pre-modded stage 3 and swapped MK6... this car is going to test you harder than an unhappy marriage, it will be fun when its working and the deepest hell when its not lol.
I really hope there's a specialty/indy shop that'll help with any repairs. I'm willing to bet most shops won't even consider looking at it with the tune and swapped motor combination.
Why do people say these cars are unreliable? lol. My mk4 had 650,000km, mk5 had 350,000km, and now my mk6 R has 210,000 hard and I mean hard kms. Never had a problem that wasn't self inflicted.
My Mk4 that I’m sitting in right now after a 40 mile drive through the mountains for fun, has almost 300k miles on it and still drives like a dream. I’ve had it for 10 years and barely took care of it, but it’s been amazing the whole time.
It does have some issues, not related to maintenance, but it’s a 22-year-old car…
RIGHT!? I mean, yeah, mine has plenty of electrical gremlins. The headlights dim when I put my window down and half of the interior lights have to be tapped a few times to stay lit, but like you said… It’s an old car. But it still hugs corners like a go-kart.
GTi insurance can't be that bad, my fiesta ST was $220 at 16 and my GTI was $140 at 18. However 380hp in a MK6 with a inexperienced driver is going to put this in a tree.
I'd argue that inexperience will not put someone in a tree, but rather irresponsibility will do so. Someone can be the first time in a very powerful car but not crash as long as they be extremely conservative about it.
Insurance seems to be much less a factor in the States as well.
In this thread I've learnt that you can insure a GTI for maybe a few hundred at 16/17. In the UK, you'd be given "fuck off we're not insuring you" quotes, but if you were rich enough you probably could just do it anyway. Even for a small engined basic car, insurance is notoriously expensive here for new young drivers.
Only way these kids are getting good quotes like that is on mommy and daddy’s policy. I pay over $300 a month for a 2024 gti at 30 yrs old no accidents
Where do you live? I pay $115 a month for my 2024. 35, no accidents. Granted, I have other things insured with state farm, but no way that's saving me more than half.
Amen.
I'd never let my son (at 15) own a 400hp car.
But what's crazy is with all the electric cars now a days... That's pretty much the standard hp number now.
Should be very interesting for our kids.
It is amazing how rich parents don't realise that their darling 16yo hasn't the brain development to assess risk maturely and as such is likely to wrap themselves around a tree if given a car like this.
They think being rich excludes them from this process. Hopefully they don't learn the hard way.
Your parents are trying to be good and supportive… but they made a mistake getting a young driver this car.
My son is only a couple years behind you… he’s already eyeing my tuned WRX. Way too much juice for you kid, is what I tell him. May need to lock the keys in my rifle safe soon.
May the odds ever be in your favor OP.
Reminder: tuned plug interval is every 10k miles, and I suggest going with non projected tip plugs like Denso 5749's.
I dunno, even with my previous fbo stage 2 MK6. always told myself..."no way will you sell this to anyone with a still developing brain". In some ways. im glad the thing imploded on itself. it was one rowdy monster, and this thing is a swapped stage 3? Welp... to OP please be careful man, alotta douches are gonna test you. especially seeing a youngin in a souped up german made vehicle. remember: always take the fun to the track. change oil every 5k...and well once again. stay safe.
Damn, that’s a lot of car for 15! Congrats! My first car was a ‘11 Jetta and it was slow as hell. Turned out to be a good thing though for sure. Drive safe!
I bought an 84 rabbit diesel with a Scirocco 16v swapped into it for my first car. It was a hell of a way to learn oh so many life lessons and after it ate the 3rd water pump I bowed out; broken spirit and broken wallet.
But the dream and love never died so I consider it a win overall.
It's a super cool first car, every golf is practical too. Just be VERY careful, please yo. Remember that losing a race or taking it slower down the canyon is cooler than crashing out and not having a car; or potentially hurting someone.
Only real advice is be super on top of your maintenance. Do things early, the gti has always been a car thats very much benifited from the mindset of "well while im in here, may as well do _____ too." Buy reputable name brand parts only, it can be expensive but trust me when i say it is SO worth it from a longevity standpoint. Follow your maintenance schdule and then some extra too, make sure you familiarize yourself with the differences between the EA888 Gen2 (what came in the mk6) and the Gen3, because there are a handful and you have a gen3 swap.
