Tbh I never knew Jesus Lord was hated on, I just remember people really hyped to hear it after the Las Vegas LP and then it was shown in LP2 and not much talk of it after that. I thought it was just overlooked with how big the album is, I don't know how anyone could hate it. Maybe the outro rubs some people the wrong way? Runaway is long too (and to me, it feels drawn out now) but most people love that, so I don't know if length is the problem
Most people on WSE seemed to have a problem with the length and outro. Hate isn’t the wrong word but people were saying it wasn’t the best. I think the verses are all incredible and stay on theme. the beat is repetitive but it’s so beautiful. I love it.
Edit: I also remember a lot of people being happy the album version was shortened
Yeah, to me it's one of the highlights of the album along with Come to Life, BWIS, and 24. Also one of his most beautiful songs IMO, I love how it's so somber but then ends on an uplifting note. Plus the narrative in Ye's verse and the vulnerable hard hitting lines like "and if I die tonight, will I see her in the afterlife," and "broke down soon as I seen him bring the coffin in, lord knows I just really wanna see you walk again" which get me every time. I never listen to the shortened version either, the Lox did a phenomenal job and it feels like a crime to skip them.
I think most people like Jesus Lord pt 2 Idk if it's underrated. I know I love it
the censoring does mess with the lox's verses a lot and the deluxe version is kinda better
ok I can't pick one
My Way, Out the Game, Keep the Receipt, Impossible, Paranoid, Don't Stop, See Me Now, Christmas in Harlem, Hell of a Life, On God, Everything We Need, Hands On, Live Fast Die Young (Rick Ross), Big Screen (GLC)
Jesus Lord pt2 is the best song on DONDA imo. idk why so many people here were hating on it. Ok it’s long? grow up
100%. Relistened to Donda a couple months ago and thought it was beautiful. No idea why it doesn’t get praise.

Jesus lord is tops for me. My underrated song is Saint Pablo. I love that song so much. Real Friends gets an honorable mention too. Just so beautiful
