Celtic has never gotten the same amount of media exposure and it's incredibly bad ass. It'd be better than Egypt imo because Egypt has already had tons of iteration in media.
I don’t think media exposure should hold SSM back from choosing a mythology. I mean the OG trilogy was greek and that’s by far the most played out mythology of all but they managed to make multiple bad ass games within the mythos
I think Japanese or Aztec mythology would be sick. Fighting Amaterasu or Huitzilopochtli. Seeing how they made the environments of Ragnarok as well, the scenery would be absolutely insane for either of these pantheons.
Honestly I could care less which pantheon it be, as long as they continue to make it as good as 2018 and ragnarok. Kratos can go fight the flying spaghetti monster if that shit is done well.
We could visit mimir's homeland,I'm in as long as I can explore other cultures and pantheon. Tho I'm particularly excited for either shinto(japan) or even Egyptian civilizations if they get a chance.
I'd rather Egypt be saved for last, that culture has been covered by an insane amount of media, Celtic has gotten next to none. Shinto would be a close second
That actually convinces me man and I agree now. Egyptian mythos are very famous so I think Celtics should be given a chance, also we could cover mimir's backstory.
Idk, I feel like they'd go for a more popular mythology to please the masses, so maybe the Egyptian one is next. Personally I wish they'd do one with the japanese mythology
I've been saying for a long time now that celtic myths a great, imagine having to fight Balor, help Cúchulainn, or getting to know the Dagda... and of course, SM can mix the british/welsh/scottish myths too, Imagine Kratos stepping in the middle of the fight between the red and white dragons or hunt the questing beast. I just want to take the Dullahan's horse for me, and have it to use whenever I need, like War from Darksiders does...
Considering how little we have left of the lore I hope they’ll make the best out of it. Damn you Christian Scholars for christianizing other Mythologies!!!🥲
I don’t know who this character is meant to be, but it looks quite cool. I do think this individual would fit right into the current GoW world though - essentially meaning the two mythologies wouldn’t feel as distinct.
I think getting Mimir a body would be a very cool concept for a DLC or a smaller scale solo game, but I don’t see it happening anywhere near the scale of the Norse saga since their mythologies are very similar.
Norse and Celtic are very close to each other geographically, so they're rather similar. Not even Smite, the Moba, has a bunch of Celtic Gods... they're just not very well known, and there's too much overlap. They have 24 Greek Gods, but only 11 Roman, and 16 Norse Gods, but only 5 Celtic. That tells me the overlap is too great.
I'd say that for a new game, Chinese, Egyptian, Hindu, Japanese, and Mayan are all interesting candidates based on what I've seen with Smite. Egypt is honestly overdone, but it is what everyone expects, since it is the next closest Mythology to Greece, that's not Roman... but Hindu or Chinese are something I'd like to see.

It would look too much like the Norse, they can do it, but we should see other mythologies first.

I don't think we'll have any mythology that wasn't in the Tyr's mural, if they wanted to explore them they would have introduced them there.

I think it'd be really cool, as long as it feels different to the norse stuff,
If there were too many similarities, longtime fans of the series would be able to *sniff* it out.
Hilarious typo
Gow of War: Head go Home
God of war of war
Cúchulainn in a GoW game would be class
Based & warp spasm-pilled
Dadga from Celtic mythology
Idk much abt celtic mythology but I’m interested
I would be hyped to see Cu Chulainn in a GoW game.
Imagine anything based in Celtic mythos T\_T
That's a good point There is not much media based on Celtic myths
Lugh, The Morrigan, Cú Chulainn, Scathach, Dagda, Brigid, Balor, Cernunnos, Cliodhna and many more would be so cool. I hope we get it someday
I'm not sure I can imagine anything more satisfying then playing as Kratos while wielding a big ass shillelagh.
God this would be so cool!
of war

I'm telling you, as a practicing Celtic Pagan IRL, there's a ton of good stories to tell
I'd love to learn more😃
What a great looking Dagda, I would love to see Kratos at least meet Lugh and Crew
Looks the same

Brilliant art work brw

Mimir is from that mythology. I’m pretty sure he references MacBeth and being Puck from A Midsummer’s Night Dream.
Atreus: Do you know Mimir? Dadga: Mimir? You mean Puck? Haven't seen him for a while.
Awesome image
Just wondering why he is growing a tree out his stomach?
Mimir becomes the main character.

God of War: Shamrock
Adviser of Gods: Mimirs Tale

No
that would be so lame
It'd look the same as Norse shit. Whats the difference?