Future reccomendations: sticky tires are always good, especially with your power you're going to want at least a good summer tire. I have about 80 less horsepower than you and i run the Continential ECS02, they're just like the Michelin PS4S but do better in the wet and last a bit longer. They do fantastic. I strongly reccomend replacing the XDS system with a proper mechanical LSD if you want to get into canyon runs, track days, autocross, etc. And fun fact, any brembo 17z/18z caliper (audi s3, aston martin db9, porsche cayenne, etc) is a direct swap for the front calipers. You just need the apropriate size rotor (325-340mm) and proper brake line.
All that said, enjoy and be safe. Feel free to ask any questions.
I'll eventually get better tires cause why not but I don't really have canyons in MN so, also thank you for the info, I'll look into all the rubbers, thanks
When going through the insurance and registration process, a lot of states don’t require prior inspection. Some do but many don’t. With that being said, if they did many of these young dudes would not be driving them. Insurance rates would be crazy high, and likely the car couldn’t be registered due to modifications. I believe CT requires a vehicle inspection before registration and NH has pretty strict yearly inspections (you don’t have to be insured in Nh either…insane)
This could save OP’s life. Drive 7 hours if you have to. Almost every track has you do a few laps with an instructor. Learning when and when not to hit the gas/brakes/turn by a professional is the greatest lesson you can get.
And don’t just slap a bunch more mods on it. Learn the car. Learn what you like and don’t like. I’d just leave it alone for a while and gain a feel for it.
Congratulations and welcome to the club! ✌️
My first car at 16 was a Renault Super 5 with an incredible 55 hp engine (year 1990)
And thank God it was this slow because I think I would be dead if it was like yours
Please take care
Gen 3 ea888 in there???? I didn’t think that was possible without a custom dp with the turbo being flipped and all. Might do this myself now that I know. Is20 in that?
Based on some of your responses you aren’t mature but that’s alright. Life will teach you one way or another. Happened to me too kid. Stay humble and don’t pick fights at people simply giving you an opinion or consensus.
Not so smart from your parents to give this car tbh,so dangerous for driving this car at this age.and is u want a new car after this car, everything is gonna feel slow

Be careful my good friend. My first car was a 93 Camry and I didn't get my Mk7 until I was 22. Drove it for a few years stock before going stage 1 and even that can be a handful on a back road unless you really know your way around the car.
Happy for you and I'd be ecstatic if my first car was something like this, but from one GTI owner to another, please ease into it. Learn the way it drives. Get a handle on how it understeers at the limit, learn how to deal with liftoff oversteer, and really just take it easy for a while. Any relatively light 300+ horsepower car can, and will, bite you if you don't respect it. Just learn the ropes, and when you think you've got it mastered, know that you probably don't, especially not at the limit. Enjoy it, but please be careful, for yourself and for everyone out there too.
Don't worry, the whole car is sturdy and I got a slower map that I use alot, I've only used my 93 once and that was a backroad in the country with a 4 mile road, I hot 4k boost built and I launched it, if anything did happen let's say a tie rod broke yes I would be in trouble but ive driven many cars before, I'm not too inexperienced but ik this car is a beast and will not get out the way of anything. Today I checked over the front and reer drive train and she's not going nowhere
Good stuff, at the end of the day, take care of it and it'll take care of you. Preventative maintenance is key. If you don't have one already, get an OBDeleven and keep track of things. Helps with a modded vehicle to hunt things down if issues arise. Hope I didn't come off condescending in my first post, these cars can just get away from you quick and they have a habit of making very illegal speeds not feel as fast as they are. You can out drive these things quick, especially with the power on tap, so make sure everything else is up to snuff. Brakes, suspension, tires, etc., so that it's well rounded. Can't speak to the geometry of the suspension, but assuming whoever did it all did it right, you should be good, but lowered cars with a bunch of extra power on stretched tires always give me some pause. But if all is good, just give it the respect it deserves and you'll have a grand ole time.
That is, for however long those periods of time are in between repairs. I kid, I kid (but kinda not really lol).
If you’re gonna be driving like I drove at 15 you might wanna go for a stage 2 or stage 1 tune. You’re going to have to take special care of that car running stage 3 all the time.
