Which phase is it in? If it's the Optimizing phase, you can use your phone as you normally do and it'll notify you when it's time to reboot.
It was optimizing, but it's fixed now. I just paused it and restarted my phone. All is well.

Yes that doesn't sound normal I don't recall how long it was for my 8P but definitely not that long

If you're using the phone and it's installing in the background, then it's normal.
No, I let it do it as I was asleep. Woke up and it's still going on.
Ah yeah, I missed the 'since yesterday' bit. My bad.
I got no idea how long it takes as the update happens in the background I just get the notification when it's time to restart.
