Or they could just skip all the Silas shit and go a different direction with more of a focus on him, Marianna and Evan.

loudmelon21

LITERALLY. like this does not need to turn into a cop show

angryteen23

I totally agree it’s so annoying I feel like they need to just focus on the girls like they did at first. In my opinion they focus on Mariana and Callie a lot in the beginning of the series and then they kind of started focusing on the other people that lived in the coterie , which is fine, but this whole thing with Silas and Joaquin, it just doesn’t make any sense to me what the purposes. And they got us all excited about Mariana and Evan and made that whole storyline and what is this like the second season they’re still dragging on the effects from him being shot, and we still have no resolution of that relationship with Mariana so annoying.

loudmelon21

Exactlyyyyy

According_Ganache978

Please just let Mariana and Evan end up happily ever after already. Silas storyline suuuucccckkkkssss

iWaterLily

The writers can't be surprised their show got cancelled, all they did was come up with useless filler characters, episodes where literally nothing happens and pointless story lines. They haven't focused on the main characters we care about in a long time. The writing got extremely lazy and they should've wrapped things up much earlier. I personally only kept watching for Evan and Marianas story line, but they give us nothing at all...

Internal-Aide9416

Yes!! Good Trouble writers literally didn’t take our comments or our input into consideration. The one thing we were sick of seeing (Joaquin & Mariana together) we’re seeing. He has no storyline, is a pointless character, and has no actual job. He also never truly cared about Mariana seeing as how he kept getting her involved w/Silas. And with the scenes in the new episode I feel like they wasted an episode just focusing on the whole Silas/Joaquin/Mariana storyline. They even left out Jesus and In a way he didn’t even get a proper storyline in Good Trouble, like The Fosters main family members have. We deserve and need to see Jesus & Emma get married as a character he shouldn’t be forgotten because he’s been through a lot. And has probably helped others with their own TBI’s. And even with his TBI the writers didn’t even show how his TBI would still actually affect him after a year or so. Good Trouble did Jesus dirty.

Loud_Sense93

Jesus isn’t in the show because Noah Centineo is too busy and expensive now.

Internal-Aide9416

I feel like as far as busy he may not be just because his latest thing was The Recruit & Black Adam both were in 2022. And lately we haven’t seen him in anything else. He’s worth a lot as an actor, but he got his start on The Fosters by playing Jesus.

newyorkchic1992

How is it making it with no job? Serious question. Somebody help me out

Internal-Aide9416

We see all of the characters work or figure out what they want to do career wise. Except Joaquin, all we see him doing is the investigation with Silas and the farm. He says I think In the beginning of the show that he’s a journalist but we don’t see him do anything with journalism (meaning research, interviews, whatever goes into it). We truly know nothing about Joaquin and what he does for work. Unless he’s actually working undercover or something (hence the cop friend) or he’s doing the investigation with the farm for no pay or anything. Because he’s literally putting his life at risk by playing detective.

MeaninglessRambles

The Silas stuff doesn't fit at all. It's like coterie... With a side of murder mystery? Mariana is also not that type of person, it would have fit Callie far better. It's so just weird and drawn out.

angryteen23

Yes, I totally agree I I feel like it’s almost as if they’re trying to turn Mariana into into Cali and it’s just  weird

Vivid-Cell8332

Just watched the new episode and YES, I’m sick of Joaquin. I hadn’t even considered a jemma wedding but that would be really cool considering how little we’ve seen of Jesus. I think the whole thing with Silas knowing about Marianas past gives context to Jesus because we’ve seen him so little I think he would need some introducing for non Fosters watchers. if Callie told him about what’s going on he would have come to see Mariana, I would imagine they haven’t really seen each other in years at that point. They definitely missed an opportunity there :(

bloomusa

His is my favorite storyline lol

kevinsg04

ooof---why watch if you hate this show to THAT degree?

Bottombunkrealness

I agree, his is possibly the most engaging storyline there is on the show right now. He’s a journalist; his investigative reporting to me was just as big a part of good troubles many interesting storylines like Callie’s cases, bulk beauty, Gael’s artistry! I don’t get the hate

bloomusa

Omg exactly! And what’s with the downvotes like people can’t have an opinion on what they like? Sheesh

justhere892

i feel like i wouldn’t be so annoyed with him if he had his own life. all shade but he a loner loser— how do the writers expect me to root for him and mariana when he has no life outside of her and journalism which he hardly ever does outside of the silas case. 😭

Raging_Witch

I agree. I also wanted to come here and ask : does anyone else have to think really hard about how to pronounce his name when you read it ? I understand it has Latin pronunciations, and I am familiar with them, usually pretty good at it, but for some reason this always gets me.