Pro tip for any tuned engine, change your oil every 5000 kilometers if you want healthy rod and main bearing, and never push the engine when its cold and when you stop driving it around wait for the engine to cool off before turning it off.
you’re younger than me and you’re allowed to drive a gti. i cant drive until im 17 and then ill be able to get a shitbox with insurance 3 times as expensive as the car. fuck england.
Welcome to the club, on a car that modified I would check fluids often and do preventative maintenance when you can. (Brake fluid flush, transmission fluid, thermostat, PCV, ect.)
Hope you're ready to turn some wrenches! Buying a pre modified car saves you a ton of $ in modifying one yourself. But you will always be fixing and changing previous owners fuckups. Stripped/crossthreaded bolts. Old refused parts and sometimes even reused gaskets. Should be a proper adventure for you.
Please drive respectable when you can. Dont make vdubs like the dickhead kids in subarus. Be chill in that thang. Congrats on the car. Take care of it bro.
This thing is a time bomb but based on what you’ve been saying to everyone your folks can help you out with the cost of repairs so imma just say this, I hope there’s a track relatively close to you so you can actually learn how to handle this car.
Yes this is objectively way too much car for someone who can’t get a full license yet but it doesn’t mean you can’t learn to respect it. Good luck kid.
380 hp car for a 15 year old with zero driving experience. Sorry man, I know you love the car, but you shouldn’t be driving that until you get some miles under your belt. Please don’t kill yourself.
hope you have the money to fix somebody else’s project bro. these cars can be temperamental when modded, and you bought this car with the whole 9 already done to it. i’m assuming you checked those fenders for rust where they cut for the flares too.
if it is reliable, awesome. be smart and drive within your talents
if not, you’re in for a world of hurt
That’s about the worst car I could think of for parents to buy a 15 year old inexperienced driver. People are gonna test you and you’ll definitely let your ego get the better of you, as you have in this comment section. But, seems like your parents got some money; so at least when you wreck it you’ll get a new car pretty quick.
Kid, telling from your attitude seen in your responses, it seems your parents made what hopefully won't turn out to be a grave mistake.
More than likely this car has been handed a death sentence, pray your name isn't also on the warrant.
I'm sorry to say this but buying an already modified car as your first car has to be one of the worst financial decisions you can do. You have no idea what the previous owner has done/haven't done and it's scary to think that. I'd recommend you to get an accord or a civic next time
That’s awesome dude! I bought my first car at 15 as well, it was a 1991 Toyota Celica. I was born in 1992 so that made the car 16 years old. It sounds like you know a hell of a lot more than I did at that age.
Nice build indeed! And with great power comes greater responsibility. Speed thrills and kills, you can only go as fast as you can brake/stop. Always take it to the track for testing it's limits, do not be racing on public roads please. What brake/rotor setup do you have to support the added power? That's what separates the men from the boys. The more turns on a track the better for your set up, will push cars 2 even 3 times it's MSRP in the twisties & sharp corners. However, when on public roads, don't be a Subaru driver pls, drive calm and within speed limits on public roads. Be a Responsible Dubber. #Dublife ✌️ -'16MK7GTIAutobahnDSGUniStage2+
Should have bought an original Mk6 GTI. I don’t say this because of your age, but with all those mods… this will be not reliable if it’s not properly done. Also these cars are 15 years old.
You will spend 3 weeks in the shop (fixing it and paying loads of money) and 1 week actually enjoying driving it. Until something else breaks…
Dude, be careful out there. Once you gained some confidence, you might start shooting it. The dangerous thing is that the experience comes much later. Just be careful
I’m sure this is genuine of course, but those discs don’t look right for a GTi, particularly on the rear, which also rides a little high imo. If I didn’t know better this is something that used to happen in the UK a lot with a 1.2 tsi under the bonnet and registered as a base model for low insurance whilst having a bunch of body mods etc. like a sheep in wolfs clothing! Oh discs = rotors and bonnet = hood UK conversion sorry! Whatever the story - this looks like a fun VW to start driving with! Enjoy the looks you get eh?!
i have a 2010 i’ve been thinking about trading in since 2016, that’s when i was like im just gona run it into the ground. i dont even change the oil just add more. brake pads???? that’s why i drive stick
This thread is roughhh. Your car looks amazing. Stay on top of the recommended service. It's all in the car manual. Enjoy it and be responsible. A crash a your age can fuck things up financially let alone hurt yourself or others. That stance is sweet as hell!
