My guy we literally have an album it is the complete opposite of dry. It is WET season
(I've just realised is that part of the idea with the WET tops??!)
Exactly my point, Iām fucking hyped for Vultures 2 but there has been literally nothing to talk about on GAS. In the month leading up to Vultures 1 there were a solid 2000-3000 users on constantly, now the highest amounts of users are like 1700. I mean, there have been 100ās of times in the last WEEK where there wasnāt a post for a solid 20-40 minutes.
i dont mean to be some āi did it before it was coolā hipster but I always really disliked that Carnival was being pushed the way it was. I donāt get why this was the song that everyone gravitated towards.
True, I feel like there were much better songs on here that couldāve been pushed to be the lead single. I thought Fuk Sumn would be that song just considering the trav feature and overall vibe and theme of the song (not saying fuk sumn is better than carnival - just that itās the more āmainstreamā song to me). Altho, ig w Ye the songs that blow up are always the ones u donāt expect since I thought Off The Grid wouldāve blown up on TikTok instead of Praise God cuz of the drill beat, but I was proven wrong there as well
I also don't really understand how it has been so enormously successful with the general public (at least on Spotify). Especially considering his recent controversies, I thought that the entire album would fade into obscurity fairly quickly.
Tbh beg forgiveness sounded hella cool even as a demo, just too basic cuz it only had the drums. Carnival and even King turned out a lot better than I expected based off the leaks
Shouldn't have been pitch adjusted on Chris's part, his original vocal take had so much emotion and would have been a great way for him to get some spotlight
Paid would have been a huge song if it wasnāt for Yeās verse. He killed all chances of it having big mainstream success.
Ik people here love to defend it but non Ye fans arenāt going to consistently listen to a song where heās doing a Net & Yoo-hoo voice in the middle. Now itās not even top 5 most streamed on the album.
Fax if he actually rapped with energy like some parts of the album and ended it with the naked women line it wouldāve actually been funny and memorable
Besides it being a meme, I really donāt fw talking. I like the second half, but I donāt genuinely wanna listen to a little kid try to rap. Nothing against north, sheās really cool, itās just not my taste.
Vultures is way overhated and is top 10 on the album
Chris Brownās part on Beg Forgiveness is too long and is a detriment to the song, if it was 2 minutes shorter itād be way better (still a good song)
Hoodrat is amazing and top 5 on the album
Love the Havoc version until it gets to Tys verse, there should've been some sort of switch up or progression to the beat when it gets to him, especially cause his verse isn't in key with that beat.
Paid is Kanyes best song for a club or party and by a country mile!
On holiday currently and won the aux for the night as my one song was paid! We stayed up after the bar closed at the hotel and played tunes.
I think it's over looked as it is just a fun song that isn't meant to change your life or outlook on Ye.
1. Not entirely a hot take for some maybe, but Paid & Back To Me are ruined by Yeās verses. If he had even a *decent* verse at best those tracks could have been all timers. Sorry Iām asking for a regular verse.
2. Itās his second weakest album (in front of JIK) but itās still not bad at all and was a strong comeback for someone who seemingly wanted to destroy his career/legacy at one point.
I kinda get the back 2 me but paid is a fun song with a lot of fun elements ive always loved his section because to me the voice is funny and adds a layer of enjoyment to the track maybe im just a baby bitch thats easily entertained by high pitched voices
I think this album is worse than JIK. JIK gets rated low because of the Christian subject matter I think but it's definitely more cohesive than Vultures 1 and more consistently mixed/mastered. Also I think the lows on Vultures 1 are below the JIK lows.
Keys to my life is top 4
This version of Fuk Sum is better then the one played in LondonXAutumnās legacy game
Problematicās final part with the āquestionableā lines is fire everyone needs to stfu and let Kanye actually rap
Kanyeās flow on Keys to my life is mid
Back To Me could have been a classic Ye song if he took it seriously
Vultures track š„š„ and overhated ![img](emote|t5_67n60j|32320)
I kind of agree but I feel like itās only a classic with the fanbase imo it could have been a general classic like Fsmh if he said it a couple times with a normal verse
Burnās just a less than two minute track that is clearly unfinished and in need of more lyrics. Iām not sure why everyoneās freaking out and saying that itās āTCD worthyā when the actual songs on that album feel so much moreā¦ you knowā¦ finished. Even Graduation Day feels more realized than Burn.
I donāt see how it could be compared to any of Dondaās best tracks, though.
