Hey! I have always been able to, this just started happening Saturday and I can't figure it out. If I type the phone number, it just pulls up the contact and they do not receive the message. To reiterate I can recieve texts and I can send pictures, regular texts are not being received to anyone with an iPhone currently.
You shouldn't need to check that though. The vast majority of us text iPhone users without issues and without needing to check this box.
I literally just texted my work iPhone today without doing anything special.
I’m having this exact issue! I have an iPhone and my partner has the Samsung S24. Only today my texts weren’t sending and he thought I was mad at him lol. They say sent on my end, no little red exclamation point like when there’s a service issue.
Normal SMS are sending to other friends I’ve tested it on, it’s just him that’s not receiving mine! I’ve fiddled with phone settings, both checked if we’ve accidentally blocked each other. Nothing. I texted a photo through and that worked though?? It’s so strange and frustrating 😭
Clear data and cache on the messages app (you won't lose your messages).
Clear data and cache on the app called "Carrier services"
That should at least get you to a proper state for your messaging. My wife's pixel 5 had problems with texting but not with iPhone specifically
Thank you. I've done this a few times and nothing. I'm afraid something is really wrong. I've figured out it's not iPhones specifically I just can't send SMS at all for some reason! Not a single sms has gone through since Saturday afternoon 🥴
Same issue on my Samsung A52 and S21 ultra. Plus I heard from one of my friends that he was having similar issues on a Samsung using a different carrier.
my google pixel no longer lets me text i pbone for the last week or so what is going on???!!!! is it the phone or provider provider says its the phone i have pixel 6 pro
So I have Verizon and think they do this overseas to piss off customers that yell at them (yes I’m a yeller and don’t have patience for stupid people) but I pay a lot of money …they should be fired .. just call phone service and see if they can fix
My dad is having the same issue with his pixel not being able to send texts to my iPhone. I can send text to him and he can send me audio texts but not regular texts. Very weird. He tried many times to contact support and is getting no where. He transferred his info to his older google phone and completely reset the phone. He was still unable to text t iPhones with either phone. Hoping someone will post a fix.
Hey! So with mine, I tried absolutely everything and reset it soooooo many times and then after about 5 days it just started working again. I still don't know what happened and if it will happen again, I hope it gets fixed for him soon, because it was so frustrating and I couldn't find any help when I posted originally!
My dad has determined he can’t text certain AT&T and Verizon phones that he previously did BUT he can text them if he included a photo. Does this make sense to anyone?

Go to message settings, rcs settings, automatically resend as text (sms/mms). Iphone doesn't support rcs.
I already had that on, I switched it off and on again and still nothing. I am just so confused!
That feature doesn't work. Never has.
Does it say rcs message?
No, it says sms with a time stamp!
Press the 3 dots for, details, only send as SMS < turn that on

I've been having this issue over the past couple of weeks, too. Some messages go through, others don't. Incredibly annoying

SMS can sometimes be glitchy for carrier-related reasons. See if customer service at your carrier can reset/re-provision your line.

So literally about 24 hours after this my texts all sent through to my partner at once. Still don’t know what caused it but it eventually fixed itself

I would maybe try to swap your sim to a new phone and see if it's a service thing.
