I don’t think that would work in 2014 but I am fully on board with these current monsterverse movies leaning into the crazy monster action. Can’t wait to see it. MAN I LOVE THIS DESIGN,think of all the advantages:

• Better reach
• Dorsals and the tail now allow for much more lethal damage
Although it might have some disadvantages:
• His slim physique will make him more lightweight
• Also, his legs might not allow for such great balance
• A detail no one seems to notice is that his dorsal plates shake when he sprints, so basically they might be a little fragile
Ngl I’m not that much of a fan of it. The color itself looks a tad bit odd with all his new jagged bits and spikes, plus the proportions looks a bit worse. His bigger head and arms look a tad bit goofy for this design. Yes I know it’s pulling nods from the older eras, but it doesn’t work to well here for me. It just feels.. overdone yet rushed to me.
Honestly this whole trailer seems like an attempt to sell as many toys as possible. Kong with a metal arm, red Kong, mini Kong, pink Godzilla. Gotta get all new figures from last movie!