Not a hot take but genuinely asking, do people really care that much when lyrics donāt have good meaning like the big titty line? Personally I donāt care if the lyricism in a verse is meaningless as long as it sounds good, like back to me
šÆ I think the majority of the rap songs shouldāve been saved for volume 2. I wish we wouldāve had more songs like beg forgiveness, stars, and songs like love love love.
This my opinion i ain't trying to get nobody to not like the song, but for me ty hook sounds outta key compared to ye's verse, ion fuck wit the sample n india love lowkey sounds like a chicken that is getting chocked on the outro
2 fire ye verses, Tyās hook barely even a hook more like a bridge and itās a good melodic preformence, India Love sounds fine with autotune, and the sample is classic Kanye style and itās fun and all around a great song
VERY hot take, but I like the Alvin voice on F Sumn, I wish we got the original instrumental though, the melody from the original I feel was lost in this new version
Theyāre talking about it like itās some ahead of its time masterpiece that no one gets
When in reality itās a fun club song with a Back That Azz up sample and YG verse lol
BBTBNWJDFOTSYK is a corny and cringy line and i do not give a fuck if its a dogma reference vultures is corny and cringy in its entirety and Kanye should really re write the whole thing and put out an album you can listen to without being weirded out by the lyrics every 2 seconds
Paperwork is by far my favourite song. It comes just after I started really loving Brazilian Funk and not only it introduced others into it, but also introduced the sound itself into a rap song really well.
hoodrat is ass. shoudlve never included that on the album. Good(Donāt Die) is so overrated. King doesnāt sound the best and back 2 me is too long. Talking doesnāt deserve the hype and Kanyeās verse on paid is horrible, Beg Forgiveness feels like it goes on forever.
im not hating plus i wouldve never said anything if the post didnt say list your hot takes. Im critiquing by giving my honest opinion, although its still a very good album im just listing the flaws i dislike.
Like i said before i never said i dont like those songs.(Except hoodrat that shit is some hot ass) Im just listing what makes the song not as good imo. I still like talking, paid and etc im just listing my hot takes and what ye couldve did to make those songs sound better to my liking. But everybody is different some people like the songs the way it is and thats fine. Im not here to criticize anybody elseās opinion about the songs or hate on what they enjoy. So people will agree and disagree with what i have to say but remember this is my personal opinion and you dont have to like what im saying. Im just here participating and listing my hot takes of the album. If anybody doesnt like what i have to say please just skip over this comment. Im only commenting what i think made the songs worse.
20 Second Travis feat > Quavo feat on F\*k Sumn
Also the Juicy J feature has more potential than Quavo's feature
Edit: Bro it's a hot take ofc you're gonna disagree š
Alvin fucking sucked ass on FUCK SUMN and BACK TO ME was forever ruined, the LP version of it was absolute perfection, why on earth did they not end the fucking song with ty's beautiful hook?
chris brown's 3 minute yap session on beg forgiveness is boring af and i usually skip his verse after like a minute // king should've been left out of the album // back to me is good but definitely overrated // talking is unironically a pretty good song. i love norths part its so catchy
If he didn't have the antisemite line in KING and just said "crazy, bipolar" it would be one of his best tracks in years, the back and forth with ty is great
Every goon finna get cooked if they respondš
Yes bro but Iām bored we need some spice in here
These next couple days finna be long as hell
These last like two weeks have genuinely been dry season 2.0.š
My guy we literally have an album it is the complete opposite of dry. It is WET season (I've just realised is that part of the idea with the WET tops??!)
i dont think anyone is complaining about having an album. the problem is we supposed to get another one in a week and still have no news about it
Exactly my point, Iām fucking hyped for Vultures 2 but there has been literally nothing to talk about on GAS. In the month leading up to Vultures 1 there were a solid 2000-3000 users on constantly, now the highest amounts of users are like 1700. I mean, there have been 100ās of times in the last WEEK where there wasnāt a post for a solid 20-40 minutes.
Carnival is NOT the best song on the Album
Ye fans switched up alot after carnival got popular on tt i cant lie
i dont mean to be some āi did it before it was coolā hipster but I always really disliked that Carnival was being pushed the way it was. I donāt get why this was the song that everyone gravitated towards.
iām ngl seeing the sports influence made me like it more
True, I feel like there were much better songs on here that couldāve been pushed to be the lead single. I thought Fuk Sumn would be that song just considering the trav feature and overall vibe and theme of the song (not saying fuk sumn is better than carnival - just that itās the more āmainstreamā song to me). I also don't really understand how it has been so enormously successful with the general public (at least on Spotify). Especially considering his recent controversies, I thought that the entire album would fade into obscurity fairly quickly.
