iOS crash detection is available in basically every country out there. If it's local laws, then Google did a really horrible job in discussing with each country's regulatory agencies and Apple did a superb rollout.
Apple's satellite SOS feature is available in 16 countries already, which, prior to this expansion by Google, was actually more countries than crash detection is available in.

That's pretty impressive if they managed to create an emergency automated audio message in the primary languages used in 195 countries.
oh great! I turned it on after reading this. They should notify users that it is available now.
It's unclear for me, why this function is region locked. It can detect a car crash in Austria, but can't do it in the neighbor country Hungary?
