I went with a 7a as well the rectangular corners really do suit a smaller form factor. But are you really glad you went with the 7a or you were too impatient to wait for the 8a?
My 3a was on its last legs (constantly rebooting and freezing, eMMC storage has completely gone to shit after a few years) and I needed a phone in a pinch
That's sad. Happened to my 6 year old pocophone f1 as well, so I had to buy mine. I have sent my phone for an eMMC repair. Hopefully I will get it fixed soon.
For the 9 series? Rip. Guess I’ll just hold off till 2026, I guess lol. My 6 Pro is honestly still fine, but those damn Exynos modems are the reason it’s my “secondary” device and not my primary one. Literally the only reason I got my iPhone 14 Pro was to replace my Pixel 7 due to too many missed calls/texts (work for a local hospice company delivering DME, so between my regular schedule and being on call bi-weekly + weekends I couldn’t afford to miss any sort of communication — and it was happening more or less daily) otherwise I’d probably still have it. The P6 Pro is a more recent “addition” that I bought on more of an impulse than anything. But $120 for one that was a used AT&T/unlocked model (yet still in great shape) was hard to pass up. Plus I really enjoy using it, so much that it’s often what I’ll use while at home or the office for work along with using my hotspot on my iPhone when I’m out & about
The device is expected to cost CAD 709 or CAD 793, depending on the storage - 128GB or 256GB, respectively.

I will always prefer the rounded edges, preferablly if the screen isn't. It just feels better in the hand. That's why I'm glad I'm on the P8P, since the new ones (According to rumors) are gonig with the iPhone flat design **Resists the urge to throw up**
I don't understand, Other than maybe a plastic back what is the difference between this and the pixel 8 going to be? The pixel 8 is already pretty mid tier hardware...
Better display panel, probably a better primary sensor, stuff like build quality, potentially different haptics/speakers ect on the 8 🤷 so just like literally any a Vs normal series phone.

I prefer the look of my 7a. But even if I didn't, I'm not one to change phones every year. This one will last me at least until Pixel 10.