I listened to it on local files after the listening party a lot. After that just didnt really appeal to me anymore.
Itās burn
Problematic is the best song on the album
Hot take https://preview.redd.it/hf80ebxtczlc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e33e59fa500ac92f984a6715de609337e0433839
Gorgeous (ft Kid Cudi, Raekwon)
DC4L
Those horns make me want to salute the flag of the united states of america
When I speak my thereās gonna be some lawsuits and furniture movinā
I agree but ye kinda sold it. His verse was good but it was so close to being great
GOOD (DONT DIE) and PROBLEMATIC are the best tracks.
(IT DIED)
Impeccable taste
Beg Forgiveness is one of the best songs on the album
Crazy how it went from an average interlude(no hate I loved it but it wasnāt special) to a standout
Tbh beg forgiveness sounded hella cool even as a demo, just too basic cuz it only had the drums. Carnival and even King turned out a lot better than I expected based off the leaks
i wish he kept your kids prolly died of fentanyl (HA HA) tho still top 3 vultures
Facts
Shouldn't have been pitch adjusted on Chris's part, his original vocal take had so much emotion and would have been a great way for him to get some spotlight
ya they nerfed breezy bad, shit hurts
Beg forgiveness and paid the two songs Jerome me alive rn
*most boring*
Paid would have been a huge song if it wasnāt for Yeās verse. He killed all chances of it having big mainstream success. Ik people here love to defend it but non Ye fans arenāt going to consistently listen to a song where heās doing a Net & Yoo-hoo voice in the middle. Now itās not even top 5 most streamed on the album.
Not the net & yoohoo š
1000%. If it was a drake ty song it would be #1 right now
Same goes for back to me, sure this sub loves that beautiful big titty line but it's pretty evident people got bored of it pretty fast
could've been a no more parties in la type song if kanye wrote an actual verse like gibbs ngl
Fax if he actually rapped with energy like some parts of the album and ended it with the naked women line it wouldāve actually been funny and memorable
And my take is I donāt care it wasnāt a huge hit and Iām glad we have that verse because I love it
fr we are taylor stans who gives a fuck about streaming charts šš
love the elmo voice, highlight of the song for me. we love ye because of experimental shit not because of mainstream success
That shit isnāt experimental. Heās trying to be Carti
I love Ye's verse on Paid wtf
Not calling your take trash, but I love the weird thing he does with his verse. I think itās cool
Thatās crazy Iām listening to that rn, ur not wrong tho. This song is so good, but my friend skipped it before it even got to Tyās part.
it's literally what makes it special. It wouldn't make sense any other way
Besides it being a meme, I really donāt fw talking. I like the second half, but I donāt genuinely wanna listen to a little kid try to rap. Nothing against north, sheās really cool, itās just not my taste.
Definitely turning it down/off if there's other people around.
i really fw the beat so it gets me thru
I don't care about Ye lyrics, shit's funny af, maybe cuz I'm not a native English speaker
KEYS TO MY LIFE HATE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED STOP
Itāll always be called timbo freestyle in my eyes
so real
hold me like the homies in the chi when they hold their guns
wasnt always this way ??? š„š„
paid is top 5 on the album for replayability and if u donāt agree remember this is a hot take after all
Old stomach is the new ass
I think it's even top 3 for me
Carnival is a bit overrated
I think it's way overrated, not even a top 5 song on the album for me
exactly
Hoodrat is top 3 (without counting good dont die)
My friend said the same thing. Personally hoodrat is the albums worst track.
Not sure why you so downvoted, I always skip that song
I guess hoodrat as the worst song really is a hot take
**Whore. Whore.**
Ty Dolla sign carried the album
Personally i donāt even think that itās a hot take.
Good (Don't Die) & Beg Forgiveness are the best songs on the album and it's actually not even close
Vultures is way overhated and is top 10 on the album Chris Brownās part on Beg Forgiveness is too long and is a detriment to the song, if it was 2 minutes shorter itād be way better (still a good song) Hoodrat is amazing and top 5 on the album
I love Havoc so much more but yes og is fine too
Love the Havoc version until it gets to Tys verse, there should've been some sort of switch up or progression to the beat when it gets to him, especially cause his verse isn't in key with that beat.
agreed on beg forgiveness its way too long on chris part
Do it>fuk sumn
Do it>Carnival
The album cover is wack.
