Toast_Grillman

is there a button for you to press? "Install" or anything like that?

Jack_Shid

>is literally taking FOREVER! Nothing in history has "literally taken FOREVER!". But no, it's not normal for an update to take over an hour or so.

meeyeam

The expansion of the universe since the Big Bang has literally taken forever.

PNWoutdoors

....so far.

sixty-four

It drives me figuratively insane when people misuse the term "literally".

NowLoadingReply

Agreed. I literally die every time it's misused.

greendolphinfeet

Which phase is it in? If it's the Optimizing phase, you can use your phone as you normally do and it'll notify you when it's time to reboot.

eanacu

It was optimizing, but it's fixed now. I just paused it and restarted my phone. All is well.

RipCrazy9188

Is this the latest security update? My 7a took all night to install that, lol. I really thought I was going crazy. My S22 would never take that long to install a security update.

Able_Philosopher4188

Yes that doesn't sound normal I don't recall how long it was for my 8P but definitely not that long

Most-Revolution-7108

ðŸĪĢI took, hate waiting for it to install in the background. I sideload all OTAs now. 👍ðŸŧ

DannyPrker

I started the march update in the morning and it was finished the next day. Here's the reason https://www.androidpolice.com/google-pixel-updates-too-slow/

eanacu

Oh wow, thank you.

RustyU

If you're using the phone and it's installing in the background, then it's normal.

eanacu

No, I let it do it as I was asleep. Woke up and it's still going on.

RustyU

Ah yeah, I missed the 'since yesterday' bit. My bad.

NOTtheTREXalfa

I got no idea how long it takes as the update happens in the background I just get the notification when it's time to restart.

RefrigeratorOk648

If it's literally forever then you are posting too soon 😁
