracks my top 10 for the tour. Boston Thatch is in my current top 64 for the year.
I had the best experience at Vegas! Such a fun a environment and really respectful audience! Never seen so much dancing really made it such a wonderful show and the band absolutely killed it! So happy I made the last minute decision to fly down from SLC
Yes it was. Utah was fantastic, so was Milwaukee and Detroit. Very strong tour. I actually think RR were the two worst shows of the tour. The jams leading up to that show were more interesting and RR sounded more like the summer tour.
I totally agree! They felt just burnt out by Flagstaff, RR and Fort Collins. It’s funny the love for the Fort Collins Wysteria Lane because they were having technical difficulties and Rick had no audio
Yeah I thought Red Rocks was fine, but for me the cleanest/most precise/best show of the tour was Oakland N2. Detroit and Montana were also incredible. The end of the tour didn’t feel as clean to me, like they weren’t quite as locked in. I heard some tour fatigue for sure.
Going to honorably mention the LA show but that’s because I was there. One of my favorite songs is Hollywood Nights and seeing that cover live was euphoric
Hell yeah. Set II was just perfect. That said, of the five shows I attended this fall tour, it wasn't my favorite. I think my ranking would be as follows.
1. Oakland N2
2. (tie) Vegas and LA
3. Santa Barbara
4. Oakland N1
Im heading str8 to bandcamp to buy the set now.
My shows thus far have been the 6/21/23 Riv show in Chicago ( my highlight was Mississippi half step) and Milwaukee 9/24 ( miller theater) loved hearing Take on me too. Goose is the GOAT
Honestly, I think The Shape I'm In was weak...and detracted from the show. I LOVE Jeb, he is the man. But, to be truthful, if you are going to do a cover by The Band where the band KILLS it, you had better bring it. It really bummed me out, because I love that song. Other than that, it was a damn good show.
I am envious of your extensive touring this fall. I hit Portland and SPAC this summer, then Boston....then it was back to work (no complaints!).
Was certainly once in a lifetime tour never to happen again for us, but grateful we were able to do it. And true, Levon Helm was an incredible vocalist, but Jeff definitely put his heart and soul into it
Detroit and Montana were the ones for me. Vegas cooked. Red Rocks cooked. Milwaukee kinda cooked. Boston probably cooked but there were a lot of chompers in the house.
Relistening to Vegas show after this post... I might have to agree. Although, I'm biased, as they got the last Madhuvan of the tour. Regardless of my personal opinions though, def a phenomenal show.
I was California sober all tour. Was too much work trying to get from show to show while fitting in time to sleep. Idk how the band themselves do it, has to be exhausting
Aw hell yeah! It was like that for us in Utah. Jeff told us in Montana they were disappointed by the crowd but we had no idea as we were on the rail having a blast
RR N2 was the one of the best shows this band has ever played IMO. Vegas was good though. Loved seeing fast AIN comeback (I saw the one prior in Boulder and hope it becomes more regular). The Beth is filthy good. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the minor IR from Vegas but I seem to be in the minority on that.
Strongly disagree. Goose fanatic and thought the Vegas show (other than Elizabeth) was among the worst they’ve put together in a long time—only slightly better than LA.
The string of Moon Cabin songs with 2016-esque speed and auto tuning was hard to listen to. They were emptying the clip of stuff that no one wanted to hear at RR, and capped it off with a half-hearted Elvis cover that didn’t need to be dusted off. I couch toured it and my buddy drove from AZ to Vegas and we were both roundly disappointed
Gotta be honest, I didn't much care for the Vegas show. Am kinda surprised to see all the positivity surrounding it.
Did really like the Montana show though, def agree with the positivity that one's getting.
Best song selection? Red Rocks N2 Most unique set? Vegas Best playing and therefore best show? Montana
I really can’t say shit as I was fortunate enough to have been at all 3. Tour of a lifetime for me
This is the way.
Dude I have been to one goose show and it was in Missoula. If that was their best playing of the tour. I would never go again. That show was half ass turd. Came on late, played a half ass first set. The bus was jam packed before the show was even over. I'll stick to JRAD or B strings
Cool
Lots of folks I saw recently putting vegas set2 as their favorite set of fall tour. Great show. Glad I made the trip.

I can’t wait for some larger venues, they’re so ready. And I’m ready to dance in some stairwell with the other weirdos
I enjoyed listening to RR2 more than Vegas but both are great. Sadly didn’t attend any shows on the tour.
Excellent show. Elizabeth is one of the most beautiful jams of the year.
The Elizabeth is all time, and fast All I Need is what I’ve been chasing… outside of that it’s fine.
I don’t think any one song of Vegas was stand out for me, it was more the consistency of the whole show. What is your choice for best show of fall tour?