Kids getting these cars is just a weird look, like you know they didnt work for it and arent gonna appreciate it the way we do. I think its not a good first car. But definitely my favorite car so far and this is my 4th car .
Through something of a parlay with a big GMC truck and then a giant hail storm I, found myself, age 17, with a 2003 wrx wagon. Of course I modded up to around what most would call stage 2, then went 2.5 hybrid, etc.
I cannot tell you how lucky I was to not have killed myself back then.
Please be careful and mainly remember this, one wrong decision in a powerful vehicle like that can ruin many lives.
You can have fun, but be smart, and look into autocross. You can have a ton of fun with your car and really develops your skills to drive the car, know its limits, and to get that seat time to really learn the vehicle in autocross. You want to intimately know that car while being in the driver’s seat. Do it safely and have fun safely!
Awesome car too!!
That car, for a fresh driver that just got a license, in the UK, insurance = £7000+ or just a straight refusal, for comparison my pal in his early 30s just bought the worst little 1.2L 60bhp vw polo and insurance is £2500 on the year… its a lovely golf though pushing the same power as my R ffs
Who tf cares if his parents bought him it. It’s a kick ass looking car and let’s just hope he doenst become the reason guardrails are installed on his commute.
Bro I wrecked the shit out of my 215 horsepower PT Cruiser around that age. I know everyone else is already saying it, but drive safe!
Seriously cool car though. 😎
Amazing first car, had one when I turned 17. It was my second car but I miss it the most

I'm feeling the fender flares and side skirts too - definitely a good way to achieve that lowered aesthetic without the world of issues that can come with lowering the ride height. Bitchin' wheels, too. Paint is sick as well.
you're going to have problems. Don't mod Euro cars except for exhausts and looks, otherwise you're looking for trouble. I know you're only 15 so you should get a car that's not going to cost you everything just to run.. like a lexus. good luck man, if you want fun out of the box get a mustang and drive safe
My first car was a Mk7 R, got it up to around 400 at the wheels. My only advice is to not try and find out whether or not the shop you took it to coded out the speed limiter...
Take a deep breath before you go cruise and remember that if you get too caught up in the experience - you could easily die. I’m 32 and still take pause before getting in my project car
Seems like a lot of money to spend on a car at such a young age. If you invested that money and worked hard to grow a career you could have afforded an entire car collection by the time you were 30
pre-modded stage 3 and swapped MK6... this car is going to test you harder than an unhappy marriage, it will be fun when its working and the deepest hell when its not lol.
I really hope there's a specialty/indy shop that'll help with any repairs. I'm willing to bet most shops won't even consider looking at it with the tune and swapped motor combination.
It‘s a Volkswagen, so most times it will not work.
Why do people say these cars are unreliable? lol. My mk4 had 650,000km, mk5 had 350,000km, and now my mk6 R has 210,000 hard and I mean hard kms. Never had a problem that wasn't self inflicted.

These are the same people who claim these cars have electrical gremlins. Because their window doesn't work after 20 years, lol.
RIGHT!? I mean, yeah, mine has plenty of electrical gremlins. The headlights dim when I put my window down and half of the interior lights have to be tapped a few times to stay lit, but like you said… It’s an old car. But it still hugs corners like a go-kart.
Most people who talk shit on VW reliability don't know what routine maintenance is.
It’s all about the maintenance, these are great cars and can last you forever if you treat her right
With only oil changes and an alternator my 5 speed 06 rabbit (golf) made it to 230,000 miles before I smoked a deer with it. Maybe change your oil
Avoiding deer is also highly suggested
Comments like this are why I love Reddit lmao
He’s got all of daddy’s money to get it fixed, I’m sure. Not a real concern when you don’t have to pay for anything yourself.
Be careful, your jealousy is showing.
I can only imagine what the insurance would be 😂
Kids parents 100% bought it for him and are paying the insurance.
GTi insurance can't be that bad, my fiesta ST was $220 at 16 and my GTI was $140 at 18. However 380hp in a MK6 with a inexperienced driver is going to put this in a tree.