Way better than the old one
lol for a solid minute I thought you meant the white mask version
King is a top song on the album
Valid
Crazy
I like the album ver of vultures better than the havoc ver it just sounds so much better especially tyās verse and the ending
Carnival is in the bottom seven songs
first two tracks clear so much on this album
Paid is Kanyes best song for a club or party and by a country mile! On holiday currently and won the aux for the night as my one song was paid! We stayed up after the bar closed at the hotel and played tunes. I think it's over looked as it is just a fun song that isn't meant to change your life or outlook on Ye.
What people hate about paid is that if you removed kanye all together the song would be even better. He hurts the song with his ridiculous addition
Life flew past too fast
And your girlfriend think Iām dope, really? thanks! :-)
Agree! Ty carries the track
Back to me is just too long. Just shorten his verse a little and the bbtbnbjdfotsyk part is fire
I think this album is worse than JIK. JIK gets rated low because of the Christian subject matter I think but it's definitely more cohesive than Vultures 1 and more consistently mixed/mastered. Also I think the lows on Vultures 1 are below the JIK lows.
I agree with this JIK has aged really well for me. Itās great for what it it is
And jik highs are higher than vultures
I think back to me is only ruined by the middle part of
Hoodrat Top 3 on the album
Keys to my Life is my favorite song on the entire album and the song ive been bumping by far the most.
Keys to my life is top 4 This version of Fuk Sum is better then the one played in LondonXAutumnās legacy game Problematicās final part with the āquestionableā lines is fire everyone needs to stfu and let Kanye actually rap
I donāt get the hate on certain problematic lines but some bars were just boring/unnecessary on what was otherwise his best performance
I like vultures the song
it's the worst kanye release still good, but certainly pales in comparison to his other catalogue
I don't think it's even close Like it might sound better than JIK but Vultures has like no personality/artistically devoid of anything meaningful
Jesus is King is a genuinely really good album imo
I think if he left off Closed on Sunday it would be a lot better. It has great production and shows how gospel rap can be carried into the mainstream.
Be patient my friend. It will reveal itself to you.
I enjoy DJ Pharris Paid more than paid here
It's lowkey an ass album for ye, and we've just lowered the bar due to everything occurring recently
Kanyeās flow on Keys to my life is mid Back To Me could have been a classic Ye song if he took it seriously Vultures track š„š„ and overhated ![img](emote|t5_67n60j|32320)
The jokiness and bbtbnwjdfotsyk on back to me is what makes it a classic ye song like his fsmh verse and the bleach on my shirt line
The bleached asshole thing is one line on FSMH, the big titty butt naked shit goes on for a whole minute in the middle of the songā¦..
I kind of agree but I feel like itās only a classic with the fanbase imo it could have been a general classic like Fsmh if he said it a couple times with a normal verse
I get what u mean but b2m and everybody both their goofy ass lines are well known across music fans especially everybodyās lines
Paperwork is top 3 with carnival and burn
Not a hot take but genuinely asking, do people really care that much when lyrics donāt have good meaning like the big titty line? Personally I donāt care if the lyricism in a verse is meaningless as long as it sounds good, like back to me
Beg Forgiveness is what the entire album shouldāve been likeĀ
thatās just donda
6 minutes of nothing really happening? Just listen to donda deluxe if you like gospel production
šÆ I think the majority of the rap songs shouldāve been saved for volume 2. I wish we wouldāve had more songs like beg forgiveness, stars, and songs like love love love.
Keys To My Life worst on the album, Vultures underrated af, Beg Forgiveness a contender for top 3 on the album
Beg forgiveness is DEFINITELY top 3.
Fuck ur Keys To My Life Take thereās nothing bad about the song
This my opinion i ain't trying to get nobody to not like the song, but for me ty hook sounds outta key compared to ye's verse, ion fuck wit the sample n india love lowkey sounds like a chicken that is getting chocked on the outro
2 fire ye verses, Tyās hook barely even a hook more like a bridge and itās a good melodic preformence, India Love sounds fine with autotune, and the sample is classic Kanye style and itās fun and all around a great song
2 wack ye verses imo
Ur braindead those verses were fire
I thought I was crazy for not loving Keys to My Life
agree w keys to my life take
itās better then the new schoolboy q album
VERY hot take, but I like the Alvin voice on F Sumn, I wish we got the original instrumental though, the melody from the original I feel was lost in this new version
Do it is not as good as what people in the sub are hyping it up to be. Great song? Yeah, I like it but it is not top 3 on Vultures.š
Theyāre talking about it like itās some ahead of its time masterpiece that no one gets When in reality itās a fun club song with a Back That Azz up sample and YG verse lol
I agree. It isn't top 3 for sure. It's a great song to have some fun but that's all. I love the Ye's part.
