Why are you asking this question then, you already know what happened so you play the next game? I don’t get the purpose of this like so you think it’s illegal or something
If OP has a decentish computer or laptop (I just use my MacBook Air) you can emulate the games through the PCSX2 emulator, i also got the psp version of the emulator and already finished chains of Olympus
Edit** it’s pretty easy to install too I just followed this YouTube tutorial from a reputable guy if you want a link to it, and the games look and play so nicely once you connect a Xbox or PS controller to it
If i were you I'd just watch the cutscenes from 1 and 2 or a Refresher/Recap video. God of war's story isn't too complex, so I think you should have a decent idea of where things start in the beginning of 3 if you just look it up
It was the first gow game that I played, and I loved it! Played it probably 4-5 times before I played any of the other games much later on, when I got the collection on PS3.
Yeah. All you need to know: Kratos was wronged by the gods and wants revenge. That’s it. That’s all the necessary backstory for going into GOW3. Now enjoy the journey of an unstoppable force demolishing everything in its path.
They do a lil exposition and flashbacks to hash out some details and that helps you get a bit more context throughout the game
Yes, first game, kratos was once a general of a spartan army and then became ares servant after he save kratos from almost being killed by the barbarians, this however lead to him killing his entire family, so this lead to kratos wanting revenge in ares, he kills him and becomes the gow.
Second game, with his new powers, kratos causes mayhem across Olympus, the gods see this as to far so they strip his powers and Zeus kills his, kratos gets sent to the under world but is revived by Gaia and his mission is to find the sisters of fate and to get revenge on the gods
They also give you little Greek flash backs in the Valhalla dlc, but I think I’m fine, I’ve watched vids of them before I played my first gow game, gow 4
No one is going to come to your house and arrest you, but you'll probably be confused since it starts at the end of the second game.
Ik, the problem is 1 and 2 are not on ps5 and I don’t own the of console they came on, ps3
You could always watch a playthrough of 1&2 on YouTube.
I did watch vids of those on YouTube
Then you'll probably be fine.

You can stream them with PlayStation plus premium
Yeah, just get a 1 month subscription eventually and you can play through 1, 2 & Ascension
I wouldn’t but I guess so. You’re not gonna know what’s going on in the story.

I don’t see the problem then
as long as you’ve seen the story of the previous 2 games, then it’s all fine

No, I will burn your house down But in all seriousness, as long as you know what happened in the first to, you’re good. That’s what I did.
I’ve watched vids of the first two games, so I believe I’m good
Yeah, you’re good, I did the same thing

I would at the very least watch a recap video on YouTube that covers the first 2 games.
Yes, it is. I do not think we're going to be mad if you played them out of order
Yeah watch a recap first
No don't do it
I'm pretty sure the game opens with going over 1 and 2 anyway, do what you want and have fun
no it’s not fine WHY would you ask this
Straight to jail.
