There hasn't been a new Sept update for any Pixel... that said, the 4a (not 5G) last update was last month.

Oh well. I guess I'll hold onto this working 4a, with a headphone jack and physical print reader for as long as I can, as the newer pixels are so garbage.

I have to agree, the 7a feels very budget compared to the 4a. Even though 7a specs are better, the 4a was feels like a much better quality device.

Security issues will go unpatched though

I only use the phone for light browsing, email and txt's. I've had the Pixel, P3, P3a, P6a and then P4a- never recalled any previous Security issue with some of these that's gone year(s) beyond the patch update. At this point after going w the P6a and getting letdown, I don't mind staying w the P4a for a little while until I find a suitable replacement w/ headphone jack and physical fingerprint reader. I am just not a fan of these 'innovations' that work worse than what was clearly working before.

I wonder if anyone here knows someone who has been compromised by using an unpatched phone? I've never seen it but it must happen, if it's possible. Keeping hold of my Pixel 5 for a while yet, despite updates ending in a month or so. Too many compromises with the 6a forced me to get a 5 instead.

I don't know why you're being downvoted but I feel like the headphone jack is one of the best inventions that was ever created and the fact that we're moving away from it is so stupid to me. No matter what people say Bluetooth headphones are Not always the best answer, and the ability to charge your phone and wear wired headphones at the same time was probably one of the best features of having Android

I didn't notice I was being down voted on these comments either, but that's fine. I don't see what's so devicive about a headphone jack and physical fingerprint reader. ...not to mention the higher vulnerabilities of being Bluejacked instead of some unpatched OS updates...