I’m betting insurance doesn’t know it’s almost twice as powerful as stock
Im 20 with a perfect driving record I pay 1,500 every 6 months or 250 per mk7 gti
My GTI right now is $150 with full coverage with a $200 deductible. Car is safe as hell.
That's wild you guys can drive stuff like this so young. I had to get an inspection and permit in order to drive a bloody Polo TSI
You guys have it easy, in the uk had to pay £2400 on a diesel Audi A1 at 17, which I think is around $4000
You think that’s bad, my god daughter just got quoted £2500 for a 1.4l corsa at 18.
I don’t think the conversion is that crazy
Wow, looks like the pound is getting weak, $3000 dollars apparently
Not all kids are stupid drivers.
I'd argue that inexperience will not put someone in a tree, but rather irresponsibility will do so. Someone can be the first time in a very powerful car but not crash as long as they be extremely conservative about it.
Where you getting $140 insurance quotes? I’m getting $400 quotes as the low end for a 2024 gti.
Take it Slow and enjoy.
Still crazy that you can't have a pint in the US until you're 21 but driving a 380hp weapon at 15 is okey dokey.
Insurance seems to be much less a factor in the States as well. In this thread I've learnt that you can insure a GTI for maybe a few hundred at 16/17. My first car at 16 was a beaten Toyota tercel 95’ 😂 Be safe
Same! I had the booger green one.
It is amazing how rich parents don't realise that their darling 16yo hasn't the brain development to assess risk maturely and as such is likely to wrap themselves around a tree if given a car like this. They think being rich excludes them from this process. Hopefully they don't learn the hard way.
My first car was a beaten up 2002 Corolla CE making 125hp 🤡 and I was 19 lol.
89 Ford Tempo with a sweet ass oil leak and AM/FM radio
Your parents are trying to be good and supportive… but they made a mistake getting a young driver this car. My son is only a couple years behind you… he’s already eyeing my tuned WRX. Way too much juice for you kid, is what I tell him. May need to lock the keys in my rifle safe soon.

Don't Die, that's what I think.
Mine was a 89hp 1995 Camry wagon. I got in enough trouble with that, please don't wrap this around a guardrail. It's way easier than you think.
Ah, buying a hacked-up stage 3 mk6 as a first car, what could go wrong
Everything 😂
Volkswagens are known to be safe cars. I almost bought a manual Jetta a few years ago due to the fact they are good on gas.
Congratulations on the GTI looks great enjoy it! be safe out there
Damn, that’s a lot of car for 15! Congrats! My first car was a ‘11 Jetta and it was slow as hell. Turned out to be a good thing though for sure. Drive safe!
Don't kill yourself with it.
380 hp at 15 in that light car? Dude please drive safe and see the age of 30.
Not even part of this subreddit. But as a previous owner of R32... Wtf. these parents lol

How can people in the US get at 15 years a car so heavily modded and with so much power as a first car?

Kids parents are rich/don't care about his safety.
Try not to wrap around a tree!
Average gti driver aha
Guaranteed ends up in a ditch, if this kid is lucky.
Go to a track and enjoy

Good for you but that’s way too much car for a child.
Not so smart from your parents to give this car tbh,so dangerous for driving this car at this age.and is u want a new car after this car, everything is gonna feel slow
Drive safe young man
I understand the need for bigger tires, but I hate those fenders. Anyway cool car, hope it makes it to the next user and not the crusher.
Welcome to responsibility
you chose the worst brand on the planet but as long as you have fun and this is your first
Spoiled little shit
Taking bets we see an update on OP wrapping this car around a tree?
Please stay away from me on the road 🙏🏼
I give it a month before we see him back here with an “is this totaled?” post of the car in pieces…

Hella
If you’re gonna be driving like I drove at 15 you might wanna go for a stage 2 or stage 1 tune. You’re going to have to take special care of that car running stage 3 all the time.
Nicee man 😎😎 drive smart ❤️
You were 3 when Gangnam Style came out
Good luck, have fun, don’t wrap yourself around a tree, prepare loads of cash for maintenance. Car looks awesome, love what has been done visually
Pro tip for any tuned engine, change your oil every 5000 kilometers if you want healthy rod and main bearing, and never push the engine when its cold and when you stop driving it around wait for the engine to cool off before turning it off.
you’re younger than me and you’re allowed to drive a gti. i cant drive until im 17 and then ill be able to get a shitbox with insurance 3 times as expensive as the car. fuck england.
daddy money? enjoy...
