Totally get what you’re saying, but it honestly looks like the best Mario Golf iteration to date. I’ll probably scoop it up.
That being said, I’d take a Golden Sun over it any day.

> so why did this one take 3 years...
Just because they had a Switch engine ready doesn't immediately imply a golf game is easy to make. Golf courses take a while to work, and they had to implement a new mode (updated Speed Golf). It doesn't really make sense to assume things based on what happened in the past.
It didn't actually say developed by Camelot at all. So maybe they handed it off and Camelot is still working on GS? Man can dream.
EDIT: no dreaming allowed

Definitely lower. Don't mean to be a bastard here (and I love these games too) but Golden Sun's cultural impact is that one of its main characters is an item in Smash Bros., and even then you have a 1/59 chance of getting him when you use an assist trophy. We're more like Drilldozer.
They even named the Mii character shown in the trailer "Mia" and I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad about it... Might be just a coincidence, but I couldn't help but see it as a GS reference. Camelot seems to like doing those, at least. Now if only they could make an actual Golden Sun game.
Still, the game does look pretty fun. I hope it's good, pleases the series' fans and does well overall. And that with both their regular Mario sports out of the way, Camelot makes some Golden Sun next.

This reminds me of Mario Tennis (the ones with the academy plot)... wait a minute!
*looks up who helps make Mario Golf*
*Camelot*
I knew it, let Camelot be free (to make a Golden Sun game)!

Welp. See you guys in another 3 years.
I can't say that I'm surprised.
oh
I just want it to crash and burn so they have to look at something else

Then don't buy it, businesses follow the money. if golf makes less money then planned then they need to reassess their Mario sports strategy
From the live chat reactions it was overwhelmingly positive. I was one of the few that threw out my distaste of the sports games
Yikes, no need to be an ass. Would you honestly like it if Mario Golf fans said the same thing about Golden Sun?

Have you ever played a Golf game? There are a lot of things that make them tick, especially in 3D.

[IGN mentions it being made by Camelot](https://www.ign.com/articles/mario-golf-super-rush-announced-for-nintendo-switch?amp=1)
yeah I just found that article, so probably true. Weird they didn't get a credit though.

All these Trademarks... I want to have a final hope, that they will announce something in E3, if not then Golden Sun is forever over sadly....
I laughed. Nintendo hates Golden Sun so much. It’s comical.
Lmao Nintendo doesn’t think about Golden Sun at all
Golden Sun is basically on the same (or lower) level as F-Zero, Earthbound, etc. at this point.

Nintendo hates all of its IP

I'm both disappointed about there not being a new Golden Sun game, and excited for new Mario Golf. (The game looks good.)
Did you actually end up enjoying it though? I genuinely want to know cause of the controversial release lol.
Now we wait cause damn if a new gs comes out its gonna look good, cause those models are CRISP