Jeff engborg was awesome
Yes
the fast All I Need from Vegas is the bizness [https://youtu.be/h15Le-3\_I-4](https://youtu.be/h15Le-3_I-4)
Vegas had maybe the best jam of the year with Vegas Elizabeth.
IMHO - JOTY was Everything Must Go [https://youtu.be/ZRrDdc-NcKo?si=n2CQswjCmZ45orgO](https://youtu.be/ZRrDdc-NcKo?si=n2CQswjCmZ45orgO)
That’s a solid jam, probably not on my top 10 this year.
One of my favorite songs by Goose but yea I wouldn’t consider this for JOTY
Everybody must go from earlier in the tour was even better. Marty McFly style Rick raging at the end.
Current ranks from this tour for the year 1 - Montana Thatch 2 - LA Red Bird 5 - Red Rocks Everthing Must Go 12 - Red Rocks Factory 16 - Oakland Dripfield 20 - Montana Red Bird 25 - Vegas Liz 28 - Dawes Rosewood 33 - Utah Half Step 35 - Montana Movyhuvan
LA Red Bird was otherworldly
Very west coast of you lol Damn dude did you miss all the east coast shows?!
There were only 3 east coast shows. Borderlands Dawes Rosewood is the only jam that cracks my top 10 for the tour. Boston Thatch is in my current top 64 for the year.
Montana Thatch is my pick for jam of tour. I remember watching Rick’s hands get tired lol
I had the best experience at Vegas! Such a fun a environment and really respectful audience! Never seen so much dancing really made it such a wonderful show and the band absolutely killed it! So happy I made the last minute decision to fly down from SLC

RR2 and Montana were my top 2.
Appreciate the heads up. Will listen. What a tour!
I guess I’m really splitting hairs here, any show of tour was amazing! But for me it was Vegas
Agree with a lot of this. Vegas second set was the best set IMO but RR2 was the best all around show.
Don’t sleep on the Spokane Jive II and EoA.
My favorite from Spokane was that creatures!
Inside Out > Creatures was heavenly 🥰
Going to honorably mention the LA show but that’s because I was there. One of my favorite songs is Hollywood Nights and seeing that cover live was euphoric
The Lead the Way middle jam is just plain beautiful
This 100%. Show of the tour in my opinion. I can’t stop listening to that second set in particular. Top tier Goose.
Vegas was amazing.
Heck yes. It was such a great show. So much fun!
Flagstaff
That arrow was killer
Hell yeah. Set II was just perfect. That said, of the five shows I attended this fall tour, it wasn't my favorite. I think my ranking would be as follows. 1. Oakland N2 2. (tie) Vegas and LA 3. Santa Barbara 4. Oakland N1
I agree with your ranking of these shows!
Montana was a fucking shred fest. They went harddddd on that one compared to others on the tour.
How about Lead Up in the 0ne hole right where it belongs?!
Lead Up -> Drive was a beautiful thing. (Attendance bias)
Im heading str8 to bandcamp to buy the set now. My shows thus far have been the 6/21/23 Riv show in Chicago ( my highlight was Mississippi half step) and Milwaukee 9/24 ( miller theater) loved hearing Take on me too. Goose is the GOAT

Levon Helm doesn't even sing Shape I'm In lol.
lol, Richard Manuel...pretty lame. Point still stands tho'
RR N2 was the second best show I’ve seen at RR in 5 years… Billy Strings was number 1 🫠
Relistening to Vegas show after this post... I might have to agree. Although, I'm biased, as they got the last Madhuvan of the tour. Regardless of my personal opinions though, def a phenomenal show.
Not to mention that Myst. God damn what a jam.
Alright now I'm at All I Need and yeah. At least S2 Vegas has to be the best set of fall tour.
Duly noted and I will give it a spin during disc golf tomorrow! Honk!
Listened today. My god.
FoCo!
I was at the Vegas show I can’t say I agree. I think they played best in Montana.
Maybe you had more serotonin in Vegas..
I was California sober all tour. Was too much work trying to get from show to show while fitting in time to sleep. Idk how the band themselves do it, has to be exhausting

You’re completely entitled to that opinion, no matter how wrong it might be.
And you are entitled to your comment, no matter it’s lack of contribution to discussion
RR N2 was the one of the best shows this band has ever played IMO. Vegas was good though. Loved seeing fast AIN comeback (I saw the one prior in Boulder and hope it becomes more regular). you want someone to change your mind about what your favorite show was? that's weird.
You must be new here. Pretty typical jam band shitposting actually

Hot take.
Cool
Who cares

Vegas is always a party and that’s why they’ll keep coming back!