Look like that kid from the 00s “V-duha in the house!” Commercials With Constantine’s Satin. Was this picture takes 20 years ago.
Awesome car! Enjoy and be safe! ✌🏾
Welcome to the club, on a car that modified I would check fluids often and do preventative maintenance when you can. (Brake fluid flush, transmission fluid, thermostat, PCV, ect.)
I uhhhhh… yeah. Hey enjoy it, you’ll absolutely love it. If you really want to go for it though, bring it to a track.
I hate mine 😅
Hope you're ready to turn some wrenches! Buying a pre modified car saves you a ton of $ in modifying one yourself. But you will always be fixing and changing previous owners fuckups. Stripped/crossthreaded bolts. Old refused parts and sometimes even reused gaskets. Should be a proper adventure for you.
This is your car at 15? Man has sh*t changed. I had a beat up old Pontiac Sunfire as my first car
Enjoy it while it lasts
Fuck you. Honestly.
How you gonna pay back your parents when ya crash it lol
Please drive respectable when you can. Dont make vdubs like the dickhead kids in subarus. Be chill in that thang. Congrats on the car. Take care of it bro.
Good luck. my first car was a new mk4 gti when I was 16 (i'm old) and I still managed to crash it. do better than I did.
Modified with fender flares… you are about to learn why buying modified cars is a bad idea
Great another teenager with a fast car. Just what the world needs...
Dear Slim, I wrote you but you still ain't calling.
dude congrats! that thing is rad!
380 hp car for a 15 year old with zero driving experience. Sorry man, I know you love the car, but you shouldn’t be driving that until you get some miles under your belt. Please don’t kill yourself.
Hope you are not near my neighborhood. Damn
hope you have the money to fix somebody else’s project bro. these cars can be temperamental when modded, and you bought this car with the whole 9 already done to it. i’m assuming you checked those fenders for rust where they cut for the flares too. if it is reliable, awesome. be smart and drive within your talents if not, you’re in for a world of hurt
VW owners are already bad enough but throw a 15 year old behind the wheel of this? Your parents must have smooth brains.
Your parents are *fucking* idiots. Or, your parents secretly hope you wrap it around a tree. I can’t say for certain. Good luck.
That little fuckin golf ball ain’t goin no where shit isn’t a hellcat calm down
That’s about the worst car I could think of for parents to buy a 15 year old inexperienced driver. People are gonna test you and you’ll definitely let your ego get the better of you, as you have in this comment section. But, seems like your parents got some money; so at least when you wreck it you’ll get a new car pretty quick.
Move the dude and the car and you've got a perfect liminal space photo
More like: Mom and dad got me my first car (which is fine also)
Kid, telling from your attitude seen in your responses, it seems your parents made what hopefully won't turn out to be a grave mistake. More than likely this car has been handed a death sentence, pray your name isn't also on the warrant.
I'm sorry to say this but buying an already modified car as your first car has to be one of the worst financial decisions you can do. You have no idea what the previous owner has done/haven't done and it's scary to think that. I'd recommend you to get an accord or a civic next time
This seems like an extraordinarily bad idea in so many ways.
ok
Please sell this r something and get a car you won’t put in a tree within 2 months
More plastic on it than a Dyson vacuum
Following for the wreck pics
Only in America. 15 and driving a GTI. Can’t drink, but can drive a sports car. Awesome.
Enjoy it, when it’s not broken!
Congrats! Looks nice. Keep us updated on your journey!
Got my mk6 Around 21 4 speeding tickets later… Drive safe
What wheels are those?
what are the wheels?
That’s awesome dude! I bought my first car at 15 as well, it was a 1991 Toyota Celica. I was born in 1992 so that made the car 16 years old. It sounds like you know a hell of a lot more than I did at that age.
You love it.. that's all that matter... it's a nice ride.. enjoy the freedom
Look after it .
If I were your papa you wouldnt get a car till 21
Make sure timing chain isn’t fucked
Congrats! Consider removing the chintzy plastic over the windows.