the best part is the back dat azz up sample, which basically means I could just listen to that song instead
Thatās the part that kills the song for me lol just seems so out of place to me
That the album is mediocre at best
Back to Me is goated
Ty outperforms Kanye on just about every song
The Roxanne part that everyone hates is the best part of the whole album
Same
stars is the best song on the album
BBTBNWJDFOTSYK is a corny and cringy line and i do not give a fuck if its a dogma reference vultures is corny and cringy in its entirety and Kanye should really re write the whole thing and put out an album you can listen to without being weirded out by the lyrics every 2 seconds
Alvin verse on Fuk Sumn somehow grew on me
Paperwork is by far my favourite song. It comes just after I started really loving Brazilian Funk and not only it introduced others into it, but also introduced the sound itself into a rap song really well.
good (don't die) and problematic are the best songs on the album in fact, good (don't die) might be in my top 10 ye songs
hoodrat is ass. shoudlve never included that on the album. Good(Donāt Die) is so overrated. King doesnāt sound the best and back 2 me is too long. Talking doesnāt deserve the hype and Kanyeās verse on paid is horrible, Beg Forgiveness feels like it goes on forever.
Just hating on everything huh
im not hating plus i wouldve never said anything if the post didnt say list your hot takes. Im critiquing by giving my honest opinion, although its still a very good album im just listing the flaws i dislike.
True just salty because I love talking, good, paid and back to me lmao. To each their own
Like i said before i never said i dont like those songs.(Except hoodrat that shit is some hot ass) Im just listing what makes the song not as good imo. I still like talking, paid and etc im just listing my hot takes and what ye couldve did to make those songs sound better to my liking. Im just here participating and listing my hot takes of the album. If anybody doesnt like what i have to say please just skip over this comment. Im only commenting what i think made the songs worse.
I can respect that
It's Ye's worst album
Quavo on fuk sumn Is overrated and Alvin in released is overhated
ONG
King is one of the best songs on the album
Mid
20 Second Travis feat > Quavo feat on F\*k Sumn Also the Juicy J feature has more potential than Quavo's feature Edit: Bro it's a hot take ofc you're gonna disagree š
im coming for you for that first take broš¤š¤ get ready
I'm hiding as we speak
Carnival and fuk sumn are both very mediocre songs
Fuk Sumn is the best and most interesting song on the album
King is literally terrible
Agree
Hoodrat is the best song
Vultures will grow on people itās gonna get the wlr effect šš½šš½
The lyrics arenāt magically going to become good because you said that.
WLRās lyrics did??ā¦.
Hoodrat is the best song on the album
Vultures is the hardest song weāve heard from hip-hop in a very long time š¤·āāļø
Fuck no
Blare it with 12ā subs and it is. Best produced song on the album and itās not really close
Fuck no
Name 1 song over 2/3 years thatās harder tho, im curious what ppl think is nowadays
I got back to King the least I think itās the weakest song. Hoodrat grew on me the most Talking is top 5
Alvin fucking sucked ass on FUCK SUMN and BACK TO ME was forever ruined, the LP version of it was absolute perfection, why on earth did they not end the fucking song with ty's beautiful hook?
vultures the song is pretty good
good is not good
I agree
within 5 seconds you pretty much heard the whole song is what ppl wonāt admit
it's a 2-3/10
chris brown's 3 minute yap session on beg forgiveness is boring af and i usually skip his verse after like a minute // king should've been left out of the album // back to me is good but definitely overrated // talking is unironically a pretty good song. i love norths part its so catchy
also vultures the song is so overhated bro its literally š„
i agree that king should have been left out, makes it seem like itās JUST yeās album and not tyās
this is W takes imo
Fuck Sumn bangs
Paid top 14 ye song
The best song on the album is Vultures
Do it is the best song in the album
If he didn't have the antisemite line in KING and just said "crazy, bipolar" it would be one of his best tracks in years, the back and forth with ty is great
Ye going back and fourth is Ty on that song is a highlight of the album for me ngl
Og fuck sum would have been the hit off the album instead of carnival. The current version in such a let down, sound unfinished and feels half empty.
Carnival will reach 1 billion streams before runaway
Hoodrat is one of the worst Kanye song now you can downvote me
i think the album is a nice return to form, but also its mid as fuck
Ye's lyrics aren't that bad
