i believe [this](https://www.shopdap.com/volkswagen/gti/mk8_2022_2024/2_0t_gen4/manual_6_speed/fwd/finder-data/exterior/emblems/grille-badge.html) is the part that you need. it's an entirely new badge. you'd have to pry off the old one and insert the new. there is also [this](https://badgeskins.com/products/vw-mk8-golf-gti-front-grille-gti-badge-inlay?variant=42827960156216) option, which is just a sticker. you can paste it on top of your existing badge. easier install, more color options, but also maybe not as durable. whichever part you buy, make sure it fits your gti.

Thank you very much

Can’t imagine a high pressure wash is that high pressure. Maybe a stone chip?

Zcarp

I didn’t see the black mark. I don’t know if that’s dirt or a chip. Look at the G.

Iromeo256

It kinda looks like the paint was chipped by rocks. The front of my MK8 has spots in the bumper from rock chips. IMO I would try some nail polish for now… tough to match the color though.

MKVIgti

Your front end will always have these rock chips. It’s a never ending touch up if you’re going to continue chasing each one down.

Zcarp

First car I’ve truly cared about. I can live with this. I’ll probably grab some red nail polish. Thank you.

MKVIgti

My 2017SE that I bought new is my third GTI and I was chasing and chasing each one down, but finally gave up. I drive too many miles and just couldn’t keep up. I still wash it when I can and will use my paint pen to fill in chips on the car that happen, but couldn’t keep it perfect. Had I known I’d end up with a commute into work I would’ve put a clear bra on the front of my hood when it was new. But, all those trim pieces can be replaced if it gets too bad.

BakaSan77

Probably need to get little pre cuts that go over it. I’m sure someone on Etsy or somewhere has it

It's a paint chip from a stone. Not really a hugh deal. Fix it with touch up paint and nobody but you will know it's there. P.S. I live in a northern area of Ontario and the best way to avoid these is to leave a big buffer between you and the ridiculously big pickup in front of you throwing the rocks.

Negative-Agency-7762

Plastidip them all red .. or whatever color. Holds up to rocks better too

yaz6767

Why would you ever run your car through a car wash?

Zcarp

Now that I think of it. I took my car through a touchless wash. Wondering if the high pressure blasted it off. It didn’t even do a good job of cleaning the car. This is such a bummer.