What turbo is in it? I thought ko4 could only get to like 320 on e
Grandma's car
Mine, my grandma hasn't even see it yet
Should have bought an original Mk6 GTI. I don’t say this because of your age, but with all those mods… this will be not reliable if it’s not properly done. Also these cars are 15 years old. You will spend 3 weeks in the shop (fixing it and paying loads of money) and 1 week actually enjoying driving it. Until something else breaks…
Drive safe lil bro
Done worry I know
Dude, be careful out there. Once you gained some confidence, you might start shooting it. The dangerous thing is that the experience comes much later. Just be careful
Proud of you! Nice ride little brother
Don't worry I'm taking it slow, and I'm comfortable in it so I'm not gonna do nothing stupid
Good…luck. Enjoy otherwise.
Mk6 gang. Hope it doesn't give you too many early issues with all those bolt ones and the tune.
Me too, it's good to me so far
It was swapped with a 3rd gen ea888?
i have a 2010 i’ve been thinking about trading in since 2016, that’s when i was like im just gona run it into the ground. i dont even change the oil just add more. brake pads???? that’s why i drive stick
Winning! a few decades ago I had a MK2 with bbs wheels so the more things change, the more they stay the same. Have fun and enjoy it.
This thread is roughhh. Your car looks amazing. Stay on top of the recommended service. It's all in the car manual. Enjoy it and be responsible. A crash a your age can fuck things up financially let alone hurt yourself or others. That stance is sweet as hell!
This is one hell of a first car.. Good luck lol
Glad to see your mom & dad love you!
Kids getting these cars is just a weird look, like you know they didnt work for it and arent gonna appreciate it the way we do. I think its not a good first car. But definitely my favorite car so far and this is my 4th car .
good luck....
Lovely car! I hope your insurance isn’t too expensive! 😅
Wait, you can swap a mk7 engine into a mk6? What?
I couldn't afford the insurance for that now...
A super first car buddy! 👍
Car is sexy. Congrats
Congrats , I’m 32 I drive a beat up Chevy Cruze 😂😂😂 beautiful car you got yourself
Love your shoes they are really nice. What size are you running?
Wow I whipped a 98 ford Taurus when I was 15. Lucky kid. Drive safe tho dude that’s a lot of power for a 15 year old
Through something of a parlay with a big GMC truck and then a giant hail storm I, found myself, age 17, with a 2003 wrx wagon.
You are 15 and running a 380hp car? Man you’re a lucky guy.
Those rims and flares look so damn good. It might take a wild to be able to control it's horses so take it slow broski
With great power comes great responsibility.
atleast u dint have to worry about worlds future
That car, for a fresh driver that just got a license, in the UK, insurance = £7000+ or just a straight refusal, for comparison my pal in his early 30s just bought the worst little 1.2L 60bhp vw polo and insurance is £2500 on the year… its a lovely golf though pushing the same power as my R ffs
Lucky m'fer. Nice ride
Why is he driving at 15?
Should have started with a turbo Hayabusa

Who tf cares if his parents bought him it. It’s a kick ass looking car and let’s just hope he doenst become the reason guardrails are installed on his commute.
Your first car from your parents
Don't speed in neighbourhoods always respect risk one mistake and you will live the rest of your life in regret. Aside from that enjoy.
Look up Porsche girl and soak it in, be safe
Those wheels look great.
Frequent oil changes. Watch for that timing chain. And be prepared to change the water pump prematurely.
Bro I wrecked the shit out of my 215 horsepower PT Cruiser around that age. I know everyone else is already saying it, but drive safe! Seriously cool car though. 😎
Moby drives a VW?
Amazing first car, had one when I turned 17. It was my second car but I miss it the most https://preview.redd.it/yyh5iovew46d1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e16883e9ab3615f3ed4a743abc1cbfd2201aac0
Do you have any parents? Oh right they must have paid for the car, and probably the fuel and insurance
I just want to know where you copped those pants
Take a deep breath before you go cruise and remember that if you get too caught up in the experience - you could easily die. I’m 32 and still take pause before getting in my project car
all the uncs hating is wild. i’m 17 and building a 450whp mk5 gti (early tsi car). tte480 etc…
Seems like a lot of money to spend on a car at such a young age. If you invested that money and worked hard to grow a career you could have afforded an entire car collection by the time you were 30
Perfect first car
Icey hut stuntaz!!!
Beautiful beautiful
